    I was looking for video clearly explaining Hashing Trick and this one looked promising. Unfortunately it only explains it partially because it doesn't completely show how to put values into new matrix. It ends right about at the moment comparing matrix before and after leaving viewer with question: "Where is this 2 or 3 in new matrix coming from?"

      Even I have the same question.. Where is 2 and 3 coming from? Is it like 1+1?

      @@chd9841 yeah. this looks so arbitrary. i think it destroyed a lot of the helpful information in the data. im not sure if i want to use this technique to reduce dimension.

    the 2s and 3s in the final matrix means collision is unavoidable. Embedding the whole sentence makes more sense here unless you are ok with collision
