Plenty of Valmet/Sisu horses here.Some solid engines,6499 could use some re-program or "chippin" for more power and torque,while getting lower fuel consumption.
Dyno runs are great fun. Glad to see the old girls putting on a show.
Good to see Father Phil having a drive somone needs to give you a new 7724 exclusive to play with its the right colour for your yard 😉

Thanks for that, i am 22 years working at Fastracs, and Kaylem has been soaking them up since the day he was born. Its nearly all i know at this stage.
I have a 7495 2008 putting out 227hp on the Dyno it has had a ECU tune good on fuel love it on the Bale McHale V660. I run the 7495 in econo PTO to drive the baler. The Vario is excellent on the baler wouldn't go back to a semi power shift for baling. Great vids good to see the old Masseys pulling the weight

Would have been great, pulling out the Nuffield, Crystal and 3075 😁
We had an old sideloade she ran out of fuel once instead of bleeding it you held the tilt one way turned teh key and repeated the other way and away she went lol

170hp at the shaft the 3690 was rated at , tested right around that at nebraska I think

Says alot about the power of the 99 that she came in as rated and still better tractor on triples than the JCB! No replacement for displacement for some jobs anyway!! Horses for courses I suppose, id take the jcb for roadwork any day of week id say

Great video and let's us see the features that a JCB has and the four wheel steer seems essential with this kind of tractor. Fair play to the Russell team as they have the knowledge and faith in their products to lend one out for a trial. Would be a good tractor if you had loads of road work as part of your day as the comfort and speed would be a bonus...
Have you considered optimising the 99? We bought a 2012 7480 with the 6.6 Sisu engine in it, and we got it remapped with Mygenius, got 50hp and 190nm extra, and lot of low rpm grunt putting the fuel consumption down 😁

it is the JCB CVT handling that make´s it awkward. Switched from a 6180 to a 7618 Dyna VT and felt it from the first minute

3690 is missing 20hp on the PTO should put out 170hp on PTO, the 2735 is missing 20hp also, the 6490 is missing 15 hp PTO and gross engine on the dynamic 6 should be the same , its not vario , lads always talking up their tractor hp :-)
99 surprised me I honestly thought she was chipped. Good strong engine 💪
Da wut? Chipped 7,4 Sisu can put out 250hp at least.
I think ye were thrown in the deep end with the cvt, john deeres auto power is the easiest one to learn on I know others opinions may differ I can only speak for myself and the few different types I've used
They all take a little while to master, but once you get in on them, whatever the brand, it’s hard to go back. Unfortunately Phil was very much under pressure to keep the baler moving before the rain moved in so the training course was rather short unfortunately
Aw Phil, you will definitely need to get them back to test the vintage fleet. Maybe this will be an excuse to stick a few new turbos into the tractors

Brilliant come on massey power
Fastrac’s do take a while to get used to compared to others, but once you’ve got used to it you can do anything any other comparable hp tractor probably a bit more because of the suspension and balance, the best mod you can do is put a hitch camera on

Best hitch camera I’ve seen put on a fastrac is the one on ollyblogs fastrac with it up under the carriage Pointing down on the pick up hitch I don’t like the ones put on the mirror arms that you fold up and down.

Pity they didn't leave the JCB for few weeks. It's hard to give a review when you were only getting used to the machine then it has to go.

The 6290 on the farm where i worked has 155HP on the PTO measured after a Dyno

Are them gear boxes in the jcb not giving trouble around 6 and 7k hours
I could show you lots of MF /JD/ NH whatever that may have lots of issues before 6 or 7k hours but I don’t know if I would bother to write a purely negative comment without adding something constructive to the conversation really.

A fair comment. The 7.4 litre SISU engine does appear to have the edge over the smaller 6.6 unit
Very true horse power is important but not whole story..
Very much depends on use engine is put to or what manufacturer intended tractor to do primarily...no fault of either machine..

I used to love running the dyno and that was prettty much the same model as i used to use 28+ years ago.
