The entire Chicagoland area still test their tornado sirens every first Tuesday of every month.

A nice collection of scenes along the WSOR. The 3 GPs notching up through Slinger was great but that lead with the single SD40 Crossing Mill Road was a memory of the Milwaukee 40 years ago when I went to school directly behind you and worked at a facility two blocks north of where you're standing. While it's not the same power or frequency it's good to still see rail service. Thanks for that collection

Why was 281 (today i think its 247) going slow was he trying to switch tracks, or going slow to let 149 pass so 247 can diverge in Sturtevant?

Ive passed by the crossing here many times and I always wonder what this branch was for. Too bad its no longer in service. I assume that crossing is now abandoned. Nice catch!

Nice catch. If only I had chosen to eat lunch that day in West Allis I would have seen this climb the hill. On its return it was on Virtual rail and being the trailing unit there was Freight hooked on to it but I don't know if it was put on at Butler or Proviso. Ironically this train set is making another trip including the 5566 it was on Reds Iowa train videos Sunday
