Great video series! As New England fishermen, do you use the cold water fly line all year long or do you switch to the tropical fly line when the water temps get warm?

      Great question! Cold works year-round
At the temp peak of our season if your line gets tacky that is the clue to swap. It rarely happens but it is something to keep an eye on.

Im having a hard time deciding what fly line core to get for winter florida and possibly a bit of bahamas in febuary. Should I go with the tropical line for these applications or would i be better suited with a soft core?

🌴 🤔 there are many colors of fly lines out now , I fish saltwater all the time do you think fly line color scares fish or should it be color matched to the color of the water in the area , it seems that the color is more fore keeping track of the direction of the fish after a hook up like with a tarpon .

Color can certainly be seen by fish in some situations, especially fish that are taking the fly from underneath. You'll see some brands doing clear heads on specific fly lines to combat that.
