- In Disney+’s “Lady and the Tramp,” life is good for Lady, an overachieving American Cocker Spaniel who resides in an upscale suburban neighborhood. Her owners, Jim Dear and Darling, spoil her daily and her neighbors, Jock, an outspoken Scottish Terrier and Trusty, a world-weary Bloodhound, are always within barking distance. But when a baby enters the picture, Lady is no longer the center of attention, and the arrival of cat-loving Aunt Sarah only complicates matters. Lady soon finds herself alone on the streets in an unwelcoming part of town.
Fortunately, Tramp steps in, and the streetwise mongrel is quick to teach her the ways of the world. Before long, the prim and proper purebred and the fast-talking mutt are partaking in moonlight strolls in the park and romantic spaghetti dinners by candlelight. Tramp savors the independence of a world without leashes or fences alongside his roguish friends Peg and Bull, but Lady misses the comfort and safety of a family, and soon both must decide where - and with whom - they belong.
A heartwarming romantic adventure that seamlessly combines live action and photorealistic animation, “Lady and the Tramp” stars Tessa Thompson as the voice of Lady, Justin Theroux as the voice of Tramp, Kiersey Clemons as Darling, Thomas Mann as Jim Dear, Janelle Monáe as the voice of Peg, Yvette Nicole Brown as Aunt Sarah, and Sam Elliott as the voice of Trusty.
The film is directed by Charlie Bean from a screenplay by Andrew Bujalski and Kari Granlund, and is produced by Brigham Taylor. “Lady and the Tramp” is available to stream on Disney + on Nov. 12.

I felt that way after watching the animated scene
I feel that way all the time when I take my daily walk at the beach. You see a lot of dogs with their owners there and I have a lot of fun patting them.

Jake Rutigliano Darling was a perfect choice. No she doesn't *look* like the original, but she's a strong woman, she's compassionate, she's beautiful and she has a lovely singing voice.
OcraStars And she would be if this movie took after the 60s, when interracial marriages were acceptable. If this happened in real life, Jim Dear and Darling would have been treated like pariahs, or worse, lynched.

I always found this scene and this gesture so unbelievably romantic. The sweetness of giving Darling the puppy in a gift box just attests how much Jim loves her.

As much as Insisnt care for this movie, ill admit that the actors for Jom Dear and Darling play their roles well and make the two so stinking adorable i could eat them both up.

Very adorable puppy!
The movie was alright, this puppy scene was pure adorableness, and although I do not truly care, it kinda is a bit annoying as far as historical accuracy goes, back in the time this is set, no way Jim Dear could marry a lady of color without being cast out, losing his house, disowned by his family, and possibly beaten to death. Not being racist as I know some eejits would accuse me of so, but it's historical accuracy, just cause racism is wrong doesn't mean you should erase entire historical accuracy in media just for PC reasons.
But then again, the movie is not about the Edwardian Era, It's a bout cute doggos haha

Well, of course, that depends on where you lived in the United States during that time. Jim Dear could definitely marry a color'd woman if he lived in the Northern US (& also the Midwest & Western states, too, I think). No segregation or racism to keep them apart there! ^_^

The OG is set in Connecticut, actually; not too far from the setting of The Owl House, in fact. Jim Dear would have had no segregation laws to deal with.

Never, but its a Disney plus original
@@horrormovie100 Well, who's to say never, really? There's no reason Disney couldn't put it out on DVD / Blu-Ray at some point in the future, if they haven't done so already.
And if you don't wanna wait for that, then fear not! There are ways to burn movies & stuff from streaming services onto blank DVDs, so you can always do that. :-)
