Kizaru is in the same place where Garp was in Marineford. He will turn but what will be the catalyst for it, the dead of Vegapunk, Sentomaru or Bonney being in mortal danger, or the return of a mindless cyborg. At that point Kizaru might be move by that miracle and help them escape so that they can finally have their happy ending.
The Kizaru/Vegapunk situation actually reminded me a lot of the Garp/Ace situation during the war. The biggest difference being Kizaru's superior Saturn, isn't as understanding as Sengoku was to Garp.

With Oda ending the chapter at Foosha, could Kuma actually know Luffy has the Nika fruit, not just the Gomu Gomu no Mi? Whats dead center on the world map showing the seas and redline...? Reverse Mountain. Reverse mountain also has an X plus a line to form a STAR. So is the hidden treasure (either One Piece or Buggys he had a map for) underneath all that water being pushed to the peak so effectively impossible to reach? Probably not the first to think it. But its been on my mind lately.
I've said it before but when Luffy knocked Kizaru out and he couldn't get up. A lot of y'all were saying how weak he is or how much stronger Luffy's gotten when in reality. Just like Katakuri, Kizaru has no Will to keep fighting. This chapter is proof enough. Dude saw how much Kuma was willing to put on the line for Bonney. Spent time with them and VP and became genuine friends with them even if it was WG Orders. Kizaru is NOT weak at all. He's literally heartbroken over this Egghead fight
One detail that jumped out to me is Saturn saying Bonney would be their prisoner *until* Kuma's procedure was finished. I think it answers why Akainu said he was "alarmed" that she escaped. This means she escaped, became a super rookie (though the bounty could have been a Robin situation to make a bounty to entice her capture asap), all before Kuma had lost his free will. It makes me wonder if Bonney had been able to see her father back on Sabody, could Kuma have rebelled against the government once he knew Bonney was free, or would he still have gone through with it in an effort to protect her. This obviously would have sent the Gorosei into a panic at this outcome, but I do wonder if even that would have been enough for Kuma to leave the government before his procedure was completed. Also curious the government still wanted her captured after the Marinefore War when Kuma had his free will gone.
27 chapters till 1027! Hopefully we see a bit reveal there as if you translate the numbers into Hitsunagi, it says One Piece. We all know that Oda loves number play and the lack of a massive reveal here makes me wonder if it's coming in 27 chapters! :O
Staring at the animated panel for a while, I start to wonder about the spiny extensions on the shell of the Saturn den den mushi... Have we ever seen such a shell before? And is it a feature of the snail itself, or is it a feature of Saturn manifesting on the snail?
So i stop reading weekly at the beginning of eggtown. Is the arc over or still ongoing? I occasionally see joyboy and tekking vid pop up on my subscription list to remind me to read back up, I’ll wait until the arc over to continue
It was a nice blast from the past chapter in many ways, kept under the layer of Kuma selling the skin off his back just to save Bonney. Saturn knows what he's doing, feigning that he doesn't know exactly who Kuma is, what happened in God Valley and who Bonney's mother was. Surprises me really that his bounty was so low, considering how even knowing where a Lunarian is was worth 500 mil. But still, never letting him see Bonney again is just next level cruelty, and this Kalifa looking CP8 agent threw me off too, because at first I thought it was her but Kalifa would be Iceberg's assistant still, so sister? clone? safe face and hair syndrome? It's odd I never thought Vegapunk to be bad, but seeing him berate Saturn did show his fiber a lot, he's not Straw Hat material though, given how even with a ton of assistants carrying his ideas he was still glued to his desk, I don't think he can survive as well outside of Egghead. Kizaru is still a question mark, we've shown more of his conflict but still, inaction still thrives where Vegapunk and Sentomaru have taken action. I found it cool that Ace was the one who defeated the last warlord, it kinda parallels Luffy in a way since he defeated Crocodile and had him replaced, also Moria undervaluing Kuma matches his reaction to his appearance in Thriller Bark. Being in Foosha is curious though, does he meet Luffy before? Was he meeting Garp maybe? He's a big dude it's kinda hard to forget him I feel like either the next one or the next two will end Kuma's flashback, I don't see much else to cover at this point given how we're 3 years off the main timeline now
theory that vega called someone to inform kuma that saturn was there and would try and hurt bonney, which broke their agreement, activating a clause in his system to go to mariejoise to do something
I would like to see Kuma reunite with Bonny in present day and send the straw hats on their ship off of egg head while dealing a large blow to Saturn as a way to give him some payback for Saturn taking advantage of him possibly even self destructing next to him
Kuma thanking Bonney that she was born reminds me of when Ace died and thanked Luffy for loving him, especially with how Ace struggled to justify being born. It shows the true unconditional love they have for the the other person with the sacrifices they a willing to make.
I wonder how gecko moriah found out what exactly kuma's powers were when he apparently never left thriller bark during the years before the beginning of the story. Also why didnt he tell perona of them - she got completely surprised when she met kuma for the first time.
What if Alvida is a clone of the former warlord? No clue where we go with that tho. Also since introduced I have been waiting to see Alvida actually fight serious with her DF. smoothness as we saw with Kaliffa can be potentially lethal. If she can remove the physical mechanic of friction from a person it would be a serious handy cap.
Great artwork. :) I want so bad to just hug Kuma he's a good person put in such a terrible position, Vegapunk seems like a genuinely good person and like Franky just didn't see his work being used as it's been used. The fact Saturn and the spies threatened Bonny made me angry, part of me bets Saturn hurts Bonnie and Kuma sees it happen at Egghead and he losses it. One thing a wise man fears is the anger of a quiet and gentle man, that is kuma. Bonnie is his family and if Saturn hurts her he'll do anything and everything to prevent it or make it right. Ultimately the Gorosi seem cowardly, they hold all this power and yet they are so afraid, so afraid of losing control that they would threaten a little girl. If Kuma was anyone else he could have been a monster but he's nothing like that and how they've treated him will backfire.
Is it possible for Kizaru to sacrifice himself for Vegapunk during egghead arc? He saw all the five elders wrongdoing. He seems affected by the elder's request to kuma. I wonder what kizaru fights for.
My tinfoil theory on Bonney and the World Government is that Queen Conney and Bulldog have died, and rather than keep installing puppets that never workout or fall to pirates, it would be easier to just strongarm Bonney into holding the position to maintain their hold on that territory.
If Kuma can transfer the monumental pain that he has experienced to Saturn, he can then destroy him instead of Luffy having to thus allowing the latter more room for growth and the associated arcs(strength progression through fighting subsequent characters).
Anyone else find it weird that Saturn is the one gorosei that appears away from the holy land? Is it possible he is the weakest or the one gorosei thst the other gorisei are fine with him doing stuff.
No I just think that is because he is the Minister of Science and Defense and he is the one who should be incharge of everything related to the current arc
I was actually just thinking the bubble that bonney put her hand in and saw kumas memory what if kuma can also retake memories back just as pain that would be really interesting 🤨
yea i believe kuma and vegapunk secretly made a plan and tricked the WG and when nika returns kuma will regain his memories, im guessing he is on his way to egghead right now
Kuma could have killed the old king of Goa because of King Bekkori saying that the Grey Terminal was the blueprint of the Sorbet Kingdom with its redrawn boarders and the reason why it was alluded to the old king dying in mysterious circumstances was that he used his paw powers to remove the memories of him actually attacking the king. This attack either killed him outright or lead to him dying not too soon after.
theory, since akainu and kuma seem to have some sort of connection and our fav desk boy not showing up in the flashback yet, I think that kuma going to fusha is how akainu learns of dragon’s son and his existence. Idk i might be dumb
I think you are forgetting the fact that Saturn thinks of Kuma as a runaway slave. There was never any trust or sympathy for Kuma from celestial dragons.
1. Whitebeards nurses could have been CP8 agents as the World Goverment knows how important it was to keep the worlds strongest man alive 2. Alpha is likely a relation of Kalifia 3. Considering the real-world O-Choku was a warlord I believe that Zhi was once in the ranks of the warlords on the topic of former warlords 4. The world goverment are calling upon Kuma to deal with X-Drake 5. the warlord that Ace defeated is LV 5 inmate Roche Thomson who is actually Xebec in disguse he was sentenced to LV 5 as not to amass a strong crew in the event of a jailbreak although it happened with BB. 6. Alpha could be Kalifa's sister or mother
One thing I'm fixated on is the juxtaposition of Doffy thinking Kuma is evil, with Jinbe being ignorant and taking it at face value similarly to Doffy, while Miss All Sunday is questioning Croc. Kuma went from Rev, to TYRANT, to completely obedient? Of course "The Devil Child" would be weary of Government Propaganda. Clever play Oda, clever play.
Basically I'm saying Robin clearly sees something fishy is going on with Kuma, she of course reads all the newspapers so she knows what's going on for sure
Kuma needs to do to Saturn, what Brandon Lee did as, "The Crow" (1994), when he ended "Top Dollar (Michael Wincott)" on the Church rooftop when he grabbed him and said, **"I have something to give you; I don't want it anymore... THIRTY HOURS (Years, in Kuma's case) OF PAIN, ALL AT ONCE! ALL FOR YOU!!"**
Skip to the present where Kizaru is leaving egghead and its rubble no sign of anyone but him as he returns to the ship. Someone asks "what happened" He says Tears flowing "Nothing Happened"
I feel like Kuma had to know that he couldn't trust the WG because he defied them a couple of times to save the Straw Hats. Even though he knew there would be consequences if he disobeyed.
As soon as the Nika reveal was dropped everyone said how can it be the government never tried to kill Luffy and get its hand on it. I’ll predict they tried several times but failed only due to the Dragon and Kuma. Luffy/Nika must be his biggest hope for revelation so Dragon and Kuma would do everything to protect him. Kumas appearance in Foosha village must have been a mission from Dragon to prevent that someone else will be ordered to assassinate Luffy. Kuma met Luffy and protected him for 1,5yesrs, as he wanted to at least protect dragons son/Niks, if he couldn’t be with Bonney and no official member of the RA, but Kuma deleted Luffys memories of this time. Dragon must have had his eyes on Luffy all the time. He always looks to the east and his HQ was always in Paradise. What if he can reach Luffy with his wind powers as long as they are not separated by the red line and is even omniscient in paradise. When Luffy started his adventures Dragon was nearby. He was there just in time and only reacted when Luffy couldn’t handle it on his own. During the Goa Kingdom events Luffy was directly attacked as if it was an assassination mission. The wind canal from Dragon led perfectly to Luffy. Same happened for smoker. But he never revealed himself. There must be something to it.

I’m hoping for kuma’s arrival and sacrifice to parallel android 16’s death in the cell saga, bringing out a new overtone in luffy’s gear 5th. Kuma expelling luffy’s pain and fatigue is even an excuse for a one time use sensu bean. Additionally, I suspect jay will kill kizaru. He wasn’t listed as one of the items that must be saved. His final moment of realization could be powerful.

Reverse mountain also has an X plus a line to form a STAR.
So is the hidden treasure (either One Piece or Buggys he had a map for) underneath all that water being pushed to the peak so effectively impossible to reach?
Probably not the first to think it.
But its been on my mind lately.
15:29 Well there were three "kings" in the Shichibukai back then, right? Kuma, Mingo and Pirate Empress Boa Hancock.
Feel better bro, i think this chapter was truly important, characterization for Kuma, Kizaru, and Saturn
27 chapters till 1027! Hopefully we see a bit reveal there as if you translate the numbers into Hitsunagi, it says One Piece. We all know that Oda loves number play and the lack of a massive reveal here makes me wonder if it's coming in 27 chapters! :O
That is 1127, eh...
Staring at the animated panel for a while, I start to wonder about the spiny extensions on the shell of the Saturn den den mushi... Have we ever seen such a shell before? And is it a feature of the snail itself, or is it a feature of Saturn manifesting on the snail?
Possibly an encrypted one
It's odd
I never thought Vegapunk to be bad, but seeing him berate Saturn did show his fiber a lot, he's not Straw Hat material though, given how even with a ton of assistants carrying his ideas he was still glued to his desk, I don't think he can survive as well outside of Egghead.
He's a big dude it's kinda hard to forget him
I feel like either the next one or the next two will end Kuma's flashback, I don't see much else to cover at this point given how we're 3 years off the main timeline now
When egg head is done, I would love a cover series of s-bear and bonney traveling the world together. 😭
theory that vega called someone to inform kuma that saturn was there and would try and hurt bonney, which broke their agreement, activating a clause in his system to go to mariejoise to do something
13:01 wasn't Marco the doctor of the whitebeard pirates?
Love the return of the speed drawings this thumbnail is crazy lmao
Doesn't saturn look like a father of bege in this thumbnail😂
I would like to see Kuma reunite with Bonny in present day and send the straw hats on their ship off of egg head while dealing a large blow to Saturn as a way to give him some payback for Saturn taking advantage of him possibly even self destructing next to him
Kuma thanking Bonney that she was born reminds me of when Ace died and thanked Luffy for loving him, especially with how Ace struggled to justify being born. It shows the true unconditional love they have for the the other person with the sacrifices they a willing to make.
did anybody else notice kizaru doing the joyboy dance with kuma and bonni ?
I wonder how gecko moriah found out what exactly kuma's powers were when he apparently never left thriller bark during the years before the beginning of the story. Also why didnt he tell perona of them - she got completely surprised when she met kuma for the first time.
What if Alvida is a clone of the former warlord?
No clue where we go with that tho.
Also since introduced I have been waiting to see Alvida actually fight serious with her DF.
smoothness as we saw with Kaliffa can be potentially lethal. If she can remove the physical mechanic of friction from a person it would be a serious handy cap.
JoyBoy making so many good observations, I'm kinda wondering if he's got Haki or not
Great artwork.
Not entirely sure he would do so for Vegapunk, an delusional genius with poor ethics, but for Kuma and Bonney, I could see it happening
The white beard pirates did have an official doctor, they had Marco
Those nurses had on fishnet stockin on also!
When Jimbe said the reigning I assumed he was talking about Boa being the queen, probably just a translation error.
My tinfoil theory on Bonney and the World Government is that Queen Conney and Bulldog have died, and rather than keep installing puppets that never workout or fall to pirates, it would be easier to just strongarm Bonney into holding the position to maintain their hold on that territory.
Bro oda has been going crazy this flashback i need kuma to see Nika absolutely destroying saturn once we get back to egghead
If Kuma can transfer the monumental pain that he has experienced to Saturn, he can then destroy him instead of Luffy having to thus allowing the latter more room for growth and the associated arcs(strength progression through fighting subsequent characters).
Imagine that the warlord that Ace defeated is the man mark by flames... that will be a nice prank
Where can I get this Kuma drawing? Askin' for a friend..
That thumbnail art is FIRE 🔥🔥🔥
So happy about the return of the time lapse drawing
Anyone else find it weird that Saturn is the one gorosei that appears away from the holy land? Is it possible he is the weakest or the one gorosei thst the other gorisei are fine with him doing stuff.
probably just haven't been shown what the others are doing
No I just think that is because he is the Minister of Science and Defense and he is the one who should be incharge of everything related to the current arc
Cipher Pol and poison? Whitebeard and Roger's deaths? Was Roger inflicted with Sapphire Scale?
Now the question is if this is how/where/when Kuma learned that Luffy was Dragon's son & wields the Legendary Zoan of Nika!?
JB your thumbnails are getting out of control 😂 love it
Fun little thing I noticed: The more we lose Kuma, the less we see his eyes. They say eyes are the windows to the soul...
2023 has been the year for us OP fans
The fanart is wild
I find it interesting that Vegapunk said "re-create the future"
I was actually just thinking the bubble that bonney put her hand in and saw kumas memory what if kuma can also retake memories back just as pain that would be really interesting 🤨
yea i believe kuma and vegapunk secretly made a plan and tricked the WG and when nika returns kuma will regain his memories, im guessing he is on his way to egghead right now
@@jeffreyliu545 possibly he can even become the 10th member 🤣
No way of knowing what's Goda cooking
Maybe Kuma met Garp on GV and was looking to enlist his help
Luffy will fall accidentally in kumas memories bubble and then he will be furious and ally with blackbeard to fight the guoverment in egghead
As Kuma neared Luffy's hometown it was a great moment. We are so cloose to the beginning of the story😀
I almost teared up when I saw Kuma use Bonney's drawing of him on his ship's sails!
ranndom tought just pop to my head , possible that Vegapunk sent Kuma to Sabbody to save Straw Hats ?
theory, since akainu and kuma seem to have some sort of connection and our fav desk boy not showing up in the flashback yet, I think that kuma going to fusha is how akainu learns of dragon’s son and his existence. Idk i might be dumb
Like what if akainu shows up to check up on kuma randomly and since kuma is by foosha…
I feel like that last punch luffy hits kizaro with is a special punch that changes the admiral’s character
I think you are forgetting the fact that Saturn thinks of Kuma as a runaway slave. There was never any trust or sympathy for Kuma from celestial dragons.
Kuma overtook Bon-chan as the absolute best character of OP!
Kuma's jolly roger got me in all sorts of ways.
Why does the Kuma look like he joined chipendales; maybe he was auditioning for Magic Mike XXL?
Damn the more things goes the more i realized how Oda is pushing Dragon away. Like now the focus have been more towards the "Dawn of Nika"
1. Whitebeards nurses could have been CP8 agents as the World Goverment knows how important it was to keep the worlds strongest man alive
2. Alpha is likely a relation of Kalifia
3. Considering the real-world O-Choku was a warlord I believe that Zhi was once in the ranks of the warlords on the topic of former warlords
4. The world goverment are calling upon Kuma to deal with X-Drake
5. the warlord that Ace defeated is LV 5 inmate Roche Thomson who is actually Xebec in disguse he was sentenced to LV 5 as not to amass a strong crew in the event of a jailbreak although it happened with BB.
It's the whole thing, it's "A Pimp Named Saturn"
Maybe it was just to remind us of Koby? Just to help give a time frame when it took place?
Kuma needs to do to Saturn, what Brandon Lee did as, "The Crow" (1994), when he ended "Top Dollar (Michael Wincott)" on the Church rooftop when he grabbed him and said, **"I have something to give you; I don't want it anymore... THIRTY HOURS (Years, in Kuma's case) OF PAIN, ALL AT ONCE! ALL FOR YOU!!"**
I thought the warlord Ace defeated was Jimbe... Wasn't he a warlord back then or am I missing something?
I think one logical reason is that Kizaru's speed of light power could be a solid counter to Kuma's transportation power. So assurance in a way
😂😂 the Saturn pimping Kuma is so funny. I'm sorry😂
Kuma was heading to Luffy's home village. Did the WG knew about Luffy having the Devil Fruit they wanted and sent Kuma to kill him?
Vegapunk is only thinking about if he could, but never if he should.
guess he never watched Jurassic Park
Ginny was the commander of the east blue so I assumed that's where he would go for peace.
I actually like Moria. I feel for him, losing all of his crew broke him understandably. And going after Absalom shows he had loyalty to his new crew
Moria gang !!!!!
@@paulmorin1994 he looked awesome too pre-kaido. I think we’ll see more of him in the future
Skip to the present where Kizaru is leaving egghead and its rubble no sign of anyone but him as he returns to the ship.
Someone asks "what happened"
He says Tears flowing "Nothing Happened"
There must be something to it.
i have been thinking for weeks (sorry for bad english)
as i look at the one piece world we have 2 or 3 groups :
that follow the sun :
lunarian
the gaint
Buccaneers
skypiean
follow the moon :
Minks
Wano
neutral :
fishmen
if we look to the 3 wep ( Pluton that will be powerd wiht the moon in wano with the moon followers , the fishmen have Poseidon , the sun followers should have Uranus that will be flying ship that work with the sun power )
i think Uranus was stolen from the the old city that made the WG win the war and they still have at and they use it with vegapunk sun power that only have 1 use each time
i think there is so much more as vegapunk want to have the sun power that i have feeling it will be on laugh tale they hidden it there after losing the war so the WG dont use the weapn again
note : i think the great kngdom location was in enies lobby but the wep was used on it *it will explane a sun followers that use the sun power to be on a location that always sunny so they have power all the time
I’m hoping for kuma’s arrival and sacrifice to parallel android 16’s death in the cell saga, bringing out a new overtone in luffy’s gear 5th. Kuma expelling luffy’s pain and fatigue is even an excuse for a one time use sensu bean.
Additionally, I suspect jay will kill kizaru. He wasn’t listed as one of the items that must be saved. His final moment of realization could be powerful.
The cover art for this video has me cracking up
