Nice catch. If only I had chosen to eat lunch that day in West Allis I would have seen this climb the hill. On its return it was on Virtual rail and being the trailing unit there was Freight hooked on to it but I don't know if it was put on at Butler or Proviso. Ironically this train set is making another trip including the 5566 it was on Reds Iowa train videos Sunday
Since there's a picture if you were to continue looking EB in a mile you'll be at ST Francis Tower where the line splits left towards the old Depot downtown now a dead end or to the right with the old passenger line by the lake and the new line which sees most of the freight. The shiny metal in the distance is a height detector put in after some containers struck a bridge so this is a non Intermodal line. The photographer's back is against a classic industrial building WB Bottle which has about four loading dock doors spaced out for 40-foot boxcars and the metal. bumping post is still there probably 50 years since a car came here. To the left is probably the smallest chipper in Milwaukee that being a brick company which gets maybe two cars a year. Part of what keeps that siding in is that there's no siding for several miles any direction so MOW equipment is stashed there when needed
Nice 👍 I caught this one down the Shoreline Sub Monday the 19th!
Awesome catch!
