  • So for some odd reason my amp remote decided to stop giving out power. Rather than eonon telling me why it done that and helping me to fix it. They just told me to select another source. In this case it was the oem remote wire. Hope this some what boring video has helped some of you struggling for a source.

    I installed an aftermarket amp and a sub with this head unit and I was wondering why the stupid blue wire wasn't working... then I searched on your page and I should have known you'd have the answer!! Thanks man! I tapped in to the wire you said and it worked perfect!!

      @@dayv would that red wire be known as the 'ignition' wire?

    • @dayv
      @dayv  2 роки тому

      @@RandoManFPV The red wire is for the 12 volt ignition, which can be attached to the stereo. The yellow wire is the 12 volt battery wire, which should also be attached to the stereo for power.
      I believe the wire I have hooked my amp up to for 'remote on' is the cars oem wire for the oem amp that comes with the factory dynaudio system.

      @@dayv right on. Today I used the ignition red wire to connect my amp remote wire too. Seems to work good as far as turning amp on and off with head unit. But my amp is going protect mode now, could this be because I connected to the red ignition wire?
      Edit: put a multimeter on the remote wire and my amp is getting a 11.5-12 volt signal so I imagine that isn't a problem.
      The only thing plugged into amp rn is remote wire, power wire, ground wire. And amp goes protection mode soon as I turn it on any ideas?

    Hi, I hope you’re still answering questions, I have just installed an Alpine head unit, iLX-507A and it’s not making good audio, very low volume and distorts when turned up to max, while the stock old unit sounds great and goes loud without any distortion,
    I have the blue and white wire coming out the back of the Alpine not connected to anything, I do not have an aftermarket amp.
    Will connecting this blue and white wire tell the stereo to use the inbuilt amp to give me good sound or not?
    Thanks

    • @dayv
      @dayv  11 місяців тому

      No. Blue wire is for power on to an external amp. Not the one within the head unit. Maybe you have a bad earth and live connection and causing lack of power to the unit.

      @@dayv the problem turned out to be the stupid “amplifier adapter cable” that came with the Aerpro kit, the instructions don’t mention it at all, so I installed it not knowing what it is. Apparently it’s resistors which lower the output, so my speakers weren’t getting much juice through that… removed and all good.

    Hey men I just bought an android radio for my GLI 2014 and I connected everything but it's no giving any sound at all so I look in some many forums and pages and they say my oem amp it's not turning on but I don't know what's the remote of my oem amp and what also I have to connect help me please

    • @dayv
      @dayv  2 роки тому

      On your android unit there should be a blue wire that's for amp remote on. Might just be called amp rem this comes on when your car turns on. And sends a signal to your amp to ask for power. It's like a mini switch to activate a bigger switch. Try running the little blue wire to your stock amp and plug it in.

    Iv connnected mine to the yellow power. Wire on the radio as I had the same problem but problem is is power keeps draining my battery 🪫 so how do I wire a toggle switch to turn the power off n on as I need it or do you wire a wire from the remote to a piggy back amp socket in the fuse box to get it working

    • @dayv
      @dayv  Рік тому

      Could wire in a switch on the yellow. But would need to remember to switch it off everytime you get out the car. Alternatively you could piggy back off somthing that comes on with the ignition. Such as your electric windows? I wired up my dashcam piggy back off the electric windows so I didn't have to keep plugging it in everytime I drove off

    I have installed an headunit and the blue wire has low power i mean some time i have radio signal and some time no, what can i do to get 12v to the amplifier?

    • @dayv
      @dayv  5 місяців тому

      from google
      12 volts only goes to this wire when you are listening to AM/FM. If you connected your amp to this wire, it would turn off when playing a CD. Blue/White = Amp turn on. This shows 12 volts whenever the stereo is turned on, no matter what mode it is in.
      if that doesnt work, maybe you could piggy back a fuse that you know turns on with the ignition then you can run a wire from that fuse to the amp turn on. not sure how safe it would be. but id do it if it meant id have tunes.
      xD
      good luck

      Not sure. When I plugged the enonon in it smoked a bit and think it fried something, the unit worked okay apart from the blue wire not allowing me to turn the amp on
