I love these books. Have up to 18 in the American versions, several signed hardbacks (rip joe) and i recently bought the entire British run. It's such a great have world, and a constant source of ideas and item. Just last session of 2e i gave the kids a few potions of laumspur. I can't recommend these enough. I look forward to any lonewolf content. Ty!!!
Was looking up these books online. Turns out I bought one of them months ago at the local used books store and haven't played it yet (World of Lone Wolf #2, 1986). Can't believe I've been sitting on this.
I love how this book is all about finding the safest and fastest way to the capitol, but Tracking wasn't the first choice 😂 It makes for a more challenging game i guess, i thoroughly enjoyed this playthrough, really entertaining stuff! I must admit i sometimes cheated while reading the book, just to see what will happen if i had different skills
I like the synopsis of what a Kai Warrior is - “like a fantasy Jedi”. Playing these books held a special, magical and inspiring place in my teenage years. And I feel great comfort and joy knowing others love these books as much as I do. Looking forward to next chapter :)
FYI, the rule is if you successfully complete this book you get to add 1 skill to the 5 you’ve already selected (6 total) for book 2. This continues out 7 skills in book 3, 8 in book 4, and 9 in book 5.
I'm not far in yet, still the first part of the adventure, but I had to say that I would pay money for Guy to read me bedtime stories. His accent and the content are giving me strong nostalgia for things like DOS fantasy adventure games.
For those interested, all these adventures are available via Project Aon. Joe Dever secured his legacy as one of the greatest artists of the genre when he allowed that project to come to fruition.
Sounds like your chat was the typical twitch chat... Full of nonsense and people that woke up and chose violence. Edit: And yes, we need a part two. We definitely need a part two.
Ah, Joe Dever. I grew up on these books. Good stuff.
Please keep doing these. I read a bunch of these all through middle school.

I remember these books while I was growing up, it was so much fun going through these.
Wow! I'd forgotten about these books. What a great blast from the past :)
This brought back memories! Thanks for the fun stream! 😊
I would love to watch more of these!
Loved this possibly one of my favourite read throughs of all time - keep it up !

This is cool, never knew they existed. Thanks for playing through the way you do!
Do you have all 5 of your beginning skills? I can only see the 1
Holy cow, this takes me back. Was always hard to get books where I grew up in the states. I think I only had up through Wolf's Bane.

Wonderful adventure, thank you!
39:20 was adorable. :D The joy in your voice after discovering you can have 5 skills. :D

Ah, the nostalgia of seeing that sheet and its style ❤
Yes please continue! It was such a rollicking good time; i could do with 35 minutes to 4 hours or anything in between!
i remember playing the Lone Wolf games on Android . (They had three of the novels, I believe, as android Choose Your Own Adventure)
I enjoyed it.
And I think I found the next book series to buy.
Amazing video! I'm currently designing a tabletop 'text based adventure game' 😃 Never played LoneWolf, so this was very inspiring! 🎲
please do part 2

The original combat system was a graph with random numbers between 0 to 9 that you dropped your pencil onto. You can replace this with a d10.
39:05 is the moment of realization you're looking for if you've played this before and are confused at the beginning.
Quest intro 15:45 sounds a lot like Deckard Cain from Diablo 2 😂
Where is the software shown?
‘‘Twas fun gents
For Adventure!
