Surefire and Streamlight outsource their material from china and other countries non america. What they do is assemble them here only. I have a hard time believing that even those 2 popular brands are 100% made here in the US.
Streamlight is an American company, qc is done here, but the products are Chinese. Some streamlights are assembled here but not a ton of them. Surefire is 100% designed and made here.
To each his own.. i can understand that if you are normally exposed to situations where you'd need the brand name, quality product to do you right then yeah grab the authentic. But I can also understand that some just want that nice looking light for show without spending so much for it as long as it functions the way it should. Or maybe buy both and keep the fake on you daily, but have the authentic in case someone wants to call you out for it 😂
I do have real surefire x300 on my duty self-defense pistols for obvious reasons... But for my range, only guns, I buy cheap fake ones and use them with the authentic surefire mounting kit to use it with my Blackhawk Omnivore holster for a surefire X300 light. That way, I have one holster for all my guns at the range. Don't really care about the light output. Mainly for weight and holster use.
Can you weigh them both and post the difference? Id rather buy the cheap one for holster compatability and only need it for muzzle flip plus if it works with 90% of the lumens etc, great.
Due to so many counterfeits being out there, I purchased mine from a reputable company like Primary Arms. There were several sold cheaper on eBay, but no way was I going to chance that.
They do and it is sad. They order them from. China and post pictures telling people they have a surefire light. I feel sorry for the people that get ripped off
Too reiterate what you said and this is IMPORTANT, the fake has a battery button protruding as you stated. Where this is a HUGE issue is fitted kydex holsters like a safariland for a duty belt. When you go to holster your weapon it will 100% of the time push that battery button compartment open as it catches the holster.
I bought a replica and I'm really satisfied. The original costs 2 times more than my gun... If you aren't a policeman or a soldier 400 bucks for a spotlight it's way too much
@@TerryBentonAs you said, the real problem is the misuse of the logo and product name. Counterfeiting remains a dishonest act that causes enormous economic and image damage to a company that pays taxes in the United States, conducts quality control, and pays fair wages to its employees. My replica does not have the Surefire logo, but it does say X300u on the side...
@dioschifo that is a complete different story. You are not representing it to be something it is not. You just simply needed a light so you bought one thst was affordable and meets your needs. Thabjs for the follow up.
Haha people are retarded for paying as much as a gun for a flash light lol the counterfeit and legit one still come from the same place lol no it’s not made in USA like they claim just a company here selling them expensive af lol counterfeit does the same job
Buying a fake trijicon SRO right now for $30 Much better then $600 And all my research says they hold zero and basic function is decent because of the copied homework If the design works it works regardless of the ultra premium materials
I found myself suspicious of my purchase of an X300 on ebay, but your concise and thorough checklist confirmed that my light was authentic. TY!
That is awesome. I am glad I could help someone
The counterfeit is actually made according to the old 600lm x300u model.
Nice. Good eye

Surefire supposedly does not. That has what I have read everywhere. I am assuming that is what the extra cost is. I may be wrong. Thabks for watching

Right
At that point whats even the point of getting the cheap just use the real one

That is guess is a good reason to buy a less expensive one. Thank you for watching

I will do that. I actually gave the fake one away but I can see if I can borrow it back
@TerryBenton Thank you I appreciate it

It would help to show 2 of the same models side by side, talking about weight is pointless to the guy that doesnt have both to compare
This is true
I will take the fake all day long for 37 bucks lol!
No you would not
