Devil Dino is actually doing fine. He is consistently a 5/17 in his dedicated decks. Which aren’t popular, but are surprisingly rather good. Ronan is at his best, ironically, paired with DH. It’s not a bad card, really. Just niche. It can be up to a 5/19.
@@silvsilvsilv You mean Dino’s? His decks are actually quite good. Dunno what you’re on. I’ve literally competed in top-500 with one. Pretty solid to me.
The problem is that the rocks themselves are very good and then DarkHawk is a great stat stick. Ronan and Dino do not have much disruption that make the stat stick better.
@@LFanimes333 YoWoodyMJ competes in the top-10 with literal meme decks, your (and his) anecdotal evidence means nothing. By and large Devil Dino decks suck. That's why his play rate in Conquest is below 1% and just 1.5% in Ranked.
I have a soft spot for C2 but haven't played it in months. At least we have the time we had 😅 Maybe we will get new cards in the future that creates a new version 🤞
C3 is gonna be a serious tech card fiesta now. RIP C2 enjoyers They also specifically mentioned that they want playing one card per turn to be “more feasible”, which activates my Sandman fight or flight response
I do like the Storm change. While Storm > Legion is more natural, you've got a much bigger chance to get out ahead of it early. One big problem with War Machine is that you can't do that. Doesn't matter if you have more points early, your opponent gets a T6 to beat it. Now, it's really hard for them to have the T6 to play, so early points actually matter. It always felt terrible to be comfortably ahead on board after the Legion-Flooded play, but know you still had to retreat. It does hurt my nostalgia brain, tho. I started Snap with Sunspot > Storm > Jessica Jones > Skip > Infinaut. Storm into JJ was such a fun little sequence early on, even if it didn't keep up as we got into Series 3.
I've been absolutely loving the Misery/Thanos/Okoye mashup you posted on the highlight channel so far. I've been missing Thanos since all the changes and it was fun to get back into him and see some huge 7 and 8 power stones to drop on turn 6.
The main thing I might try now that I’d previously given up on is a Skaar big cards deck. With Zabu potentially enabling three 10-power plays and Mary no longer counter-synergistic to Skaar it seems like it could fly. Otherwise, my main Darkhawk deck takes a definite hit but not a disabling one, Storm-Legion now absolutely requires Jeff in its back pocket, and not much else changes a lot.
I found it a little odd that they claim Agent Venom decks aren't strong enough yet to need nerfing while explicitly buffing the already best tech card against it and nerfing one of the AV decks cards in Klaw right after. Also rip to any Snap newbies who won't get the chance to curve Storm into JJ anymore
I'm not the biggest fan of this OTA. Agent Venom is already a huge part of what imo are the strongest 2 decks in the game, being AV Iron Man followed by AV bounce. They drastically nerfed the two decks that were closest to providing actual competition against AV with the Storm and Rockslide nerfs, and then took a single point of power off of Klaw. Needless to say, these decks were not exactly nerfed on the same scale. Agent Venom decks basically had no changes whatsoever, so I really don't see how Agent Venom doesn't just completely dominate the meta moving forward, the way that Loki and Elsa Bloodstone did. I did notice the Shadow King nerf, but Shadow King is already a card that Agent Venom plays and benefits from, and the Agent Venom decks already can counter Shadow King through Cosmo and Mystique.
When I read the comments before watching I assumed shadow king became a 2/0. The funny thing is he would still be played often at 2/0, I can’t understand why they would buff such a strong card
@@blackspiderman4766 excuse me, a LOW usage rate? According to usage rates, he is seen around 11% of the time(21st) with a 55 WR. Definitely didn't need a buff.
Daredevil, Storm, Legion plays will be just as oppressive IMO. Now my take on the Storm+Bast list is fully dysfunctional. No more Havok on four after Storm. It’s been my favorite deck for months and now it’s gone. Guess I’ll go back to more clog and bounce lol.
As someone who plays a Zabu/Psylocke War machine deck, this storm "nerf" was a huge 3 power buff for free for me. Misery also got +1, so my deck is VERY happy with the storm nerf lol
I hate when they comment about Daredevil and not wanting to make the game longer, yet we’ve had Magik as a ubiquitous 3-drop for more than a year that extends the game as well…
I hate the storm change because like you said it doesn’t totally defeat the legion deck they nerfed her for, but it also destroys a lot of decks she was in before because a 4 cost for lockdown is too expensive for what they’re trying to do.
The Storm change doesn't really solve the issue. I don't know why I haven't seen people bring this up but literally Zabu exists as a 1-2. You play Zabu T1 Storm is now back to a 3 cost 5 power and War Machine is also now a 3 cost 6 Power card allowing the Legion lock on T5 still accessible if not probably more annoying to deal with now since Storm is now 5 power in that lane as a 3 cost
It becomes way less consistent tho, they need to draw cards in an specific order: drawing zabu by turn 2 and not having both wm and storm before turn 3 is required
@@drillygo6984 I know its not a 100% fix but the deck is still strong without the combo and is still the same issue if you hit the combo. I played a few games with it and it still seems pretty good overall
So, the Storm change may have just nuked my Small Control deck, as the only 4 cost or higher I had was Proxima and I needed ways to compete with the go big decks. I doubt Goose and US Agent is enough, but if anyone has a suggestion, I'm more than willing to hear a fix to one of my favorite decks.

C2 getting hit hard with storm and shadow king. C2 💔
Yeah I was struggling to find play with mine after the Captain America change a few months ago, and now it's just done.

They have never officially acknowledged firestar.
All this nerf does for storm is make you stop playing a card turn 6 without ramp and opponent probably didnt want to play in that lane t6 anyway
