I love Bronze Goddess and the flankers! My friend in college, her dad was the town Mayor, and neither of us had a car. Her mom would give us rides everywhere and she always had a gorgeous cloud of White Linen around her, especially when she would flip her long brown hair back -gorgeous!
Estee lauder was one of my favorites at the Department store ❤ I was a personal trainer and aerobics instructor in the 1980s and I loved to wear my youth dew to the gym 😂
I'm in many ways like you... Even like you and your sister! I also love fragrances from the 70s, 80s, 90s. In fact, I still adore Velvet Imary by Avon from the late 1990s. A few years ago I got OG Opium YSL for $8 ! When I sprayed it on my husband's neck when we were in our car, we both enjoyed the scent during a 30 min drive home. But it happened on a cool April day. I want to suggest you to get that old perfumed body lotion on a clean soap dish and keep it on your bedside table to enjoy the scent that way.
Absolutely love Estée Lauder Fragrances also . One of a few Houses that I hold close to my heart . Cacheral is another . Lovely vintage scents . I have Pleasures ,Beautiful ,White Linen &Knowing . Very Feminine Classy Scents medium to Moderate priced . Of course I’m from Canada and here Prices are sometimes slightly elevated than what you would pay in your United States . A $ 20-$30 bottle of perfume would Cost me roughly $30-$35. Here in Canada . Ideally a sale price or inexpensive fragrance here would Cost about $21-$22 then there is tax on top of that. Loving your entire video content . Just right up my alley . Perfect not over the top presentations. Honest and very down to earth Corina Thanks Laura in Canada ❤😊🙌🏻🇨🇦
Will we ever get to see you? It's such a joy to see your bottles, I do feel envy but awe as well and nostalgia. I just found Jovan musk and vailla fields and sneakily smelled them at Walmart, as a result of your videos. Was it you that said vanilla fields is sour? Yes I did agree and not a fan at all. But loved the musk and wild musk by Jovan. I forget thr scent that used to have a funky stand, a foggy long tall vial with neon green and purple blue plastic holder, it was low priced. I want to find that again. Bought it 25 years ago.. I should specify, you have inspired me to seek older scents from our youth that I hadn't ever tried when I was young and I forgot them until now and didn't realize I could still find them until your videos..notnthay you showed vanilla fields in your video lol, I think I had mentioned it in a comment and you said you weren't a fan either . Cheers
I love the vintage Vanilla Fields! It was such a a clean, fresh, simple fragrance, you wouldn't think they'd try to cheapen it by a bad reformulation, but they did!😢 I'd never buy what they're selling now, but if you get a well cared for bottle of the original version, you'll see how good it was. Even the bottle itself was nicer, with that frosted glass design and nice cap. Why must they ruin everything?!
Me , back in the day I used to rock knowing. It was my powers sent when I was in management at Hudsons. I haven’t worn it in years, but I bet if I smelled it, I would be right back in the 90s!
Oh I love both bronze goddess edp and eau fraiche! Have the tub of body cream too! I used to bake at the beach every day in summer in the 70s and 80s (and 90s) it dies smell like tanning lotion. The rest of those perfumes I cant do. Especially Youth dew which my uncle used to buy for me and my mom every Christmas because the sales lady told him that all women love it. We both hated it and would gift it to someone else or throw it away. Lol. Definitely not for a teenage girl. I enjoy your videos, thanks
Love this video! I have such a scent memory with Pleasures and Youth Dew. Not sure I could pull them off on myself but such nostalgia in those perfume gems ❤
Just discovered your channel and so glad I did! I'm a huge fan of vintage scents and have quite a few gems from Estee Lauder. My favorite ELs are Knowing and Very Estee...GOOD STUFF!!!
Another great video. I appreciate you describing these fragrances so well, and I find the stories linked to them really fun and interesting as well. I want to go back and try all of these, thank you!
I can relate so much to you in so many ways. I have my dreams too of living in that kind of understated wealth. Not dirty rich. Just easy pleasant clean and generous. I moved to the states in the lates 90's. So i dont have alot of perfume memories growing up here but i remember my first perfume when i moved here was perry ellis America. I loved it!! And got compliments every where i went. Thinking about it im going to check if it still available and buy it. 😁
At my local Macy’s Estée Lauder is found on the first floor with the Estée Lauder make up and newer products. The Backstage perfumes are mostly celebrity brands and off brands.
Ladies, please don't use perfumed dusting powder. My grandmother always wore Arpege dusting powder and she died of ovarian cancer. Perfumed dusting powder can definitely cause medical problems ... there is too much aluminum, or something. Great video! I love Youth Dew, Bronze Goddess, Tuscany, Estee ... a lot of Estee Lauder fragrances, actually.

Wow! We have a very similar scent memory! My friend’s mom drove us around in a big, red Jeep Grand Wagoneer that smelled of White Linen.
@@MyPerfumeMapyes! White Linen will always have a classy lady smell to me 😂

Love carnation in perfumes too. It's not done today anymore, unfortunately....unless anybody can give any suggestions...it would be great.
Just looked on Google, they listed quite a few perfumes with carnation notes. The best known being L' air du temps by Nina ricci

I don’t think I’ve ever smelled vanilla fields, so it wasn’t me who said I didn’t like it. I want to try it!
@@MyPerfumeMap definitely try to get your hands on a vintage bottle! It was really nice.
@roringusanda2837 that's so interesting, the original was better as is the case with so many perfumes, and other things .
I remember wearing Pleasures back in the day. I'd be interested to try Bronze Goddess (the closest I'll get to a tan!)

I love how fragrance can be a time machine. Thanks for sharing!
Oh you have me intrigued about White Linen. Haven't smelt it in years 😊
L' air du temps was a carnation perfume...it was one of the most expensive perfumes in the 1980s because it was in a lalique bottle
So true "understated wealth"! Adore White Linnen (and Alliage... and Amazone by Hermes, Must de Cartier etc.). Thank you for reminding me

Hi i love dazzling gold and silver its hard to find and i can't believe the are selling in Amazon for almost 500
Oooo! That’s expensive! I’ll keep my eye out for a used bottle🤑
❤ I love Estee Lauder too!
I love Estée Lauder I specifically enjoy right now, Youth Dew and Beautiful Magnolia also Beautiful.
Estée Lauder is my favorite ❤️. Just ordered the Legacy Collection by Fredrick Malle
Good choice! I want to try that! I still haven’t 🤪
Just received it yesterday, it’s perfect

Tried white linen today and I love it!!! Also picked up Anais Anais. Good stuff. 😇🩵

Mine is set up the same way. I hope they have the legacy collection the next time I visit.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I remember hearing that there have been issues with talc used as a feminine deodorant.
Do you like guy laroche Fidgi?
I actually have a bottle that came in the same lot with the boxed Youth Dew but I haven’t worn it yet. Do you like it?
@MyPerfumeMap I also have yet to smell, the sample is in thr mail. Fist pump
❤❤❤❤
I guess I prefer "dated" scents. Smelling like a cupcake makes me feel ill. 🥴
