FINALLY someone demoed this incredible flanger! I owned this guy for years; used it live and on recordings. It was unpredictable in a fun way. Sometimes the sweep would freeze then unfreeze while using it live and would take things on a ride lol! Mine had a volume boost which was great. Always dug vintage DOD. This pedal paired well with an 80s Deluxe Memory Man and loads of fuzz & OD; was such a great board. Inevitably, I sold it like a dumb person. The only flanger that can do this vowel like flanging (that I could find) is the Arion SFL-1 Stereo Flanger (high depth, fdbk, manual). But I still miss this flanger every damn day.

I have a DOD 401 Phasor that is a copy of an MXR Phase 90, and a couple of DOD 490 Phasors that seem to basically be the same but with an added 'Regen' control that can take them from Phase into faux Uni-Vibe territory. They all sound incredible. With DOD making a brand comeback recently, I have been hoping they might reissue the 490 with better components. Biggest problem is the noise floor, they all introduce a level of hiss that was probably acceptable in the early 80s.
