Because investors take projects of high returns first. When they further increase investment, the low returns projects are available results in decreased MEI

MEI mai hum expected rate of return from additional investment ki baat kar h or MEC mai expected rate of profit from extra unit of capital asset ki baat kartha h. Sir hum dono mai dekthe tho..ak tarika se investment he Ho raha hai..or dono mai expected return or profits ki he baat ho raha.. tho mara questions h ki interchangeable use ho yr differently use Ho raha hai??

Generally increasing Capital results in diminishing returns. So, if you increase the capital, MEC will fall.
Based on this, the condition of capital stock equilibrium will MEC = rate of interest.
