Great picks! Love the Oud Satin Mood dupe you have there - it is so good. I'm glad to see someone using the Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose too, it's great for layering as well. Always love Dark Kiss and it layers well with Midnight Fantasy. I totally agree with your thoughts about the sandalwoods. I can't wear a lot of modern sandalwoods because they use molecular essences like javanol and it smells like you said, kind of a harsh smell on my skin. But the vintage sandalwoods, oh, they are so smooth and beautiful. Thanks!!!
I'm not a fragrance snob either. I love getting perfumes for less. I even named my collection Sweet Victory just for paying less for expensive fragrances. I've got plenty of rose scented perfumes and love them. I would love to get Stella Stella McCartney without paying a lot for it. 🤔
@@MyPerfumeMap Every time buying an expensive perfume for less makes me feel like a sweet victory.... Well, expensive means department store fragrances.
I love the smell of roses, but rose fragrances can be so off, somehow. I have (but don’t love) Quelques Roses by Houbigant and BBW Rose. But I love Ombre Rose by Brosseau. So good! It’s not technically a soliflore, but to me it has the purest, softest rose around. And it’s so inexpensive now! Back in the 80s it was a fancy department store fragrance, but not any more.
I’ll have to check those out! Perfumes that were expensive in the past but are a good deal now are some of my favorites to try. It seems like they’ve made enough money and can now keep it going for a reasonable price. Love that!
Oh no the dreaded fresh rose scents - I wish they worked on me but they turn sour on my skin. The Elizabeth Taylor Rouge is supposed to be a dupe for Armani Si - would like to try that one.🌹
Haha. I tried to include a range of scents. Some are very obvious ROSE and some just have a little tiny rose smooshed in the middle. Thanks for watching!
Girl I am in Northern Colorado and it was in the 60s all week until today...its raining and snowing over here so I feel ya. As a floral fragrance lady myself...I am on a quest to rediscover rose fragrances and this review came at a perfect time. 😊
I love the smell of roses. Sometimes yes they can be old smelling to say somth. Soapy. But i still trying. I own flor oscar and bella rosa by oscar de la renta. Very pleasant and soft. Rosewood by banana republic is creamy soft delicious. Issey miyake l'eau d'issey is an aquatic which ussually smell like urine on me but it has enough flowers and rose too. Smell lovely on me. Found it at ross for 15..99. Own tresor too. Was a gift and i love it. Keep it for special occasions bc of the price. Of all the perfume youtubers i subscribed to yours bc its down to earth and very informative about perfumers etc. Good tips for a girl on a budget like me!

I love the idea of naming the collection.

Thank you very much! I want to try l’eau d’issey, it has been on my list for a while.
Has anyone tried both Cabotine EDT and EDP? I hear they are a bit different from each other... can anyone elaborate?
