We were impressed that Leanne could balance so many apples on top of a container, Alison! It was quite remarkable indeed. #replay.. love the idea of using fruit in the basket, I have a small hamper I put in a cupboard as I felt it would be ‘useful’ one day, but didn’t notice what you used for a container/reservoir in the basket?
Hello Rosemary! We agree with you completely. The fruit and magnolia in the picnic basket was such a charming arrangement and we're so happy to hear that you like it. Leanne placed a plastic tray liner into the basket, but you could also line it with a light colored plastic trash bag. Anything that will keep the water and moisture from seeping through would work. Hello Horses are cool! It's a pleasure to see you again. The glue that Leanne is using is called OASIS Floral Adhesive. It's also known as cold glue and it is very effective in adhering floral materials. The best technique is glue to glue as that is the strongest way for things to stick together. Thank you very much for your request, Monika! We focus mostly on fresh flowers but occasionally we add a few permanent botanicals to the arrangements as well. We'll let Leanne know what you are asking and perhaps as we get closer to the holidays, we can put something together that mixes both silk and fresh flowers.
