For me, this guy is solely and wholly the pinnacle of all things UNKLE. Unique is a understatement for what does and how he does it. There is no one like him. Ever.
Years ago, I found the original, longer version of this, where he starts by talking about the equipment he uses. Such an amazing artist, such an amazing performance.
ate lsd in the woods one night with 2 friends and played this album. didnt finish the album one friend would not let me play this song whatsoever. he knew it was gonna be too intense for himself to handle
Jingle Jangle ah got it. I know of the track but for some reason the way he edited into the live version sounded more like Aschcroft to me. I went back and listened to Rabbit and heard the vocal part...what a great track though.
It's absolutely Thom Yorke. The sample is from another TUne Shadow did with him as Unkle called Rabbit in your headlights. Also an intensely amazing tune.
The track at the end of Heat is "God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters" by Moby. Available on the album "I Like To Score". And you're right, it's a corker.
This is a talented piece which brings needed balance to "modern" music. Harmonic creative masterpieces vs. profit based industries driven by pop images.
Singer says "I can still feel you" in spite of lacking sensory perceptions, proving that he exists through memories and recollections (hence the many snapshots when the percussions hit) Communication without speech or body language, but through experience - Shadow's being his journey through music, on tour and perhaps the creative process in the studio, but that's just my take on the track
I'm trying to make an album now. It takes so much time, so many hours wasted. And you think to yourself, I could be doing anything right now, I could be living. What am I doing. Suddenly all music just sounds the same and the music becomes mathematical. Trying to force some imaginary barrier. Music should be fun,it should be so simple. What a joke, I really wish I could just be content, I didn't want any regrets, I wanted to finish my art. Now I regret bothering to follow it through. What a joke
Hey, I hope you finished your album and are still creating! At times in the creative process we lose our original inspiration, but I promise it returns. No joke. Your art is unique and meaningful. 🖤
Does anyone remember a version of this song played to an animation of a man consuming everything until he gets very fat and isolated, and then a bunch of starved people eat him at the end? I haven’t been able to find it in many years, thanks
The best song ever made.
The montage of photos at the end just brings back so many memories of those halcyon days of the early and mid 2000s.
This version will always be the best with that vocal. I still have the original DVD/CD!!
For me, this guy is solely and wholly the pinnacle of all things UNKLE. Unique is a understatement for what does and how he does it. There is no one like him. Ever.

indeed; i couldn't believe it for ages: I think it's the change of the surrounding music which makes it sound soo different as-well as the loop.
Always in the right place at the right time. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💥

Years ago, I found the original, longer version of this, where he starts by talking about the equipment he uses.

Yes

💎
the only reason this version is better than the recorded is Tom Yorke's "away..."
It's so subtle, but so FUCKING SICK.
