    Interesting layout and perfect for hobbies - maybe even for large RC cars too and all their race kit! Love the drawer locking design, very simple but effective - thanks for the review, very interesting 😁👍

    Just incredible to see the prices in the UK vrs the USA. $65k us is about what one would have paid here in the States just 2 years ago. Instead of the $150k+ now. Well done 👏 ✔ 👍

    If this van was designed for track days it’s missing a big essential piece of kit in my eyes, an outside shower for cleaning yourself and the bikes.

    Shame the bed wasn’t adjustable for height so once unloaded you could drop it lower, even watching online gave me claustrophobia 😂. Otherwise lots to like as a track day/hobby van. Great tour guys, Shaun’s demo of the table did make me chuckle!

    In this heat, i am glad that I have a pop top and not a high top. It must be as hot as hell in a high top, without any mesh sides for ventilation.

    Is there some sort of insurance or commercial vs non commercial issue in England when building out a camper van? Why would you not have swivel front seats so they can integrate into the rear seating area? What a wasted opportunity. In the States you never see that setup.

    • @jamieh2239
      @jamieh2239 2 роки тому

      We like that layout so we are not sat in the same seats in the evening we spent all day driving in. It's an unusual layout in mass produced vans, seems more common in custom vans in the UK.

    • @HiruS22
      @HiruS22 2 роки тому

      To be fair, you don't see this layout very often in the UK either, a bit claustrophobic. Opening to the cab and having the front seats swivel would be more flexible, perfectly legal and not affect the insurance, so I've got to agree. But it's obviously been built to someone's individual requirements (who probably travels solo) and that's what van design is all about.

    That is just wrong in so many ways. Not least of all, when you go to Eurotunnel and they ask to check your gas is turned off, you would have to empty the garage to get to the gas cylinder. The "living space" is so cramped and having a curved backrest makes it awkward to sit with your feet up on the seating. Not that I would swap it for mine but it's a no from me.

    Considering the cut off building of Petrol or diesel vehicles at present being 2030, and likely being bought forward, no chance my next camper will be one of these. Especially as people will not buy 3/4/5 years before cut off date.
    Irrespective of that, a nice campervan.

      That's irrelevant. Everything has gone up hugely in price including the vast majority of cars. In 2011 a LWB Crafter started at £32,000, today a new LWB Crafter is £43,000 ( a rise of 34%). Whereas in 2011 a new BMW M3 would've cost £54,500 whereas today a new BMW M3 would cost you £79,500 (a rise of 46%). Everything has gone up in price and it's down to lots of different reasons, including Brexit, Covid and war.

    • @jordanrivers-scott6846
      @jordanrivers-scott6846 2 роки тому

      @JulianRowe no, it doesn’t as that is happening regardless to new vans. It just proves what good value this van is considering the cost to convert from the base vehicle. Instead, the residual value of your van(s)/fleet will be strong - a happy result 😉

  • @geoffdegg5254
    @geoffdegg5254 2 роки тому

    Absolutely claustrophobic. I guess after a while if you weren't overcome by petrol fumes, the inside toilet cartridge would stink the whole place out, not to mention the toilet following a few curries and beer.... yuk

    • @davidfoster9890
      @davidfoster9890 2 роки тому

      Having spent over 2 years in a similar layout touring Spain & France, with motorbike onboard, I can state there are no issues with petrol or toilet smells.

    • @geoffdegg5254
      @geoffdegg5254 2 роки тому

      I find that hard to believe. I saw no ventilation in the garage, nor no mention of it. The toilet smell mainly refers to the toilet disinfectant smell that lingers in the cartridge bay., but petrol smells will certainly leech into the living area. Furthermore, there are not many conversions that allow the cartridge to be removed from the inside because of that. Personally, as there is no sink in the bathroom and if it has a shower, I would have done away with that and have a portapotti in the garage and more space in the cabin area. Of course there is the hygiene element with no sink in the ridiculous bathroom
      In my opinion it is poorly designed and overpriced.
      I didn't see mention of electrical leisure batteries, or solar panel, i would think vital for race days, or hook up.
      Better to have a van for more extended use and tow a small box trailer, alternatively tow a trailer and save a lot of money and stay in a guest house or hotel.
      Incidentally, I have done conversions,
