Yes please. helll I could even see "stealth " phases where you stalk prey before pouncing on them. Think a batman game except this batman decided to have your lungs for dinner and all your pals as dessert. All while he struggles against his instincts to kill should an innocent come by. It could be very interesting, and a great occasion for one of these too rare games that make the PLAYER feel like they ARE the boss fight as they just tear through what are augmented gangsters
@@thorveim1174 And must be free roam and maybe, just maybe an interaction with Vi and Jinx/Powder and some flashbacks And the best thing would be another voice representing Warwick's humane sense of reason I believe you see where this is going hehehe!
Warwick has very little control over himself. This is why he roams the most dangerous parts of Zaun, where only cutthroats and up-to-no-goods gather --- and therefore, the chance of hurting someone innocent and underserving is at its minimum. In his bloodlust, Warwick can't stop himself or think clearly, so confining himself to the Slums is his way of keeping the people of Zaun safe from him. So, if some poor soul happens to come to his territory when he is on the hunt, they're in great danger. Also, I don't think that Warwick cares if he lives or dies -- when he isn't following his animalistic urges, he is plagued by vague memories of his past life and relives the pain from Singed's experiments. All he knows is that he is a killer, so he tries to hunt killers only -- but he probably understands that someday, someone will kill him, which is the only way to stop him for good. I think the best Warwick can do for Ekko is to give him time to run away far enough or gather enough willpower to look for another prey -- and not because he is grateful but because, in a brief moment of lucidity, he realizes that there is no blood on Ekko's hands, he is just a kid. But I find this interaction good enough since only we know that part of Warwick's life, while Ejjo and countless other Zaunites see him as this mad and scary beast. It's tragic, but it is what makes Warwick such a great and sad character.
@@pokerface4396 We don't know exactly where this plays chronologically. I presume Warwick's lore is gonna be him regaining control of himself and coming to terms with what remains of his past. As of now, he is pure beast, no control, so i think this might be early in his character arc. Therefore, this might be a year or two before current canon, or after. Hard to gauge though, since Ekko is a teen here and going back to far makes him a kid.
This game is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing the play through, my eyes and ears had a blast. Oh man, the art, abilities, sound design, and dialogue. Perfection.
Fun fact Mad Rat Dead (which is another platform) has that exact "rewind time if you fail" mechanic. It's been around for 2 years I believe, definatly seeing an interesting pattern of "redo" that actually fits the lore instead of being a blatant videogame mechanic.
So we’ve gotten Bilgewater/Shadow Isle’s game, Piltover/Zaun game, and Demacia game. We have Freljord game coming next with Song of Nunu, here’s hoping one after that is a Pantheon game in Targon!
Not to mention, there isn't really a single good reason as to why he spares Warwick, yet the game enforces that young Ekko is the better person for it... Like what? I get that the creators wanted a cool warwick fight, i know that he's an important league figure so killing him is out of the picture, but this could have been written better.
@chriswhite9631 omg I agree so much like I'm sorry but if there's a giant beast creature trying to murder you in cold blood I don't think there would be much room to spare them. Especially because we as an audience know that Warwick was a human once and he has his nuances where he tries to only go after evil people, but Ekko doesn't know that. It would've been better if he just opts to run away like any normal person OR if you really want to create the moral dilemma of sparing him, reveal some kind of human nature about him in his voicelines. This happens in League where he remembers a bit of his past briefly and says something about it so if they did that then I could believably understand why Ekko actively spares his life here.
@@c.ccarlhead5744 Not to mention, if Warwick IS vander like everyone thinks he is- it also MAKES SENSE for him to pause and try not to hurt Ekko- he knew the kid, and whilst he wasn't as close to him as he was his own daughters, there's still those memories that haunt him. Imagine how much sadder it would've been if Warwick tells ekko himself to -RUN-, Ekko, confused at how this beast is showing such humanity- and why it's voice sounded so familiar. He starts to move, but it was too late. Fight happens, etc. And at the end- he attacks the gangster and starts to slaughter the gang, but notably- takes the fight far out enough to not go after Ekko in his bloodlust. I think that would've been a better way to handle it.
Riot don't want to spoil Warwick is Vander plot in Arcane ss2. They made this game a separate universe is a good idea. But weren't the lore in LoR is canon lore? If that so why Ekko and Jinx didn't have any connections in this game. I really really really really really really really hope to see my main character on screen.... Both Warwick and Urgot. Would be extremely cool too if we get to see Urgot during his royal executioner form.
It's the opposite, LoR is its own thing and is NOT canon. References are made in League of Legends but league already has a ton of lore written out in bios and other media that is considered contradictory to LoR. Thats why they are both their own thing.
Riot stated that LoR is a 100% canon in the past, when the game came out. If you make a statement like that, you will have to keep it, or else it will be impossible to know what new info is canon or not. Now, knowing that tons of things in LoR are impossible to be canon, I'd say we shouldn't consider it a source anymore. We just can't know which info is true or not. But to be honest, even the stories on the 100% canon Universe webpage have begun to sunk in their quality. Its not an easy time for a Runeterra lore enjoyer nowadays :D
Why does Ekko sound like Hunter from The Owl House and a little bit reminds me of Miles Morales from Spider Man: Into/Across/Beyond The Spider Verse? Also I really love the animation part in 12:08!🤨😊
Yeap, the game is great. Maybe story is not very discovers lore or super strong, but it's fine. Gameplay is fun, specially at the middle, when you get more abilities and can make tricks and combos.
The art and animation is all there, but it kinda feels like it was programmed by and indie dev. The different animations dont blend and the movement looks sluggish sometimes. Maybe im just being picky because it has riot money behind it
Complicated game idea. Warwick jinx or vi. You can play either one of the three like the old aliens versus predators versus humans game where you could play as all three stories
I wish Warwick is a good guy because he was technically the dude who raised vi and powder a.k.a (jinx) and forgot the dudes name so eh but Warwick being a good guy would make the plot more interesting and have like control Warwick to see his backstory and what happened to him when singed experimented on him
I'd pay my left kidney and my soul just for Warwick to have a solo game
