I have loved seeing uncle Ian & father Phil starting to really have fun & their eyes opened by the new opportunities your channel is bringing to the business…even if it is a look see & a play. Again magic to see the ol’fella’s enjoying themselves 👍
Saw the 6499 in the flesh today at Longford show. Didn't surprise me she still has all her ponies. Pleasure to meet yourself and Liv. Worth the drive from maynooth.👍
Great video Phil keep us going in hosiptal with our daughter lots of time hanging around looking at DoneDeal if yeah look up temple tuothy kilkenny mf 8160 18000 euros clean looking one
Plenty of Valmet/Sisu horses here. Some solid engines,6499 could use some re-program or "chippin" for more power and torque, while getting lower fuel consumption.
Have you considered optimising the 99? We bought a 2012 7480 with the 6.6 Sisu engine in it, and we got it remapped with Mygenius, got 50hp and 190nm extra, and lot of low rpm grunt putting the fuel consumption down 😁
We will have to watch on later. For our Sunday viewing will be very interesting viewing so Happy Sunday to the Farmer Phil and liv and father and family members.Good luck 🍀
great vidioe phil you should do a dyno day with all of you tractors (between vintage old school and modern) and have people brining their tractors down
Thanks for that, i am 22 years working at Fastracs, and Kaylem has been soaking them up since the day he was born. Its nearly all i know at this stage.
Good look farmer Phil and family . Brilliant clip lads and a great day . Very exciting day for you all. Thanks to mammy Diane and Liv for your lovely hospitality on the day . A brilliant day to spend my birthday . Delighted to see where all the magic happens. 👨👩👧👦👩👩👧👨👨👦 well done Russell fastraxx my boys👨👦
Ah yes we really enjoyed the opportunity to play with our toys on the Stewart Farm. And thanks for joining us there Denise even though it was your birthday 😁
@@the13spanner hey Robert love how the fastrac work in the last few vid’s, would love to have a proper look and drive of her, I’m changing a tractor and would love to put a fastrac on the bog and see how she would operate,
Good show 👏 that's dynos have been about a while I mind using ones the same back in the 1990s. Must be OK 👍. So ... I take it by the results there will be no cheeky 365 coming home etc 😉😆. Stay safe 🏴
We had an old sideloade she ran out of fuel once instead of bleeding it you held the tilt one way turned teh key and repeated the other way and away she went lol
Says alot about the power of the 99 that she came in as rated and still better tractor on triples than the JCB! No replacement for displacement for some jobs anyway!! Horses for courses I suppose, id take the jcb for roadwork any day of week id say
I have a 7495 2008 putting out 227hp on the Dyno it has had a ECU tune good on fuel love it on the Bale McHale V660. I run the 7495 in econo PTO to drive the baler. The Vario is excellent on the baler wouldn't go back to a semi power shift for baling. Great vids good to see the old Masseys pulling the weight
I could show you lots of MF /JD/ NH whatever that may have lots of issues before 6 or 7k hours but I don’t know if I would bother to write a purely negative comment without adding something constructive to the conversation really. Thanks
@@the13spanner im not just hitting on jcb i know fendt have there problems with all the modern stuff is rubbish and not just tractors i would be a john deere man but id be 6920s 6910 or before them the r series are rubbish
Great video and let's us see the features that a JCB has and the four wheel steer seems essential with this kind of tractor. Fair play to the Russell team as they have the knowledge and faith in their products to lend one out for a trial. Would be a good tractor if you had loads of road work as part of your day as the comfort and speed would be a bonus...
I think ye were thrown in the deep end with the cvt, john deeres auto power is the easiest one to learn on I know others opinions may differ I can only speak for myself and the few different types I've used
They all take a little while to master, but once you get in on them, whatever the brand, it’s hard to go back. Unfortunately Phil was very much under pressure to keep the baler moving before the rain moved in so the training course was rather short unfortunately
Fastrac’s do take a while to get used to compared to others, but once you’ve got used to it you can do anything any other comparable hp tractor probably a bit more because of the suspension and balance, the best mod you can do is put a hitch camera on
Best hitch camera I’ve seen put on a fastrac is the one on ollyblogs fastrac with it up under the carriage Pointing down on the pick up hitch I don’t like the ones put on the mirror arms that you fold up and down.
Very true horse power is important but not whole story.. Very much depends on use engine is put to or what manufacturer intended tractor to do primarily...no fault of either machine..
Iv said it once I will say it again. That Fastrac has PHIL writen all and I mean all over it!!. She is the Scooby/Mr2 of the tractor world. "Come on now" in my best Irish accent. I used to love running the dyno and that was prettty much the same model as i used to use 28+ years ago. If it works no need to change I suppose. "Surprised there was not a lot more ponys lets out the yard". Good results on the dyno
Phil to the non farmers what is a pony on the tractor cos I ain’t got a clue what yous are talk about and what the machine that was on the tractor does. Lol. Don’t 😂 I’m a non farmer and a non driver.
Myself and Kaylem are father and son. Kaylem also works at Finnegans Farm and makes regular appearances on their brilliant UA-cam channel. And thanks for the compliment 😁

Nice to see father Phil’s smile 😃 when driving the fast trac he looked made up great vid
170hp at the shaft the 3690 was rated at , tested right around that at nebraska I think

That was fun.
A vintage dyno day would be good?
Perhaps a charity event for booked participants and only up to a certain year?
Would have been great, pulling out the Nuffield, Crystal and 3075 😁

So 14,000 hours ! You must be some
Men to keep tractors Serviced ...
You should do a video on how
You get such long life out of
Them .....
99 surprised me I honestly thought she was chipped. Good strong engine 💪
Da wut? Chipped 7,4 Sisu can put out 250hp at least.
Tho that yellow does look mint in the line up
Great video Phil 👌
Hello Phil , need to catch up what I’ve missed, 👍
it is the JCB CVT handling that make´s it awkward. Switched from a 6180 to a 7618 Dyna VT and felt it from the first minute
Great video again Phil.

Should have put the umbilical 6290 on it would be the most interesting considering the hours on it
Aw Phil, you will definitely need to get them back to test the vintage fleet. Maybe this will be an excuse to stick a few new turbos into the tractors
Yes that sounds very interesting indeed. We will certainly consider this as a future event
When is the 6480 loader tractor gonna get fixed?
Great video Phil
Great video Phil 👍👍👍👍
Very interesting
Great video love the 2725
Fine video the MF tractors still got it . Father Phil likes the JCB he had fun driving it so he did !! SLAN ''
U should have tested the 6290
The 6290 on the farm where i worked has 155HP on the PTO measured after a Dyno
You'll never kill a crystal. Maybe can't stop it do
Many have tried but most have failed 😀
Hi Phill you should have kept d koboto longer and tested it
Pity they didn't leave the JCB for few weeks. It's hard to give a review when you were only getting used to the machine then it has to go.
Should have done steady Eddie’s 6290
The 1200 wouldve been great to see on the dyno
Maybe next time 🔥
Moral of the story between massey and jcb... no replacement for displacement...
A fair comment. The 7.4 litre SISU engine does appear to have the edge over the smaller 6.6 unit
Very true horse power is important but not whole story..
Very much depends on use engine is put to or what manufacturer intended tractor to do primarily...no fault of either machine..
My car is 250 bhp I think I'll hook up a mower
go for it
Cheering lets go Brandon, Feeding the algorithm
what about torque readings?
Love the videos from Norwegian farmer💪💪
It’s cruel hard on the tractor tho..🙈
Keep up the good work with MF tractors and JCB tractor philip
Im thinking if setting up a gofund me page for a haircut for Phil
