Thanks for this detailed review!! I just purchased 2 Soundlink Flex Gen 2 for $238 on Bose's website. Sweet Black Friday deal! There's additional 10% discount if you are a new member and sign up on their site. Can't wait to try these speakers out 😁
I also went with the 2 Soundlink Flex speakers. I actually have the original Flex from a couple years ago and I just bought a second compatible original Flex last weekend. They sound great together. I also learned not to pair them with the app, but use the sequence of pushbutton controls to link them in Stereo Mode.
I have the Bose max and many other speakers. If you put the eq of the Max as +4 on the bass and +4 on the highs and leave the mid a 0, it sounds so much better
Have you tried playing them through different genres like rock and roll and Pop?. I yet to try the bose soundlink flex 2 for the first time. But, I have several speakers that pair up pretty good and complete close enough to the Boses..................
The Soundlink Max definitely is a speaker that requires EQ settings as it has a total of 5 speakers inside (with a designated tweeter) Flat EQ will make this speaker sound a bit recessed and smooth. The flex is more of a plug and play style. The addition of the EQ makes a difference in the mids and treble only. Bass is the same.
yes soundlink flex sound better on stereo because they are separate speaker. If the soundlink max driver would like of that smart home speaker 500 it would be great but the drawback it is not battery operated uses with a wall outlet..i had these soundlink max and soundlink flex gen 2, but nothing beats the sound of the Bose homespeaker 500.
have the S1 Pro and the Soundlink Max too. If we compare it to the bass, they have a deep and similar bass. I don't think that the Flex together work better than the Max.
Another question has now launched the second generation Flex, can you tell me if the first generation has the same power as the second generation? Thank you very much, I look forward to your reply!
I think it is very annoying that the Flex 1 won’t pair with the Max. I have 2 of them but you need the Flex 2 to work.. why? Virtually the same speaker.
Thank you for making this review. I'm asking you, I usually travel and I would like a speaker to connect to my notebook and make nice sound to watch movies. What do you recommend? And if you were able to try Klipsch Nashville. Regards.
Hello, I'm blind and I really like a good sound! I have Soundlink Flex, would it be more interesting to buy another Flex to have a stereo sound or do you think it's cooler to buy Soundlink Max, which one has the loudest and louder sound?
@@er404 I use a screen reader that is on the iPhone is called, voiceover give a search on UA-cam that will see how it works it says everything that is on the screen is very cool
Hi, I am also blind and I own 2 Flex speakers and just got a soundlink Max 2 weeks ago so maybe I can help. I think 2 Flex speakers paired sound awesome but for me, not quite enough bass. So when I heard about the Max I wanted to get one hoping it would be loud enough and have nice punchy bass and for me, it didn’t disappoint. I am very happy with it. For its size I think its really great the sound that comes out of it. Ya for the money you probably could get something louder but it would be a lot bigger. For me, the soundlink Max is a brilliant speaker for its portability and the sound it pumps out. I would recommend it. I have owned most of Boses speakers over last 10, 11 years. From the soundlink 3, the mini, the colour, the micro, the revolve and revolve plus, 2 bose flex speakers and now the Max and with out a doubt the max is far superior. I love it. Its what Ive been waiting for for years from bose. Hope this helps 👍🏻
@@BlindGuy39 Hello, nice to know! Well, I saw that there are other speakers like the Sonos Move 2 $450 Bang & Olufsen Beolit20 $599 But both seem heavy, and since I live in Brazil they are very expensive here, they exceed R$5000 Go to me would be new speakers, I've also had the Bose portable dock sistem, Bose portable Home speaker. The first one I mentioned was a show but it didn't have Bluetooth and became obsolete for the new phones, the second was another show a wonderful dream but it wasn't stereo and it was a horror so much that mine burned the battery I fixed it was a fortune, so I decided to buy the Flex! But I want something with more impotence presence! That's my doubt! But certainly your opinion was very useful to me, I will seriously think about acquiring Max! Thank you very much for sharing! Just one more question, when it comes to portability, do you think it's easy to keep taking it back and forth, how do I do it with Flex? Because sometimes I go out by boat, I go to the beach, the pool, friends' house and I like to take it here and there, but you can't take a heavy monster, right? You understand me!
I both owned the flex 1 and the max. The max is just a crap when the volume is low. You will need to adjust the EQ everytime you change the music genre you are playing. Planning to buy flex 2, after i sold my max.
@@NewStuffTV2 My cousin bought the Bose max recently and I've got the Xtreme 4. We compared the two on all possible ways. And it's just like you said... Xtreme 4 all the way, man. Cheers!
I would not advise anyone to purchase two of those speakers for stereo pairing. Even though they may sound good, $600 to $800.00 is ridiculous when you could get an entire 7.1.4 home theater for that much.

Very true
What do you think about
+6 Bass +4 Mid and +5 Treble on the Soundlink Max. It’s been my sweet spot for a balanced sound.
@@chike_Kezmy preference is plus4 bass, plus5 for the mids and plus6 for treble. I think it works best for most genres of music. Give it a try 👍🏻

Nice review but u did not do any sound review on the (JVC) with other Bluetooth speakers 😊 as u did today
Can you do a video of JBL Go 4 vs Ultimate Ears Miniroll?
Gracias por este video, me resultó muy útil.
I thought that was the JBL Xtreme 4,but you said Xtreme 3 at the start of the video while holding the Xtreme 4
Yeah, oops hahaa
