What an unexpected surprise this saturday! Kay undeniably have one of a kind, true pilot spirit! Jason, you're discovering yours as well! Have an Amazing weekend everyone! 🙌🏼
Always excited to see what my Saturday morning entertainment will be from this channel. I have to say, today certainly doesn't disappoint! Love Fly with Kay! Been following her almost as long as I've followed you.
@@rebuildrescuecan you do a more in-depth video on Buckshot whisky? Ie. Cost to fully modify, your opinions on each mod. Was BW abandoned before you acquired it and if so what work was done to get it airworthy?
@officialRebuildRescue_- hey, I’m an A/P 21 years with the airline and now I’ve got 2 cherokees and 1 Bonanza. Rebuilding all 3 from scratch. Love your channel!
Nice fun competition, with two great aircraft. I actually like the 140, it's just good cheap fun. However what was going on with the DG, did you guys take a detour to the Bermuda Triangle? It was spinning almost as fast as the prop 😄 . Hope you collaborate again with Kay, good video and presentation.
Jason, put the lopresti or knots2U wheel pants on the main gear and it will make the 140 go 5mph faster in cruise at that 2550 power setting. I love old cherokees!
When are you going to get back on the 301 rebuild? That's what we look forward to every week. I am waiting to see what "mission" projects you actually take on, after the plane is flying.
How fun was that! I'm going to go find Kay's channel. She seems fun! Thanks for doing this. I look forward to your videos on Saturday morning. It's like Saturday morning cartoons but different.
Cherokees are awesome. My old Archer II with the wheel pants would do 132-135 Knots TAS WOT @ 8500'-9500'. Really fast for a 4 seat fixed pitch cruiser
Nice comparison. Gives me something to think about when our 1976 warrior 151 needs an overhaul or top end. Excellent mention of the clip tip propeller blade mod as I have a cruise prop as well
I think work is being done. I doubt if they only work when the camera is rolling. Maybe soon they will upload something. I just love the content. Maybe because I was here before the 401...
That DG was making me dizzy!! Great video. New to Kay’s channel but seen a ton of Rebuild Rescue videos. Great to see you two sync up for this challenge.
That was fun to watch. Kay is a very knowable pilot and great sport. The mods sure made a difference. I need to look for your 235 vid. I want to see that baby run.
Where are used to have a 140 that was upgraded to a 160 we also had a 180 and I really did love flying to 185 little bit more like a sports car compared to the 140 a great show keep it up
Good wholesome video, 2 great planes. I cannot wait until I finish building my Van's RV. And no, I am not building it from a kit. I have blueprints and building from scratch.
@@buckmurdock2500 I have complete blueprints for the -3 and the -6. I am looking and hoping to find plans for the -12 which is no longer available in kit form.
Great comparison.... how fun.... spend a little here or there.... but mostly.... what can you find..... now..... what else can we compare it to..... hummmmmm.... 😂
I am also conserned about the progress on the 401 progress seems to be a bit slow. I know a good number of the components has been send away but lots of other work can be done or am I wrong. I am not a expert on this
yeaaaaaaa cherokee 140 win!! i have a cherokee 140 GOD MODE.... 160hp wing extension, wing root fairings , wheel fairings and cruise prop... 140 mph with 1000 fpm i love the 140
At least you're smart enough to have a shoulder harness in a plane you fly.... unlike Kay. Although, a bit disappointing you're willing to fly without one.
This is awesome 👏. I also have a 1968 Piper Cherokee 180 like Kay and it’s a really good airplane! Love flying it. Cherokees are great all rounders especially for a first plane. Very easy to fly no bad flight characteristics at all. Decent sized interior (2” wider interior than a 172). Also affordable to maintain as well because they are so simple.
Well, I had to read a lot of comments mostly, because I wasn't planning to make a comment. I decided, I would after all. First, I was very impressed with Kay & how fun is it to get together with other flying enthusiasts. Second, rescue rebiuild has several planes they have rescued & rebuilding. Third, yes its been three weeks since the 401 has been seen but remember, these guys have been working extremely hard on the 401. There has been an air show & there are other planes they have been working on as well. We all love the 401 I am sure we. Will see her very soon. I wonder how Joe's dental procedure is doing! I can't wait to see a big huge smile from Joe! Also, remember we all need a break from time to time. Hopefully we will be seeing a lot of action happening around the 401 real soon! It's good to see other projects & new people stopping by RR to say hello & do some flying!! I love the love from other people in the RR community for the 401. The first time I watch Rebuild Rescue was the first day Jason tried to get her to start. I got hooked immediately! God Bless you all & take care!!
I am sure the 401 is awaiting parts and work is going slowly right now so time is being given to other projects. Have to be something to video to fill the time when 401 Phoenix project is slow.
You are spot on. Thank you so much for posting this. I get so discouraged seeing all the negative comments, I hope the crew does not feel the same. They deserve so much more for all the hard work and long hours they put in. There is so much going on behind the scenes with the 401 that people do not see. They are working on it every day, researching, coordinating the work, gathering parts and equipment, getting work done, inspected, and documented, all the while capturing content and building episodes. Add let's not forget the work that is put in with the sponsors and merchandise, all things that are needed in order to be able to pay the crew. I know they feel it when the views are down and so does their budget, so they appreciate every view. The plans for the 401 are great and everyone on the crew is working to see it thru. Thank you for commenting. PS. I saw Joe a week ago, he was a bit under the weather, but we should be seeing his new smile soon.
great video Jason, i watch kay all the time and she is a great pilot. people subscribe to fly with Kay i watch her and her dad bo all the time and they are a hoot. Jason you got to get your license dude soon. let kay teach you she greases those landings. thanks for posting great video. Larry
Looks like neat little planes but I've never liked of felt comfortable with the 1 door configuration. I think as a learner that's what stopped me from training. Yeah I could of gone Cessna but they were more costly where I was.
GREAT VIDEO!! GREAT... almost... comparison between the two aircraft. Now just imagine... how much more Cruise Speed the 140 could have had... with Wheel Pants on all 3 gear!!! MAYBE.... 140 mph??? LOL!!! =)
I had such a blast coming over, visiting you guys, and flying BW! Can't wait to come back!
It was a pleasure having you, I know everyone would love to have you back! Thank you for the laughs!
I think Kay should get some time in that. 401 once it’s flying
I bet it was a little warm flying back down here to this oven we have🥵
Kay are you still wanting to get your commercial flying license?
Kay is pretty awesome. I catch her TikTok lives as often as I can.

Nice to see the mods helped out. Now, what's up with the 401????
They probably are waiting for more parts before they can fly the 401 out to get it painted.
Kay is a sweetheart. She flies out of KSGR which is 20 minutes from my house. I see Little Red in the skies often.
That was a fun little deviation, thanks for the informative entertainment. It'd be good to have little ones like these occasionally.
Found fly with kay before your channel... she does awesome live streams! So glad you guys did a collaboration.

Not much coverage on the main project.
Forget the speed! I’m flying with Kay!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Bring back the 401 😊😊😊
Thank you both for the video.
Thanks for watching! It was super fun to film👍🏻
Thanks. Learning to fly just moved up on the list.
Jason that was a lot of fun... Go Buckshot Whiskey!!!
Hello Bro, why no video on progress and working on Free Abandoned Airplane? it is second week that I am waiting for.
Cheers from Afghanistan
Where's the 401?
Great to see these two together, meant to be together 🙌
Dream team!
Awesome performance from that mods! 401, we miss that plane btw.
@rebuildrescue when is the next 401 episode coming out?
I wonder, Why he sounds just like he's talking through the aircraft's cabinet headset in starting few minutes intro??? LOL!😂
Great collaboration! Loved the video. 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for stopping by this morning
Saturday morning tradition. Making chocolate chip pancakes for the kids while watching rebuild rescue 👍

That DG in 00W is living its best life!
Funny how you put Sam in this Video, about being old and worn out LMAO......😁😆😅🤣😆🙃😆😄😅😂🙂🙃
Must be the fastest pair of bricks with wings on them, the amount of drag on these things on a scale from 1 to 10 is number barndoor.
These are interesting, however, where’s the 401?
Can’t wait to get back to the 401 videos.
Love @flywthkay watch all her lives
Any thoughts as to whether adding the main gear fairings would increase the cruise speed?
A few knots in cruise. Hassle to check tire pressure with them on. Not worth it imo.
Jason I think pink fingernails polish would make your plane faster you think? LOL
