Bradley is a natural born extrovert, naturally masculine man, great stage presence and a very fine actor and comedian. He also has a very fine singing voice. A man of very great talent from very ordinary origins. He is wonderful and lights up the television.
I used to have this lurking on a VHS, and probably wore the tape out replaying it. It's so funny. From what I can find about it, it was a pilot show for the US which never got commissioned. Why it was being filmed in the UK, I'm not sure. But had it gone to a series, they should have kept the opening as frantic and dangerous as that every single week. Wax that slide, it's the best host entrance of all time.
The show's based on the French show Mokshu Patamu, which was a one-season wonder in 1997. There's episodes on Dailymotion, and it's...very of its time. (French Wiki claims that the pilot was filmed in 1996 and came first, and only the French picked it up properly? Hmm. Either way, it's a fun little time capsule.)
I think I can better all of those! In the early 1990s he did a gameshow called "You Must Be Joking", in which members of the public tell jokes. One boy very nearly brought the show off air after its very first show, when he said the following: Q) What's the definition of "agony"? A) A one-armed bandit, hanging off a cliff, with itchy b^&*($%ks! Bradley's face was pricesless!
@BassEbuwa Sorry - I'm DONE uploading now. But truly, while the other bit is funny, the FIRST bit (wot I uploaded) is MEGA-funny. And, as I've said before, I figured the second bit would be an anticlimax, after the first. I know I coulda swapped them around - but then, UA-camrs have notoriously short attention spans and they might've moved on and MISSED the funniest bit!
@jaychristie909alt - Yes - but I cut it as THIS bit was better - and while funny, the second bit would have been anti-climactic. It's all in the editing...
