The pictures of the galactic core and novas really sell this. I have never read this short story, but I HAVE read every other Larry Niven novel. I've heard reference to Beowulf's travel to the core many times. Now, listening to this, the story is complete. This is an epic prequel.

I love Larry Niven's stories. I grew up reading Bradbury, Clarke, Asimov, and Heinlein with all their classic heroes. Beowulf Schaeffer was my first anti-hero and I can't get enough. You've a great voice. Glad to have found your channel.
