Hey I am enjoy the video I’m 76 years old just bought a 2022 Chevrolet with a cat back Dual exhaust I like the sound of it you’re right on the money you can hear it when you’re cruising on the highway it’s got a nice mellow sound joy the video brings me back to the days when I was in my teens and had a GTO take care
Thanks for taking the time to make a video on this. MBRP has the stainless cat back kit on sale for $775 right now so I've been considering it. My biggest fear is I use my truck mostly for towing our RV fish house so if it's pretty loud while accelerating then I don't think I'll be happy. Do you use your truck for towing? If so what are your thoughts on the cab noise while towing? Thanks
If your are going to tow long distances I would not recommend this exhaust. Or any exhaust for that matter as I fear it would become annoying on long drives. Hope that helps. Side note wish I would have sprung for the stainless. I’m already starting to seeing signs of wear and haven’t even been through it’s first winter.
@@mystuffedgarage9907 Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah unfortunately I think I'll have to stick with the stock because of the towing. As much as I'd love a deeper tone I don't think it's worth a loud cab. I haven't been able to find anybody that has changed the exhaust and made a video while towing.
@@mystuffedgarage9907 thank you for answering!!!!!! I love your name by the way hahaha..99% of peoples garages...when you say until I get into tuning? You mean liken getting cold air intake, turbo, etc?
So you used MBRP Exhaust Store to order? I was looking at that website for my exhaust but was curious since the prices are so discounted. I read some bad reviews about them so I haven't pulled the trigger yet on ordering.
I mean I guess I understand you get what you pay for the stainless sets are kind of hard to find nowadays and I had one of these dual set ups on my 2011 Silverado when I bought the truck and head on it and I ran out for a year or two and the truck was already five or six years old when I got it and it never had any issues I know others have said the baffles could be rattling out I guess it really depends on how you Drive away drive I mean I’m in the East Coast so I think even if you had stainless it’s all gonna rust eventually this cat might just rush through and write faster but you know if you get it for five years out of it I don’t think that’s not bad for a $400 kit

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I love reading comments like this. Keeps me wanting to share more content.
@@mystuffedgarage9907 Keep up the good work as long as you can
So the stock exhaust is removeable without cutting. haha Something that everyone swore was impossible without a lift. Thanks for showing how!
It definitely wasn’t without some persuasion but 100% removable without having to cut it for sure!
@@mystuffedgarage9907 that's why hammers and pry bars come in different sizes 🤣 looking forward to getting mine now
Just finished my install, your video was so helpful. Still a lot of pain but guaranteed much less due to your video.
I’m glad my pain made your pain a little less. Having someone to help really does make a difference. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
Jack stands would have been a big help to hold up the exhaust.
Totally agreed only if I had extra to spare as the larger ones I have were holding the truck! Lol

I’ll hook the trailer up and make a short video in a few days.
@@mystuffedgarage9907 You really don't need to do that unless you want to. Thanks again
How close is the stainless tip from the bottom of your bumper? No issues with it heating up the plastic or paint?
It’s almost 3” away no issues with temperature
Cool... is it not as loud without a tip on it?...
I tried without the tip as well and I couldn’t tell a difference.
Is there any drone inside the cab
Anyone have any experience in how long they last? I like the black version. Does it help the performance any of the truck?
I’ve had mine for two years and still going strong. Performance wise it’s not that much of an improvement until you get into tuning.

Does it drone ?

I had zero issues! Shipping was fast everything was complete. I’d buy direct again.
@@mystuffedgarage9907 Thank you for that info! Makes me feel better about finally ordering it.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing the struggle with us
I'm buying that same exhaust for my truck.. headers too lol... for better gas mileage of course 😂👍
It sounds exactly like my 6.0
