Honestly there's just one more tip I would add here: Never give up, and dont let frustration take control. It doesnt matter how many times in a row you lose, or what your experience level in the genre is, or whatever: Tell yourself that you CAN and WILL learn this and become skilled at it. I've played a lot of fighting games over the years, and I got good at them... like, REALLY good. But I only managed to do that by never giving up no matter what, and not allowing myself to get into that ragequit state. After all, if you get overly agitated with a loss, how can you learn anything from it? And overall, I've always felt that you learn more from a loss than from a win (though your mileage may vary). All of this stuff applies to any competitive game, not just this one. Anyway, great video here. You've explained it in such a way that even people new to the genre overall should be able to get something out of it, and that's not easy. Well done.
Love the vid! The only difficult part about learning from your mistakes, is the connection issue. I'll rewatch gameplay & 50%+ of the time, it's the lag that doesn't allow hits to register properly
suuuuper useful. this is the first competitive game in general that i'm bothering to play (usually play single player RPGs) and losing is disheartening of course, but i know that the key to improvement is sucking and analyzing and adapting over and over again until eventually you no longer suck. multiversus is my test: if i eventually get good at the game, i know i have patience to be proud of. anyway, thanks for the guide its nice not flailing around like a fish wondering why i'm not seeing my results changing
I really got into the Game last night when I put like 5 hours straight into it with a friend. Since I'm a super noob in Brawlers like that I just started playing with Wonder Woman. In 2v2 she seems to be a great Damage Dealing Support kinda Character for my Homies Superman, just in 1v1 I constantly get battered with her. Is there an easy to get into Character that's good for 1v1? I thought about maybe getting Batman, in quite a few lists I've seen he supposedly is pretty good.
In my opinion don’t use bugs bunny when you just started cause that was my mistake I Thought he was gonna make me better but I realized I needed skill. For 1v1s and easy wins use batman/Jake they are very good and they are bruisers I recommend getting those 2 characters
@@LC356 I tried Superman, but didn't really feel comfortable with him for some reason. Maybe I need to give him another shot. Definitely gonna try the other as well, thanks 🤙🏼
I also started with wonder woman and Superman, but for some reason they just didn't click for me in 1v1's. Then i tried Garnet and i won like 10 1v1's in a row and she is now my main.
Those are all good picks. I would recommend trying out Tom and Jerry or Bugs to understand the Mage class better as they are the most dominant right now.

Superman/Batman/Shaggy/Jake are all good introduction characters for 1v1

I’ve recently been using superman, Wonder Woman and Finn in games but would there be a character you recommend to start using more?

@@LC356 Thank you!
thx but why we should watch us victory?
Tip #1 Wait till Finn gets nerfed.
Finn isn’t that bad lol
@@lxr1dr he absolutely is, the devs even admitted it
@@delimeatart1723 I made that comment when I was a noob and just starting. Finn is/was def broken before the patch I agree 😂
I recommend putting movement on dpad and i put my emotes on random empty spots like L2 and L3
You are absolutely tweaking if you put movement on the dpad lol
im thinking im going to call ki di instead
However....Genuinely bad players "and here's my spot" i wanna be better buttttt i play mindlessly 😂😂
Understandable

Why give tips for a doomed Smash Brothers clone with a shitty roster? This game is a complete waste of time.
