Oh my gosh. I''ve been going to disney world since the 25th anniversary when I was four, did the DCP in 2013. It took me so so long to work up the courage to riding it. Once I did, I hid my face from the vultures for YEARS. I have soo many memories with this ride. It was always my favorite place to see the fireworks. I'm sad to see it go but very excited for what's to come.
I remember waiting for it to open on 92! First rode it in February 93, I was 11! Me and my siblings and I lived for this ride when it came out! Such good memories. Thanks for sharing the last day, I am actually tearing up 😭😭😭
My favorite moment of splash mountain was when I was in the park for mickeys not so scary Halloween party & was on the ride at the end of the night. As I was going over the top to the final drop, the fireworks were going off. It was a magical moment tbh. I'll miss splash.
Gona miss that ride mate. Its been a big part of our life. Was my dad's all time favourite. He passed away before we got to go back last year. We used to call it Spla Mo because that's how the oldest daughter pronounced it 15 years ago. Going to miss it. Glad we follow you as we feel like we was there with you. Thank you JoJo. "The Princess and the Frog" is set in Louisiana - New Orleans and a nearby bayou. There are no mountains, hills or even waterfalls in Louisiana. How is replacing Splash Mountain with Tiana's Bayou, while keeping the log flume setup a good thing? Because it smacks of bad theming to me. Why couldn't Disney Parks simply create a brand new attraction featuring Tiana?
My first ever full ride of splash was literally the final day of operation and I went on during fireworks, all the other times I rode it, it broke down and I got evaced so it was pretty magical
Oh my gosh Jojo I love your videos! Just subscribed. I don't know why I am just learning you are roommates with Kyle but I love your friendship! Excited to see and discover more from you. You are such an amazing person! Keep up the good work!
One time it was really cold outside during extra hours, my mom and my brother where to cold, but me and my dad wanted to ride it. Whenever we went on it the firework show started playing and we had the perfect view
My parents dragged me onto Splash when I was a kid to "help me get over my fear of rides." That backfired...I was so terrified during the last drop (especially the negative-G belly feeling) that even as an adult, log flumes scare me more than intense coasters. Took me years to build up enough courage to go on Jurassic Park River Adventure as an adult with my partner. Another great video JoJo!
So glad you got to ride splash mountain one last time at magic kingdom. My family and I would go on splash mountain every year when we went to Disneyland ca. I will miss it but excited for the retheming. I will be going to Disneyland beginning of March so I’m excited to ride splash mountain before it closes. I know there isn’t a date at Disneyland yet but still could be the last time for me. I got emotional watching the video and I have a feeling I’ll get emotional when riding splash mountain at Disneyland
As I commented on your last video, on-site guests do not get LL any earlier than offsite, both can book at 7am. Onsite only advantage is individual lightning lanes (I.e guardians, SDMT etc) that can be purchased at 7am for onsite and park opening for everyone else
Two of my favs Ariel and splash mountain and I rode in 2019 with my friend on a late bday trip and with my sis a long time ago and I think I meet the characters when I was little around the ride
When I went to Disney World back in February 2022 and I rode splash mountain 3 times in one day without lightning lane. It was an amazing experience. I rode it once during the day and twice during the last hour before Magic Kingdom closed for the night.
Hey Jojo! I just wanna say that recently ive been feeling really emotional after the loss of one of our favorite disney classics. Sure I only went on it only twice but I had an amazing time on it. But now everytime I go to magic kingdom, my day always feels incomplete without the white water splash at the mountain. I watch this video almost everyday to just remind myself "This happened and thats what matters." But im still feeling emotional after this loss and I just wanna share my feelings with this ride. Tianas does look like its gonna be a pretty good ride (but I bet it will turn out to be hot garbage) but it will never beat such a classic attraction. I understand why people get offended from its source material, but splash mountain always felt like a different world with original characters. People from this new generation will like tianas, but never experience a ride like this. Have a Zippidy-do-da-day!
jojo you wrked at diney and continue to spread the magic of disnry brcause you like a lot of these creators abd general cms wanted to help sptrsd the magic to those of who don't get lucly enough to be there , so wheneber you mess up or get upsey about nissing something. think abou where you are and h the magic ypu're creating. it's very much needed and appreciated. thank you so much. rides will happen again but people like you won't
Cast members have been making magic a lot lately it feels. I booked a room for a couple of nights last week for me and my kids at All Star Music then we got called and upgraded to a moderate resort. Then while there Cast Members created multiple magic moments for us I had had some disheartening experiences with Disney since COVID after being pass holders for over a decade and last week really felt like we were at Disney again ❤️ also the removal of parking fees at the resort was nice lol especially since we live in Tampa so if we stay we just drive over.
As an autistic individual from Canada, I have been on both Splash mountains in Disneyland and Disney World. The first time I went on Splash mountain was at Disneyland in CA when I was about 6 years old in 98/99. I remember the most was zip de do dah theme song at the end of the ride. The year after I moved to Ontario, Canada from Vancouver, Canada, My first Disney World trip in march 2009. My younger brother and I were on the ride for the first time since our second Disneyland trip in 2004. As I recall the logs were a lot narrower at Disneyland vs Disneyworld's version. As my brother and I were about to get off the ride right at the end of the ride. Before the lap bars were put in, Our group in our logs got out right before the exit gate. As we got onto the platform, I was like to the Cast member. " are we in trouble?" The Cast member did not say anything since the ride broke down. I remember being very embarrassed of my myself after that. I went back again for my last ride in December of 2022 for my 30 birthday which I just turned 30 on Dec 4 2022. As I got off the ride, I feel at oh wow after all those years, what an amazing ride but at the same time. It's good that it's getting a good update for Tiana. I'll definitely will be missing this ride for sure. Thank you for uploading this.
DUDE I remember one time during the Christmas party at magic kingdom, me and my brother went on splash mountain, and there were two British girls in the row behind us who had never been on the ride. Me and my brother thought it would be funny to make them think the big drop was coming up, even though it wasn’t. We all had great time on it. 😊
“The new concept is inclusive - one that all of our guests can connect with and be inspired by, and it speaks to the diversity of the millions of people who visit our parks each year.” ~Disney When Disneyland unveiled Splash Mountain in 1989, it sparked renewed controversy over "Song of the South," the movie that had inspired the ride. The 1946 live-action film follows the story of a 7-year-old boy named Johnny, who visits his grandmother's plantation in Georgia after the abolition of slavery. Bobby befriends an ex-slave living on the plantation named Uncle Remus, played by James Baskett, who spins moralistic tales about the adventures of Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox, and Br'er Bear. "Song of the South" garnered some accolades after its premiere, winning an Oscar for the song "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" and an honorary award for Baskett's performance. (Baskett was not allowed to attend the film's premiere in Atlanta, which was then a segregated city.) But the movie also received heated backlash for its romantic portrayal of the Old South - and of the racial hierarchy that existed in pre-abolition America. Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., a congressman from Harlem, decried the film as an "insult to American minorities [and] everything that America as a whole stands for’’.
Jojo, so glad you got to go on Splash Mountain 🏔️ one more time forever! I'm sure it will be missed! Tiana attraction sounds fun too! I bet it will look very cool! 🥰💖😎☺️ Have fun at your staycation! 💖
Fun Fact ! 🤩 Disney will still have some of Splash Mountain's magic in Tiana's Bayou Adventure... Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah (song of the south) is not dead yet !😉 The course also remains unchanged... The ride reopens in 2024 with a welcome parade to the newly themed ride.
my best splash mountain memory would probably be the time the ride broke down and me, my sister, my other, sister and her boyfriend (at the time, they are married now) were all there stuck in the air conditioning for about two hours just laughing the whole time.
NICK! Haha! You Superstar! You were Eric at the Christmas Party on 18th December and I stood chatting with you while we had a photos then I showed you and Ariel my Ariel tattoo on my right arm! Hahaha you were fantastic dude and I really appreciated it! Hope you see this message! Cheers dude. DNO
The one and only time I went on Slash Mountain was 2021 I was afraid of getting my phone wet so I threw it in my backpack and sat on the pack because of my weight I wound up cracking my phone screen and being unable to use my phone for the rest of my vacation... good times lol. It's all good now lol
@@Heavytripss no need to be rude, some people don’t adapt to change that easily. Especially when that ride was your favorite or was part of your childhood
I mean the ride system won’t change, the ride vehicles won’t go away, the mountain and layout will be the same, the only thing that’s changing is the fursuit on the animatronics and the song, you shouldn’t be sad, it’s for the best.
Hey JoJo, always happens to me when I want to get up - I'll sleep right through the alarm. Can't wait to see the swipe to Tokyo. I'm approaching Splash like I did Maelstrom - I miss it but Frozen is basically the same ride with new theming - so I get the best of both. BTW, great interaction with Ariel but you didn't try your joke about being "mer-made for each other" 😅
I’m sooo sad ab it and I’m going on Friday and seeing it close and my very old memory I had of me in splash was me going on it for teh first time in 2019

I hope they don't just "vault" everything to do with Splash Mountain just to please a small niche of people with a specific set of what i would perceive as irrational and hypersensitive views.
Me and my family arent really happy about splash mountain turning to that but atleast there not as much masking on the characters as last time, Because if im being honest it kinda ruined the magical part of it.
Ariel was fun! She was my all time favorite meet and greet with my kids! Can’t wait to take them back now that she’s back!
I went on last night , everyone standing at the end clapping for people they didn’t even know was so 🥺
That's the magic of Disney right there.

I'm glad you had a good last Splash! It was my favorite Disney moment! An amazing LAST SPLASH FOR ME PERSONALLY! I Tiered up man!

I’ve been in Splash Mountain only once at Disneyland in 2017 and also JustinScarred is one of my favorite Disney Parks Bloggers

You should research the raciest history of the movie this ride was themed after… maybe then you would understand the reason it’s being removed.
My first ever full ride of splash was literally the final day of operation and I went on during fireworks, all the other times I rode it, it broke down and I got evaced so it was pretty magical
I was watching a live stream on splash mountains last day and after all the logs went down all the guests sang kumbayah. I cried so much that night 😭

The fact that they are retheming this ride makes me sad, cuz I loved the ride so much, especially the laughing place song

It should make you happy that they are removing a ride based on a racist movie 🤷 it’s had its run. Time to move on.

The best and worst moment I had on splash was I got stuck on the outside part while it was pouring rain. I'll miss it😂

Honestly I'm not that sad about Splash closing just because the same base ride will be there with a different story when it comes back.
I love Ariel I have a big confession when I was like six I have a crush on Prince Eric
Frozen is not as good as Maelstrom and I fear Tiana will not be all that- there are no mountains In Louisiana 😢
I’m glad I get to experience the last splash through your channel ty jojo! Splash mountain you’ll be missed❤
Same, my last splash was in September.😥
Jojo,I think you might need to take a break. We love you, please take care of yourself.❤
I never went on splash mountain
I’ve got a Superman suit so I should do better than Peter 13:02
Im actually so excited to have a new ride , we had our fun with splash mountain time for some changes and new memories to make ! (:
Do you think in the re theme they will do a small "nod" to splash mountain?
Not likely due to its removal because of its racial controversy.
When is Kyle Coming Back
i love your vids
Great videos JoJo! I’m sure that everyone is gonna miss this ride. I know I will! Keep up the wonderful content!!😁😁😁
Ariel meet and greet was adorable!!!!
I smell of lies I was there the day splash closed I came back a couple days later splash mountain music was playing

Thanks for Sharing JoJo, Please check out my vlogs and tell me what you think!
Disney is going to lose so much money closing one of the most famous rides in history
Ariel looks familiar 🤔
