This is the kind of comic book content I’m here for. Just comic nerds showing off their finds and nerding out about them. Nothing like telling someone about an incredible find for a stupidly low price.
Ricky, and specifically @LettuceComics, if you are getting into the early British invasion comics, as has been mentioned, Watchmen and Sandman are must haves, but I would highly recommend adding Grant Morrisson's Animal Man, Doom Patrol and Invisibles runs along with Peter Milligan's Shade The Changing Man to that list. Those books absolutely informed my 80's and 90's comics sensibilities. And you could certainly do worse than Moore's V For Vendetta, Miracleman and From Hell. Also, for latter day brit comics, James Robinson's Starman was an absolute must read for me.
Great Line-up and fun chat. You guys jam well together. I Subscribed to HaulYeah and LettuceComics right after this. The fact that HaulYeah flashed some bronze age Son Of Satan had me all-in. I have been going down the Daimon Hellstrom rabbit hole since last year. He has fast become my favorite Marvel characters (along with his sister Satana). I have been building a long box of just Hellstrom/SOS appearances in chronological order and reading them as I get them in. His colorful and wild 70's stuff is so much fun, along with his tenure on "The Defenders" and a few other very welcome but short-lived dark groupings of occult/monster/horror hero teams (like in the great 5-Issue mini-series "Spirits Of Vengeance" (2017)). Not to mention that the Warren Ellis' 90's "Hellstorm: Prince Of Lies" run is absolutely incredible! Pure dark poetry. Also, Ricky, because you like Vampirella you should also check out Satana. She was Marvel's copy of Vampirella, but her stories are great.

So real talk? I record one of these hangouts when I’m too emotionally bankrupt to make the skits and jokey kind of videos I usually do, because they’re a nice break and allow me to hang out with new people, but with all the positive feedback I’ve been getting I think I should formalize some fun hangouts with MORE new people. As for Vampirella, Dynamite has done a bang up job at reprinting the original Warren Vampirella books. Not only will you learn about our main girl through the stories that made her what she is today, but you’ll get to read some pretty fun and wild sci fi and horror stories that make up the rest of the comics. Remember, she’s a small part of the original run so there was a lot more creativity going on there.
Oh I went up.in attic and I found two books called Laura #2 & #3 why I buy them like that I don't know but I tried reading #2 I think it is like a Archie comic but today Teen drama I'm going to reread it tomorrow lol 😆 the Annie sound broke out in my head 😅 🤣 so yeah I will reread it & let you know how it is Good or bad After all that is way we buy them to read & spread 😉 spread the (word) around.
Damn Ricky, them are some nice Virgin Vampi's i dont have any of them . I was in a store that has horrible customer service and horrible selection, but he had a bunch of Vamp and Red Sonja Virgins for 5 dollars, i scoured the bin and took them all. including some Artgerm ones that online are going for $80+
