Many years ago, when I was a regular league bowler, we had a deaf team in our league. They were cool and were a very good team. I remember them fondly to this day. I love this football team and hope the best for them!
I grew up in the 70’s in Austin Texas across the street from the Texas School for the deaf football field. I watched them play for years. They were never great but if you compared heart to wins and losses, they were incredible.
This was beyond Inspired. Those young men chose to play for this courageous team. Truly a remarkable team. And all who work with them. They have taught me a lesson about Faith and courage. Just Remarkable. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹
That's awesome I'm happy for them... I felt sorry for deaf people until I got deaf friends. I learned quickly they are just as able as anyone and more determined than most...
Thank you for showcasing the Deaf football program at the best school for deaf children in california. By the way please insert the captions or subtitles for Deaf community
This is what dreams are made of real storyline like this team deaf and (REALLY) showing with hard practice any thing can be possible.....A real inspiration to all fighting like them and so many others out there .....👌👌👌💥💥💥💥💥🙏🙏🙏🙏
You do realize that you just posted about a deaf football team without captions on the video.. making it completely inaccessible for deaf people.. Disappointing, and quite frankly, embarrassing for you. Do better please.
This is the kind of stuff I like to watch , good luck ,I wonder if the quarter back does that thing with his hands to calm down the crowd probably not necessary
What a great story! I cannot imagine how hard it is to play football deaf. Think about it. On a hearing team, the QB, can call out signals or change a play at the line - for example a QB is lined up for a running play, but sees a defensive formation that would be vulnerable to a pass - he can't tell his line to switch from run blocking to pass protection - they can't move when they are in their stance, and can't see any signal. It is similar on defense.
I do not know anything about American football but if i had to compare it with European football i would think it would be very hard to reach a top league in Europe for a deaf player. Even in full stadiums that produce a lot of noise, you can often see that players communicate with each other during play, It can be just a scream to signal when to play the ball. Or a goalkeeper screams to signal his defenders to move out of the way. I am not sure if sound has the same importance in American football as it has in European football lol...so I really would like to see the movie
@@upsidedownquarterbackcente8025 eeuuuhhh yes. I just wondered if communicating with speech in American football can be as useful as it is in football. I just said European football so Americans would understand what game I meant, because the rest of the world calls this beautiful game....Football...and for us the distinction is the word American. I cannot help that the US is the only country in the world that insists to call our sport soccer and their own American game football. I have no idea why your game is called football? they rarely touch the ball with their feet......maybe it is because they run?......I have no idea. No offense meant
@@dyantebrinke6477 no offense taken sir but you forget that you have punt you have extra points and you have field goals all bye the foot remember when American football started they didn't pass the ball so they just ran it and kicked it. In fact field goals were attempted by a dropped ball kick at that time. When you say European football it makes me think of rugby or the old NFL football league that you guys had over there
cool wanted to see people like me tear it up but i can’t understand because no freaking subtitles. if you’re gonna make videos on deaf people add subtitles so other deaf people can watch.
Congratulations have watched this team my whole life! They work hard and deserve all the press they can ! Congratulations California Indian school for the def.
@@retnavybrat Yep I know exactly what it is. I live in Riverside county and have been here my whole life . And there a network of California . Yes started and in Riverside!
It's fortunate that they can't hear the cries of agony and pain of the children that they hurt. If they did, many would not participate in the violent game. It was developed in an industrial age to teach workers that if a worker is hurt or killed, the line must keep moving and not shut down.
Children Of A Lesser God (1986). They want you to play for the deaf team. You do it for the girl of course. She provides the motivation. Thinks you play cards too much. Wonders what the hell you guys are always laughing about. Signs very fast
I seen a couple of good football games this weekend. And five out of three I watched. In the three I'm regarding. The crowd slowly started chanting "fuck Joe Biden" and these were all college games.
Well, CNN has an audience of literate, educated, non-conspiracy theory believing viewers who want FACTUAL news. Not the audience for the depraved, right-wing, rageful, demeaning, anti-American $#!+ shows designed to be propaganda for gullible fools in the right-wing "news" world. Since fiction is more entertaining than facts and since fear and rage are more easily generated that common sense and understanding, CNN's audience numbers lag behind Fox News. This is also because intelligent people on the left are busy doing critical work to keep the country running while conservatives sit and do nothing but run their mouths.
This is a rare occasion when CNN deserves a "like.
I find it very refreshing to see that people still can agree on some things, giving hope for the future.
Do more of this!!! I needed something good to happen today & seeing this...this was it!!!

This need to be a movie about this team. They are awesome.
True Champions are not solely defined by a scoreboard. These guys are Champions in life. And life is the biggest game there is.
That is how you defy All Odds and try your best to become a true inspiration🤔
They are a good team PERIOD super inspirational glad those high school kids have a great team to support 🙌🏾

If the opposing team understands sign language, they are going to know the play.
I used to play Racket Ball with three deaf friends. The arguments were very interesting! LOL!
Get it next year guys congratulations on a great season 2!!!
This is cool! ^^
Silent snap count is deadly to the defense. They can never get in the rhythm of the offense. Congrats kids!
Congratulations 👏
Hell of a crowd. They're new to 8 man football, they'll be good for a very long time.
Their Deafness doesn't define them.
We scrimmaged a deft team once they use drums to get the snap off.
(Insert Meme) Not gonna lie.. they had us the first half....
Hats off boys!🔥
What a great story.. too bad it's not accessible for Deaf or H/H people . There are no captions available or ASL insert?
THEY JUST WENT 3PEAT!!!!
I suppose they don't have any substantial disadvantage so it's only fair they play with everybody else.
And they do. And they WIN!
THEY never had a BASEBALL team because they said it was to DANGEROUS?
I wonder why they need to be seregated from non deaf players though? Surely theres a few players with hearing loss in the NFL

Other than being called for jumping offsides 273 times in the first half, they’re actually not bad..
Feel better now?
I bet you are glad there is the internet. If there was not, your life would be irrelevant.

and I do not even like American football
I want to send this video to a deaf friend of mine, but it’s not captioned.

Yes the field is smaller Sidelines AR not as far as part
