I find it so incredibly sweet that some of the greatest, most accomplished musicians and engineers in professional music have such reverence for Jeff Porcaro nearly 30 years after his passing. It makes me humble and proud that I appreciate so much the music that he made with his Toto brothers, as well as countless other artists for the short time he was here. Thanks for sharing these tributes, Lee. You are such a class act and a good and honorable friend to him.
It’s when I stumbled on Lee’s tribute to Jeff video’d at Forest Lawn that I came to research and appreciate Jeff more fully. The more you learn about him, the more impressed one becomes. SUCH an incredible musician and man! I’ve been a Clubhouse member of Lee’s channel ever since :)
I met him in the late 80's With ToTo in Toronto we met Friday at around 3pm & We Said Goodbye Monday Morning we Hung the whole weekend I slept in Jeff's Room With Jeff & Another Dude Called Tony ,He was The one who introduced me to Jeff... The Nicest Man I Ever Met !! So Loving & Down To Earth... We talked on the phone a few times , he passed a year or 2 later.... They played 2 shows & I watched him play Backstage On his left side.... Funny how you can end up really Liking a Person after 2 days of Hanging & Mean HANGING !!!!
what a tight, supportive circle of these musicians and studios folks....some of the most talented people most of us have never heard or know very little of..thank you for this insight...
I cannot love Jeff enough... I had the pleasure of meeting him several times, and he was just such a nice person. The night I found out he died, I was on a gig and literally could not go back in to play the last set because I was outside in my car crying my eyes out listening to Toto IV. :(
Le, thank you so much for sharing these insides with me, with all of us. This is wonderful. I never had the chance to see Jeff live. I wish I had. For sure I admire his work and became a Toto fun, but only after he had passed. Sure enough I found out only later how many times I had heard him before, playing those cool drum tracks on other albums. Phenomenal. Same applies to you, sir! These insights are a blessing and tell us stories of humility rather than the “rock star stereotype”. Wonderful! Thank you!!!
LeLand I know who you are and know people who played with you. I saw you popping up on my UA-cam algorithm and commented on your first Jeff video. I thought I knew how much Jeff meant to me but maybe I was just pushing it off. Thanks brother
Since Bill produced Jeff's instructional video, I would have liked to ask him why Jeff seemed to have a problem with indigestion. Could this have been an early sign of his heart condition, or did Jeff simply have a gaseous lunch before filming? Bill is right on the mark though.......there will never be another Jeff. RIP Paisan.

I can hear the emotions in mr. Schnee’s voice. A trembling of honor and grief. You guys are real, genuine and loving.
Thank you Lee for giving us these videos honoring Jeff and thank you Bill for your deep words. R.I.P. Jeff Porcaro.

Great stuff 💚
I'm just a fan of drummers but Jeff Porcaro had his own style unlike anyone else. Precise, groovy Porcaro!
Crying is like pooping: we all do it but nobody likes to do it in front of others.
"I'm younger than his beard!" hahaha
