  • Vision often operates on weak and ambiguous information, as exemplified by bistable illusions, where two clear percepts alternate stochastically. Here, Gori et al. show that concurrently listening to appropriate soundtracks disambiguates these illusions almost completely, while verbal instructions have little effect.
