I found that my 1,565 day run streak was great for building base/ maintaining fitness, but was mentally restrictive for doing speed work, long runs, or running just for fun. My runs following the streak were like a breath of fresh air. Enjoy the streak! Winter is a good time for them.
You can barely even call that a streak (jk) I have a physically demanding job and find similar (albeit only on 2-4 runs per week). Strength and speed work are barely doable without effects. Running during time off, I feel like a different person.
Epic! While I'm not a fan of heights, I am a huge fan of the views! So cool that you were able to experience that, it had to be a thrill. Continued good luck on your training!
Really enjoyed this one - since I live reasonably close to where you were in CO. I've been trying to attend one of the Monday night group runs; haven't yet but hope to eventually. Maybe I'll volunteer for those upcoming CO races!
I've been looking for some footage of the reservoir! Hoping to train there a ton this spring/summer. Red Rock Canyon is such a good training spot too. Thanks for the high quality footage/storytelling as always.
@@runsteepgethigh Basically POV video that is slowed down or sped up to match your treadmill speed and auto inclines the treadmill so what you see on screen matches where you are on course and elevation profile. Seems like their next step is to work with races to offer virtual options.
It's a snowy year for sure; I haven't attempted going into the rampart res area since last fall lol. I'm sure you can get updates from the Aravaipa Colorado staff :)
Great video. Love Colorado Springs
Literally hanging around for the next upload. Love the videos.
The Royal Gorge is Gorgeous! Thanks for all that Sweet Drone Footage, Jam-Jam!
Good to see you smile again enjoying the outdoors. Great footage.
Great video Jamil thanks.
Great Video!
Amazing views. Thanks for the vertigo. I could never be a climber LOL.
Looks like an amazing race location - the bucket list just keeps going.......

It's looking lovely out there in Colorado! Would be high up on my list if I ever moved back to the States.
Awesome video !! I need to come out and run an Aravaipa ultra in Colorado !!
Ah I would love to be able to run like that again. Sadly some thyroid issues messed up my health. Hoping to get back next year!

Oh my gosh! If I wasnt 4000 miles away you could sign me up to any run there today ❤️ WHAT views and what a place to have lodges and a skywalk 🙂

The Royal Gorge 55k will be my first official ultra. This video got me really excited.
run steep get high, cribs edition for a while there.
Ever consider recording sections of aravaipa races for tools like Kinomap? Offer the ability for people to train virtually on actual courses.
Haven’t heard of it

Fantastic Jamil! 🐐 Side question, how do you avoid Achilles strains?
How do you source the music-like at about 4 min. In?
Epidemic sound
I'm from teller, what's the snow contingency looking like for the rampart res event? I never call it until June 1.
