Nice review. I'm looking at one of these to replace or 2013 Hyundai Elantra LTD. I want something with more power and better handling and visibility. I've heard the cloth seats and are also very comfortable ( I actually prefer cloth to leather even is the price was the same) and because it sits kind of high, access is easy and visibility is good. Price is right. These can be picked up new on dealer lots here in the SE USA for $17200.
Here in the USA, the 2017 Nissan Sentra SR Turbo can be had for $3500 to $4000 less than comparably equipped Honda Civic EX-T. That's significant money for most people. Also, I personally prefer the looks of the Sentra over the Civic. I like its elevated, more conservative profile which allows for easier access and better visibility. I think the Sentra has a more upscale exterior appearance. However, the Civic does have a slightly nicer interior, offers better fuel economy with regular unleaded and a little better resale. The civic, like so many new cars, is too low to the ground for my taste. If you are young, this is probably not a consideration. For a few bucks more than the Civic, I would prefer the Accord.
It's nice having Nigell Mansell do car reviews! :D
This car looks cool at night with its lighting.

I like Elantras. How has the reliability been?
Great review very informative and entertaining.. Thinking of getting one soon :)
all you have to do is go in the settings and configure it so it wont automatically lock your car when you drive off.
lol my 2012 sentra dose the same thing it dosent bother me plus its nice to know some yoyo cant just hop in youre car sitting at a stop light etc..
Good review & great Sentra.
I wish they still had the bigger engine and maybe turbo it. Would been nice if Nissan could drop the curb weight of the sentra
Nice review
That is ridiculous The Nissan Se r Spec v had 200hp, and 180 ft lb of torque.
True, but the B17 is 100 lbs lighter even though its much bigger than the b16. With the 100lb weight difference they accelerate about the same.
Muy
The new Civic in EX-T and Touring trim levels is far better.

Andrew Donald It better but what about the recalls? Scared to get civic.
Andrew Donald the Sentra looks better than the Civic, exterior wise
More power, bigger trunk, better stereo (Bose) lower insurance.
