Every time I see some video on Jeeps it always impresses me where we’ve come in 45 years, I my experience, I started with a 55 Willy’s hard top to a 1976 CJ-7 now you see rigs like this it’s amazing.
Jeep is finally blessing us with a diesel option for the Wrangler within the next few model years, will be a game changer in an already booming Wrangler market. Better mileage, range , torque, and a whole new slew of options For a diesel powered Wrangler that will surely follow! Thankyou GM for the baby duramax in the Colorado zr2 to confirm an already succeding little diesel in foreign wranglers. No brainer option! 👍
That is an amazing overland rig! I really got a kick out of watching your face and reactions Brad. I could see the wheels turning in your head for things to come to your JKU! Another great video from TrailRecon!!!
Oh man, there is so much to love about this rig and the potential to snag some ideas that could be transferred to my Jeep is something I'll be thinking about for a long time to come! Thank you!
What an awesome Jeep! Love it. Love how he was all like, nonchalant about it, how it’s a total work in progress. Yet it’s clearly very professionally done and highly polished. Loved it!
We were going to Overland expo this year but instead ended up going to Utah. It seems like it was an amazing turn out. Hopefully we can make it on 2019!
Thanks for the video! At SEMA the back wasn't done enough to show off so it was nice to see it now. Every year you showcase one super cool Jeep setup! Hopefully this years will come to fruition.
I don’t want to be a hater, as I think overall this is an impressive build and the dude displaying it seems very likeable, I just wouldn’t put the fridge in such close proximity to the cooktop, as it will spray it with oil and the smell of whatever you are preparing, and then when you are done you will have to wait for it to cool down before stowing it. But still, nice work, good video 👍
Hey Brad, love your videos. I’m a fellow CPO (retired) and just bought an 18 JL and am ready to get going on mods. Thanks for the great insight on all things Jeep.
Great vehicle and interview, Brad. All of the guys I have met at AEV are top notch and Dave sets that standard. I'm so glad that you got the opportunity to see for yourself why I am so devoted to the AEV brand. Brazo Zulu!
Awesome walk-thru! I just found this AEV Jeep on FB last week and reposted it on our site immediately - then you published this amazing vid this week! Great job and thanks for making all these videos - your content and editing is very well done - I know this takes work - and we all appreciate what you’re doing on this channel - keep going!
Thank you! I saw pictures of this from Jeep SEMA and was drooling back then, it was awesome to not only see it in person but to be able to speak with Dave directly about it. Great rig!
Great video. I was definitely impressed by this awesome Jeep. Wow kinda shocked at only 4.5” Lift. Those springs are stout. Cuz of all the steel armor and bumpers we weigh about 6000 lbs. awesome job showing off this killer build.
Incredible, I hope they bring this to market, but use the Gladiator as the starting point as a little extra room would be great and might allow for a wetbath
Definitely a great unit. I would get one today if they were available. I do think the tent portion could be upgraded to rigid aluminum insulated panels that could latch and lock into place similar to how the A Liner rv trailer is fabricated.
He should switch to the Truma Combi heating system. It's compact and will heat water and the interior as well. Also, he needs to add a way to put the sleeping loft in to justify the price. It would be awesome to bring the wife and kids or 2 guys on separate bunks that like to spread out when they sleep. Excellent build so far.
Awesome set-up. Looks like really nice craftsmanship. Interested in seeing where this goes. If jeep reintroduces the pick-up this would be a great bed replacement. Like the cab pass through. Screen door, this guy thought of everything. Couldn't bed just flip up when not needed from hinge side? Cummins crate engine swap?
Brad, I was there and it was my favorite rig as well... that engine!!! Total beast. BTW, I saw you a couple of times, but didn't get a chance to shake hands and say hi.
Nice. AEV OUPOST II JEEP. This will be seen a million times on video and the average Jeep fan aka wrangler CJ, TJ will own this if they win the lotto. This is like the Hummer HX or a Ford Rapture (can't remember correct name). This is a dream. Never to be seen by the common folk aka 'surfs'.
Love that Jeep - I wonder how this concept will be impacted by the release of the Jeep truck. I bet there will be some sweet overland conversions based on that vehicle!
I just saw this 4 years after it came out. It think this would be great on a Gladiator platform, it would allow for more passengers and probably a lot less fabricating to make it longer. I doubt I would be able to afford it even if it was built.
Insane build Dave has here. No detail left untouched. Also, you guys are around So Cal yeah? Currently building up my Westfalia converted XJ camper and would be great to get a good day wheeling in.
Hey Brad. Is there any way I can get the list of all you done on your project DJ overland build. I really love what you done and want to follow your steps in my own build. Thanks! Rock on!
Brad how can we find out more about that solar panel he has mounted to his roof? Looks like it's made by eNow? Can't seem to find anywhere that sells them.
If I had money, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this vehicle, just amazing cool. Reality is I can barely cover the bus fare, so... sucks to be poor. Oh well, maybe next life.
Saw this Jeep at the Expo and also met Brad. Best vehicle there easily. Brad was super nice, just like on camera. Thumbs Up!
Thank you sir!
Whoooaaa Nellie. ... . Blows my mind how talented some people are. This Jeep is definitely the finest one I have seen
Every time I see some video on Jeeps it always impresses me where we’ve come in 45 years, I my experience, I started with a 55 Willy’s hard top to a 1976 CJ-7 now you see rigs like this it’s amazing.

Can't say thank you enough for get some great footage of this rig. Absolute dream build for sure!
Thank you! It is truly a dream build!
Love it. I have a Jeep Wrangler rooftop tent now and this AEV Outpost would reduce setup time and increase overall comfort. I want it.
The comfort level would got to a whole new level with this awesome rig!
You got Dave with you! A video with two awesome jeep guys! grate video!
Thank you!
Really cool idea with lots of potential. Can't wait to see a more finished product!
Ive always wondered how an ambulance jeep would look like butt this gave me a really good idea 👌🏼
What an awesome Jeep! Love it. Love how he was all like, nonchalant about it, how it’s a total work in progress. Yet it’s clearly very professionally done and highly polished. Loved it!
Dave was such a humble gentleman! AEV does amazing work for sure!
if i had a company like AEV I would be nonchalant as well
Aev is top notch 👍🏼 killer craftsmanship love the inside/outside fridge and cabinets
AEV Makes quality builds.
Totally agree!
We were going to Overland expo this year but instead ended up going to Utah. It seems like it was an amazing turn out. Hopefully we can make it on 2019!
Solar power 👍
Exploring The Outdoors I have a lot of AEV products on my jk and this is really cool. I would totally love this thing
Thank you so much for making this video. I have been dying to see the inside of this vehicle since SEMA. Your video quality is awesome!
You and me both! So cool to finally see the inside, can't wait to see the changes! Thank you!
Very awesome, I love overlanding builds like this. Always detailed, and always built clean! Keep up the good work Brad!
AEV is great about giving attention to the details... no exception here! Thanks!
Totally amazing ! The perfect vehicule to travel full time and go off road.
Thanks for the video! At SEMA the back wasn't done enough to show off so it was nice to see it now. Every year you showcase one super cool Jeep setup! Hopefully this years will come to fruition.
I have been excited for this Jeep ever since it was debuted at SEMA. Can't wait to see what to see what the future holds!
I'm crazy thinking about this camper rig. It just looks right. Going to watch this again.
I like what they are planning for the bed! At Sema last year we only got to see the outside! I want one!
I love the way his mind works and all the future ideas he still has for this concept!
Forget saving up for a house, I'd be happy living in one of those till the end of time. Thanks for the overview!
Hey Brad, love your videos. I’m a fellow CPO (retired) and just bought an 18 JL and am ready to get going on mods. Thanks for the great insight on all things Jeep.
Thanks for your service!!!

Holy moly...that rig is awesome!!!! Thanks a lot for sharing that Brad. Would love to have something like that for overlanding!
It's very, very awesome in person! I think this is a dream overland vehicle for sure!
Awesome. Simply awesome. Great work and loving the outdoors. Keep the videos coming Brad. Thanks very much appreciated.
Just realized how many of our hobbies boil down to creating new places to drink beer.
Tail gate table, wheel table, flat fenders. All places to set a beer
That’s just badass... simply badass!! Brilliant
My favorite concept I've seen.
Couldn't agree with you more!
Love to see where this Project will go.
Cheers from Sweden
I'm excited to see the changes he wants to make!
That thing is AWESOME!!!!
Super Rad Rig!!! That is what I am looking at, A compact Beast!!!!
You said it.... a compact beast! I'd love to take this thing out on the trail for a test run!
Ready, willing, and able for final build! 10+++!!!
Great video. I was definitely impressed by this awesome Jeep. Wow kinda shocked at only 4.5” Lift. Those springs are stout. Cuz of all the steel armor and bumpers we weigh about 6000 lbs. awesome job showing off this killer build.
It would be cool to take it for a test drive and see how she handles with the lift and springs.
TrailRecon that would be really cool. I would be interested to see how it feels on trails and off camber spots. It is a great build.
Now this type of cars really Awesome can work on city and outside in desert
Incredible, I hope they bring this to market, but use the Gladiator as the starting point as a little extra room would be great and might allow for a wetbath
One of the best overland Vehicles 😍 i Love it !
Simply amazing
Unbelievable! Too damn awesome, I'm in for two of them whenever available.
I agree, that is one awesome setup. Nice video, thanks for sharing.

Thank you brother!
Love the look of the KM3's
Add like to see this same thing on a JL 4 door truck when they come out. Would be a great family overland camping rig.
Ian Gilbert
With sleeping area in pop up section over cab like most campers....
Super nice rig. Thanks for the video !
My favorite Jeep of the weekend...don't tell Marco! LOL
LOL! I love them both!
Brad, I was there and it was my favorite rig as well... that engine!!! Total beast. BTW, I saw you a couple of times, but didn't get a chance to shake hands and say hi.
Oh man, sorry we didn't get to connect. I was sooo busy all weekend. Love the Outpost II!

Great video. Cool Jeep
Love that Jeep - I wonder how this concept will be impacted by the release of the Jeep truck. I bet there will be some sweet overland conversions based on that vehicle!
I think we will see all kinds of cool thing when the JT hits the market... something like a habitat would be awesome.
BUILD THIS OVERLANDER!!!
I just saw this 4 years after it came out. It think this would be great on a Gladiator platform, it would allow for more passengers and probably a lot less fabricating to make it longer. I doubt I would be able to afford it even if it was built.
Looks great, a straight 6 diesel would have been the way id like to se this and ALL Jeeps be optioned with.
I would love to explore America with that
This would be epic for a cross country trip!
More good stuff by AEV!
Cool jeep,great video👍
Sooooo cool! Thank you!
Wanna see similar on new Jeep pickup, with sleeping area over cab....
Vehicle is awesome. 👏
those 37 KM3s /whistle! that rig is somethin diff :P
That thing was really awesome! Just wish it had some space for rear passengers while in motion.
Sit on the couch just like in an RV.
This is awesome!!!
These are dope as’f 💯💯💯💯
Insane build Dave has here. No detail left untouched. Also, you guys are around So Cal yeah? Currently building up my Westfalia converted XJ camper and would be great to get a good day wheeling in.
Very very Cool ........
I would love to see an update to the job……. How they finish it up?
Love this!
I'll take it..wife won't even know I'm gone.😁

Amazing build I just can’t ever understand why someone buys a rubi just to rip the axles out and go aftermarket.
I like this Much
Nice Jeep!
Would love to see a Gladiator modified like this....maybe, um....mine? LOL!
Looks like one of the Aussie UTEs.
Thanks for the video! I’ve been trying to see the inside since they previewed it at SEMA
I was so excite when I saw they had it opened up for the Overland Expo!
Hey Brad. Is there any way I can get the list of all you done on your project DJ overland build. I really love what you done and want to follow your steps in my own build. Thanks! Rock on!
AWSOME
Brad how can we find out more about that solar panel he has mounted to his roof? Looks like it's made by eNow? Can't seem to find anywhere that sells them.
Wonder if it’ll have backup cameras
AWESOME
How much was invested in all to build that beautiful monster?
If I had money, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this vehicle, just amazing cool. Reality is I can barely cover the bus fare, so... sucks to be poor. Oh well, maybe next life.
