The fact that the Indians had a 102-win season, won 22 games in a row, went up 2-0 in the ALDS, then choked again and blew the series in 5 games. I was hoping so badly for a repeat of 2016 with CLE vs. CHC in the World Series in 2017. And now I doubt the Indians will see another postseason run for another 15 years. And they'll choke again.
The guardians were just in the playoffs last year and they have more help coming up from the farm lol they’ll make it back and I’m a Cubs fan saying this
Wow strasburg deserved WS mvp in 2019. He’s just been lights out in the postseason every time basically. Sad our bullpen let the starters down for so many years until last year
Ah yes, the last time we won a postseason series. Who would’ve thought after 2016 We’d only win 1 more postseason series and 4 more postseason games with that group? Sharp decline..couldn’t hit in the playoffs.
@@MikeNapoli1989 they seem to be trending in the right direction. Very deep farm that’s top-10, spent some money this off-season on good, solid additions (Swanson, Mancini). I think/hope 2023 is better than 2022 and we win about 81 games with some prospects coming up and some getting to the threshold and 2024 is when we start to win again.
Deciding games? It's not just that, you guys can't even win a fucking playoff series!!!! 8:46 I remember I was watching the game that night and I predicted every move in that inning. I nailed almost every detail in that prediction including the grand slam.
Game 5 was such a cringey game. Thinking about it, how were the Nats unable to beat fellow perennial chokers in the Dodgers in 2016 and this incredibly regressed Cubs squad that were desperately trying to hand them game 5 on a silver platter? Absolutely pathetic.
There is nothing more fitting than that series ending with a Harper strikeout. The Cubs owned the guy, and the Nationals were being held back from the championship they were capable of winning thanks to his lack of leadership.
Did you watch the games? Every meltdown the Nationals had were Bryce's fault? Does he play in the infield? Is he a left fielder? Does he pitch? His RBI count? Tell me how lack of leadership explain the Cardinals meltdown in 2013. Or the bullpen giving up runs. Or the catcher getting picked of at first during a rally. Even if he went .000 in the playoffs, which he didn't, without all the stupid mistakes made by the other players the Nationals could've win with him. I'm a Red Sox fan but this narrative on Harper bothers me a lot.
@@fatdingo8251 absolutely, Grisham makes the play, they're out in the WC game. I rooted for Washington that year since my Red Sox stunk, but I'm not delusional, they got pretty lucky. What a hell of a series
The Washington Nationals have never won a postseason series.

Oh Schwarber. It's nice to see how he's rebounded this year, because damn 4:53...
He’s gotten a lot better on defense thankfully. And better at contact hitting
Season hasnt started and i already miss him😂

the first twelve seconds of the video is like an announcer speedrun
How much time do these videos take
The series highlight videos usually take me a couple hours.
We can't win a deciding game. We just can't.

It always annoyed me how biased the announcers were in favor of the Nats. It's so disgustingly obvious
you see the rizzo home run they reviewed that guy snagged the ball from that dude

It was the catcher - tough game 2 passed balls and a bad throw into right field.

It's amazing how people blamed Harper for the Nats failures, he was always giving everything, pitchers and fielders choke but it was Harper's fault.
