In general, the fact that the current S58 and B58 can hold their massive boost w/o grenading is indeed a testament to the strength of these Bimmer blocks. So much funs! Of course, excellent tooners like CES is also neccessary 👍
They have a main cap girdle, larger rod bearing surface area, and a closed deck block. Recipe for power 💪
S58 with xdrive is just insane. Have a daw 2.5 in the xdrive 540 and it can get white knuckle sometime. G8x making 700 easily on stock snails good lordy what a time to be alive.

@M4_Pat I already have one. I ordered it back in September. I was referring to looking forward to building it with CES. I have a 21 Porsche (992) 911 Carrera 4S and was considering building it however, after talking with my dealership, they were not tunner warranty friendly and warned a new engine in a worst case senerio would be 70k+ and installation cost. Absolutely ridiculous. I needed another platform that would make more sense.

What did it make on pump 93? Would love to know if it touched 700whp with the hybrids installed.
It was just over 600whp, that was conservative though. Def more room
Wondering the same because that is basically 100 whp over the S55 it almost or barely touches 600 whp with upgraded turbos

@@Melvin-01 I love the Hp/$ you get on the gen 1 also. Some guys will buy the M cars just to say they are in the club. But you can get the same performance for half the cost in a m240i with some bolt ons.

@@deadhouseplants64 sold my unreliable 2016 f80 s55 and bought a 2017 340i and then got a 2022 m240i. both of non m’s are just as equipped and faster in a straight line. my 340i has 650hp vargas gc+ for 3 years with no issues.
it’s always the guys who are really broke that think a bmw m makes them special. buy a 911 turbo and you might have my attention.

When do you think the g80s will be worth it price range?
Depends on what you consider worth it. Personally I am not comfortable spending $70k plus on a g80 right now. $60k range definitely has me looking. I think awd is highly necessary and those are the pricey ones

BMW has by far the most unreliable AWD system ever..... If you have never owned an AWD BMW I would never recommend it unless you're a mechanic
