Their keyboarder is way underrated when it comes to the musical contribution. i could listen to isolated rammstein keyboard tracks and not get bored.

This song is my favourite song on the new album. Too bad that the song is so very short. I would have expected that hypnotic "Komm mit!" line and section of the song to continue to eternity in a kind of hypnotic, ever repeating sound vortex.
I really hope, that they are making a longer version from it. Or at least a longer live version. That song is definitely too short.

Things changed a lot when Till realized it was ok for him to SING. Rammstein just keeps getting better, as impossible as that may seem.
Really love this song and it's become one of my favorites.
I was lucky enough to listen to the album during one of the pre-screenings in cinemas that were happening all over the world on the 28th of April, one day before the album came out. I was blown to pieces immediately, loved this song right off the bat.

Gloomy marching song . Phenomenal work by Rrrrrammstein and very good reaction from you both.
The live version is amazing. Rammstein opened their 2022 shows with it and it's an epic concert opener.
Till took this song from his poem book "100 Gedichte" where it's called "Armee der Traurigen", they changed it a bit for the album obviously. When we saw it in the cinema it was one of the fan's favorites and will be the opener to the tour, I am pretty sure. Thank you a lot for your reactions!
When this album was realesed, i exploded of happiness. I was i school and had normal swedish lessons and i only checks spotify for new music and sees this album and begins to listen to it, and it wa so satisfying.
I feel like this is actually the perfect Intro song, great choice for track 1.

Armee der tristan shakes me to my core, Till's Voice, the booming guitars and the epic synths near the end come together to make this rammstein's BEST song.

I think this is my favorite song off the new album honestly I absolutely love the sound of it with the chunky heavy guitar and the synth and Till’s voice yes does sound amazing.
And from what I’ve seen this is what they’re gonna be opening the shows with so I can’t fucking wait!

I'm a long time Rammstein lover and I swear Richard and Paul have never had this clear of chug in their tone before. I love it.

In my opinion THE best album lyrically as well as musically. Even if many lyrics are about farewell.
Here my opinion to the single songs:
The opening starts with "Armee der Tristen".
Very good opening, with musical, strong refrain. Lyrically it is very similar to "Rammlied". The lyrics call the listeners to join in, to become part of Rammstein's dark world. And form a strong collective.
Zeit
Well, the 1st singalong this album, but the 2nd song on the record. Although we have here again a slow and meek beginning, but this goes into an insanely epic-sounding and all-consuming chorus, which comes at first without music and makes an impression especially standing alone. In combination with the use of drums and electric guitar, "Zeit" hums its way into the ear and memory, rears up and provides emotional goosebump moments.
Schwarz
With "Schwarz" we have the third ballad in a row. A homage to the night and darkness. After the initial disappointment about this realization, however, the track gets better from listen to listen and convinces with its dreamy, nyctophilic lyrics and the velvety piano parts in the verses. And even if the song is not a typical Rammstein banger at first, "Schwarz" can still keep up with its predecessors.
Gifitg
Arguably one of my favorite songs on the record. And in the countermove of the 3 vohergängige songs, the tempo is neatly pulled up, what drums and guitar angelangen.
is a description of a toxic relationship in music. The tactfully hissing synths sound like rattlesnakes, the booming guitars threatening. The chorus captivates with a vocal synth call-and-response.
All in all, the track exudes an Arabic-inspired vibe that reminds me of Richard Kruspe's solo project Emigrate on the one hand, but also of the track "Destroy" from the 2005 record "Rosenrot" due to the back vocals at the beginning.
Zick Zack
The 2nd single of the longplayer. With an ingenious promo action. This song deals with the non-acceptance of getting older and the need for surgical help to keep up with the ideal of beauty in society.
"OK"
Well, in the 1st moment, one thanks OK= Alles in Ordnung.....NEIN, it would not be Till Lindemann if he comes on a completely different interpretation. It's called WITHOUT CONDOM.....
The beginning comes with a female choir where "ohne Kondom" warbles, then comes a few keys from the synthesizer (Flake, has on this record, in all songs, a hear value as well as already, so you can not call Rammstein as a rock band, there are just too many electronic elements added).
After that the tempo is tightened up as usual. Lyrically it is propagated that the sexual intercourse is really REAL only without condom with different sex partners. However, very humorous brought over there it says:
Many holes are to be plugged No mind, but a lot of sense Is rewarded with constant dripping One is stuck, not stuck in it
Meine Tränen
Probably one of my favorite songs. WHAT AN OPPRESSIVE SONG. Reminds very much of the song "Puppe" from the last album. Especially at the beginning of the 1st sounds of the guitar but also lyrically.
In this song, is about a toxic relationship between mother and adult son. The mother lets out the hate (beatings) and contempt on her son, because her relationship with the father went to breaks. The son tries to take on the father/husband role but without success.
Unfortunately, the son does not dare to defend himself and even to counter violence, he lets the blows patter on him.
The mother always has the man image in front of her eyes, that a man does not cry and does not show any emotion. But as the son starts to cry, she has only pure contempt left and declares him a weakling.
The lyrics state:
A man cries only when his mother dies, Death is strong the heart is weak, When the own flesh and blood corrupt, the wiser yields.
Angst
The 3rd single release. (What a music video, worth watching.) Here social fears are described in all forms. As a child: Is threatened with the "boogeyman / black man" and as an adult before xenophobia and politicians who, this fear specifically steer to bind the masses behind him.
Dicke Titten
Well, the name says it all.....The lyrics are so funny that you quickly feel ashamed of someone else.....One wonders how Lindemann came up with such a text....when the title songs were leaked I couldn't believe it with that song title.
The song begins "unrammtypically" with a brass band ala Oktoberfest, but after about 20 seconds the "Friede-Freude-Eierkuchen-mood" with hard guitar sounds and snare drums dies down. Vocally, I find that Till Lindemann (in contrast to the other songs.) sings very deeply. Screen of the Refaire with an awesome head voice. (You can see the singing talent of Mr. Lindemann.)
The text deals with a man who has been single for years and lives a very monotonous and dull life. But he, too, longs so much for a woman that he has no idea of the woman, be it her character or her looks. YOU ONLY HAVE TO HAVE ONE THING: Have a decent bust size.
Lügen.
The 2nd last song on the record with a special "twist".
It starts to sound very calm to me until the middle of the song. Here an ideal world is celebrated, from walking barefoot in the meadows, enjoying life with your life partner, that you NEVER curse, that you are always faithful, you live healthy (always cook without fat ^^) and deal with life lyrically and writes poems (does Till mean himself?)
and of course always visit his grandma on Sundays....AND THEN? In the middle of the songs, it ends with an abrupt end to the ideal world with drums and electric guitar. And sings:
LÜGEN, alles Lügen. Ich lüge und betrüge, ich belüge sogar mich, keiner glaubt mir, niemand traut mir, nichtmal ich!!!!! (LIES, all lies. I lie and cheat, I even lie to myself, nobody believes me, nobody trusts me, not even me!!!!!)
A person is described who notoriously lies and then believes no one, but this person desperately tries to refute this.
Adieu:
The last song on the record (and by this band?) A very sad, thoughtful song about impermanence and death. It starts off with a decent guitar riff but then flattens out into calmer waters very quickly.
Here it says u.a.: Doch keine Angst, wir sind bei dir, ein letztes Mal so singen wir: Adieu, Goodbey, auf Wiedersehn, den Letzen Weg muss Du alleine Gehen. Ein letzter Kuss. Kein Wunder wird geschen. Adieu, Goodbey auf Wiedersehn die Zeit mit Dir war schön.
Means: But don't worry, we're with you, one last time we'll sing like this: Adieu, Goodbye, goodbye, you have to go the last way alone. One last kiss. No miracle will be given. Adieu, goodbye, goodbye, it was nice to be with you.
I could well imagine this song on the live tour for the ending song.
So I could well imagine that it is the last record of the Berliners, since the fact that the upcoming tour is imminent and usually lasts 2 years and the 6 Berliners are all in their 60s......
Only time will tell if it's really time to go. Both options are legitimate. Also insist on a complete end of this band after more than 25 years of band.....hope not
Oli is now only 51, so not all are in their 60s. Till is now 59, Paul is 57, Christoph just turned 56, Flake turns 56 in Nov. and Richard turns 55 in June. So, how many will be 60 then? But I think that will it be, because Till mentioned once in an Interview, that he does not want to be on stage by the age of 68. As a shy guy like he is, he deserves to get a rest from all this. He gave us a lot of his precious time, don't you think? He and the rest of the band, gave us many great times. It hurts a bit, for all when you are with them since 1997, but they deserve something else and new, so long they have the power and energy for it and Richard and Till still have their side projects.

If the tour is indeed 2 years as you say, it will end on the 30th anniversary of the band, and if they decided to call it a day at that point, they would end on a high and would have had an amazing career. I still think they have a few more years in them, but we should respect their decision whatever it might be.
i don't think this is their last record, absolutely not. this album was not planned in any way, it was written way too spontaneously in a short period of time because of the plandemic shitshow. also, they got a lot of songs about farewell and goodbye's, so the overall album theme or especially the last song 'adieu' is definitely not a clear sign for being it their last record or for hanging it up after the current touring cycle. as far as i estimate their own claim, they gonna spend a lot more time and effort in writing their last record...
i guess they'll do it the slayer way - announcing the end of their career at the same time a world tour is announced and then deconstruct every huge stadium around the world one last time.
i definitely think they will let their fans know if the next show will be the last chance to see them live... this will make for a total different concert experience - for both the fans and the band.

The sounds from Flake reminds me of 70´s and 80´s horror movie sounds. Almost in the style of John Carpenter. That is why I love this song!

Richard Z will always be my favorite musician, has been since 1998. No on comes close to his heaviness.
I think this and Deutschland are just as good as all their other opening songs. Like, all their albums have such fierce first impressions.
I read the English translation of this and it's about mental health awareness. A lot of other bands are writing, singing or speaking on this subject now. There was Black Dog On My Shoulder by the Manic Street Preachers on their This Is My Truth, Tell Me Yours album released in 1998. Tom Chaplin of Keane has spoken about his demons on the Under The Iron Sea tour. That album was all about his temporary drink and drug addiction and what caused it.

I saw till and co on june 2022 in cardiff (a 3.5 hour drive) and they used armee der tristen as the opener. building instrument by instrument as the band came on. so good.
i wont get to see them this year as no UK stop. Vilnius was already sold out by the time I had figured out i couldnt REALLY afford to go, with no passport and literally no knowledge of how it works post brexit (ie visas, permits, insurance etc)

In most of his songs Till (he writes the lyrics for Rammstein and for his solo project) mocks human vices, oddities and perversions. Before that I had never come under his ridicule. Because I'm not a maniac, I'm not a cannibal, I'm not a masochist, I'm not a pedophile, I'm not a nymphomaniac, I don't do incest, and I don't even have tattoos. But with this song Till finally got me.
