So many tears my favorite off this. The introspective lyrics really showcases Pac`s talents and makes him stand out from his "gangster rap" peers at the time which all where playing tuff guys that where too insecure to show real emotions
My all time favorite Pac album! Most will go with All Eyez On Me because of the hits but Me Against The World just hits different! Not to mention Temptations & So Many Tears are my favorite Pac songs 🔥🔥
My Favorite Pac Album & One of my favorite albums of all time. The Dope thing about this album that stands out to me , is this album came out when everyone in HipHop was super territorial & mainly repping they city & where they were from. With this Album Pac was making songs that described the whole black community, no matter what city or coast you were from. Pac was The Bridge of it All, Born & Raised in Harlem, Lived in Harlem & The Bronx til he was 15, Lived in Baltimore for a Few Years, Then Lived In Oakland. He had the personal experience of all these different hoods & put it into these songs.
Love 2pac. Growing up to his music, movies, poetry was just amazing. Still remember where I was when I found out he died. 7th grade homeroom. Still bums me out cause man he would've been everywhere. Great reaction y'all.
This album has my fav 2Pac song of all time on it and it’s the title track “Me Against The World” the song takes me back to when my Step Father used to play it all the time in the living room smoking black & milds RIP Popz it’s just sum about that song that just makes me emotional.🥹🙏🏽🐐🕊️✨(To me this is Pac’s most realest album before all the Death Row nonsense came and got in the way of this legend.)
My favorite artist of all time. He honestly got sharper every album. Very rare thing. Usually it's downhill. Very few artist get better in my opinion. Great job gentlemen
Thank you for playing this album. Fun fact there is a podcast called "sample lounge" and easy mo bee is breaking down how he produced the songs on this album especially temptations and it's mind blowing I swear .. as a producer it's like wow
This is more somber than ALL EYEZ ON ME. These songs come off as r&b. I think Pac dragged a little bit slowing it down to sing tempted to sing but stuck to rappin'. He had such a distinctive voice. Had that bounciness, that energy to it opposed to others that are laid back so much you need the music to dance to. You take away the music from Pac, you can still dance to his voice alone. "Lord knows" song, you take away the lyrics, it's a gospel song. You get a gospel touch, r&b soul touch , all this out of a hip hop artist. Never ever ever again. Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
Yo this is definitely my favorite Pac album and rap album as a whole. I got this album right when CD's got big as an 8 year old and it got me thru some times. Will always have a special reserved place in my heart and life
WOW MAN, IT'S SO DAMN COOL THAT AND A BRILLIANT IDEA THAT YOU AND YOUR POPS GET TO REACT TO GENERATIONAL MUSIC TOGETHER. HEY MAN, LET YOUR POPS LACE YOU WITH SOME CLASSIC SOUL GEMS EVERY NOW AND AGAIN. THAT WAY IN RETURN HE CAN SCHOOL US IN OUR GENERATION ON OUR ROOTS AND CULTURE AND WHERE IT ALL COMES FROM.
Much love and respect from Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK I Remember buying the last cassette from HMV back in March 1995 £9.99 Got the bus back to my friends house ... I said look what I've got...pulled the cassette from the pocket of my naughty by nature hoodie ! We were so excited to listen to it man!!! I was 12 years old ... Amazing memories. One of my favourite album's of all time! 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧
My favorite album of all time it just shows you what he was going through at the time based off of the intro he was going through a lot of pressure so that's why you can feel everything he saying
Tupac Amaru Shakur also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an American rapper and actor. Considered to be one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time, academics regard him as one of the most influential music artists of the 20th century and a prominent political activist for Black America.
So happy yall finally did this album! 1. Me Against the World 2. Don Kiluminati 3. All Eyez on Me Most underrated song : Until the end of time give your pops a listen to that song that and starin at the world through my rearview
Pac's best album for sure. No one was saying what he was saying ,,, and no one was making you feel it like he made me you feel it. All eyez on me was a release ... and makaveli is up there. No hip hop artist created a better album than this for me. And personally So Many Tears is the best song .... Everyone around the world LOVE it. He makes music that makes all walks of life relate to it ... the hardest thing to do in life.
Also i want to add this channel is unique. Great stuff. Adding your perspective with your fathers works so well. You learn a lot by doing that - 2 diff generations with diff contributions is awesome. A huge issue in hip hop is people not understanding the root of where it comes from. Personally i view rap and hip hop differently. Rap is the method of expression, hip hop is the culture. I would love if you at some point did a reaction to the Dear Mama documentary on Pac and Afeni Shakur's story ... it's really well done, i think it was up for awards .. and gives a real insight into his upbringing and his mothers .... civils rights, to Malcolm X, to black panthers, to hip hop.
This was PAC best most complete album. More of his actual self and not the thug life stuff. IMO Temptations is the best cut he did production wise done by Easy Mo B. The sample of Computer Love for the bass line foundation was incredible!
forget Rap/Hiphop for a second .......that last verse on "Me against the world" is hands down one of the greatest pieces of music or lyricism ever written also "Old school" is a really important song ; considering he wrote thsi shit during the height of the beef ; he showed that he didnt hate the whole of new york; just certain cats that he felt wronged him
You gotta have pops react to the conscience , pro black , black panther pac before the death row era 2pacalypse Now 🫡👌🏽and then all eyes on me, until end of time and finally loyal to the game
Pac said, "First I'mma give em what they wanna hear... Then I'mma give em what they NEED to hear!"
Great words.

My favorite Pac album. This is his most personal piece of work because of what he was going through between late ‘93-and all of ‘94. 🔥
