- We’ve returned to play GTA IV multiplayer in 2023 and it’s being destroyed by a modder who is crashing other players consoles during free mode sessions. After I received reports about this modder crashing players consoles I decided to investigate the problem by joining a GTA IV online session. It turns out this modder is no joke.

The issue partially is that these games get dropped and forgotten by devs. I understand why but at the same time it's shame to think that some games just never recover & get shut down. There needs to be preservation of classic games, a vault for online servers or a gaming heritage trust. It might sound extreme but it's such a shame.

Let me give you a insight to how this works, there are a few modders who play this game still but some abuse mods and ruins the games for others, people are just sad for this, but with mods you can spoof your account to anyones gamertag so the alt accounts are unlimited basically, there are alot of friendly modders still but some like to abuse them, just know there is the good modders that try to remove them from the game before they ruin the lobby for everyone 😊
And there is a developer who when is actively on the game he can crash any abuser who ruins the game and will put him on something called a blacklist where the abuser will automatically get crashed whenever they join the game so there is a fight behind the scenes but the game is very quiet nowadays only on weekends its active and there's mods that tells you how many players are on at 1 given time 😁
Instead of enjoying the game with people that live the nostalgia, a nerd with coding skills ruins it.
Sadly some people don't have anything better to do with their time.
things is alot of the modders arent even coders, they're just ppl who bought a modded xbox 360 and downloaded someone elses mod menu to use.
Yeah he’s a loser honestly I’d still play this game online everyday if this wasn’t the situation
It may not even be a coder, but a script kiddie who just stole or bought some cheat software online without knowing anything of coding. GTA Online cheaters are usually the same breed.
GTA 4 has been having issues with modders since the day online was released. It’s not a surprise for an old generation game. If you wanna have fun it’s best to just stick to private lobbies with the homies if you don’t want your game to crash.
I only use my mod menus for fun I mostly spawn cars for people and just drive or rp

Yeah this is still happening to this day happened last time I played free mode I was playing for about 20 mins then it crashed
My xbox 360 got fucked up after a Modder one time on gta 5. Not sure what happened but I couldn't play right on the console after that it was twitchy and random when it did what you pressed

Free mode has always been a gamble when it comes to modders... I’m in telegram and discord chats of players who host private games of tdm, turf war, cops n crooks, team mafiya... free modes with randoms is fun if theres no modders crashing it. Atleast on the new xbox series consoles you can relaunch the game in 1 minute
Modders can be hit or miss and the ones that I have previously interacted with have seemed to be cool on GTA 4 multiplayer. However for a modder to be crashing peoples systems is just sad and I understand it's easy to boot up another game, but it's the huge inconvenience it causes to the player such as having to get the weapons or vehicles they wanted since this isn't GTA Online. i have been live streaming some of the ps3 games we've been having, also planning to stream some xbox games too

It's definitely worth still playing and seeing if this issue is still about. Other than this modder crashing peoples systems, when I have played GTA 4 multiplayer recently I have had such a fun time.
Wow that hacker who crashes your gsme while playing online is crazy so I just got gta 4 for the xbox series x note that I played it when it came out on the ps3 and even on there modders where there too but they where mostly chill now on the xbox series x I sometimes had my game freeze and play a repetitive sound and thought my gsme just bugged out but now that I know its a modder that's crazy haha!
Perhaps somebody could give GTA 4 the FiveM treatment
The sad thing is he can do this forever if he wanted to, he’s using RGH hacks so it doesn’t matter how much he gets banned. it takes 5 mins to make a alt account and get a kv to unban the console. I think this is a paid menu/remote tool on PC tho since it has a ghost mode. such a shame tho I absolutely love gta 4 online, hopefully by now after a month he’s probably moved on to destroying something else bc honestly doing shit like this is just such a waste of time, keeping a RGH online is also such a waste of money especially doing this. I used to mod and I still have my RGH but I’d never use it like this I just wanna have fun with others and gta 4 has so much party mods u can actually have a lot of fun with
It actually depends on the modders ,some helped me reach level 50 in 5 minutes lol
Yep some modders are super chill and nice. Before making this video I had uploaded another video of me playing GTA IV multiplayer for the first time in many years and there was modders being cool by spawning in vehicles for the entire Free Mode Session.

@@BaileyPoints we starting up again as of today with some new stuff, so if you see anyone that has “GP” in the beginning of their gamertag, just know you’re in a good lobby and well do our best to stop any crashers that join.
i try to go online on my xbox but nobodys on
It depends on what day and time you hop on. Just keep searching for games at different times and you will eventually find a lobby.

@@ClapzBoyy for the best lobbies put cops on, auto aim on, and friendly fire on aswell you will get lobbies also works with free aim too
Tbh I know the guy He’s JMT x Viper he loves to be an ass there was some beef between modders and he decided to drop lobby’s after but he’s chilled down but yea there are Better mods coming out for gta 4 like example IVMenu or IVEngine is coming out later this year or the beginning of next year for Xbox
