@@terryweatherbee8564 The show was alright!! I don't dislike any of the actors!! It's not how I want to imagine the 1%er life style!! Kurt Sutter modeled the show after Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Jax Teller represents Hamlet, struggling with the legacy of his father’s death and the corruption within his “kingdom,” which in this case is SAMCRO. Clay Morrow parallels King Claudius, who takes over after the death of Jax's father, while Gemma is similar to Queen Gertrude, both protective and manipulative. The themes of betrayal, revenge, loyalty, and the moral dilemmas faced by the characters mirror Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, creating a modern-day retelling in the world of outlaw bikers.
I would have handled business if my father was killed. F my uncle he would have met his maker long time ago for killing my father. My moms for enabling my uncle would of got disowned for sure. No Soliioquy needed just ready set go and find my uncle in honor of my father. No soap opera needed..
Opie was definitely my favorite character on Sons of Anarchy. His loyalty and sacrifices for the club were unforgettable. But I gotta mention Chibs and Tig too- Tig was just straight-up crazy , but he was real. he was so loyal to clay I can’t leave out Jax. I even named my son Jaxson because of him! Jax’s struggle with leadership and trying to do right by his family really stood out. SOA was such a perfect mix of loyalty, chaos, and brotherhood.

In my crazy years As a bartender and rider myself at a place in Western NY. I remember many times had I had a bar full of Outlaws and The Coven MC clubs show up and hang for hours drinking and drugging and making plans to travel to our local MC Hill Climb the following day. With hours of drinking it would sometimes end in scores being settled. With the area having several clubs within hours of each other. These 2 groups were always foes and friends. Don't much know about 40 yrs later but I never had any trouble with any of these groups knowing that at any moment it could explode. Opie was the most relatable to me personally. Loved SAMCRO...

One element of SOA I always appreciated from a pure entertainment standpoint was, at least once and often more every episode has a genuine “laugh out loud” moment of dialogue. Yes, the show had its violence and drama but for some of us who have an eccentric idea on how to get a laugh… it was a subtle comedy of sorts.

As one of only two white boys allowed to sell 420 in Calaveras on the Rez, I can tell you they got it wrong with them being bikers. I "learned" a lot about MC culture from that show, how real life is what i learned, i dunno, but it was definitely interesting and seemed believable, upto a point when the constant violence became a little too dramatic... like a batman movie, ok villain after villain shows up... i found that part was more for the drama...
SOA, great show. My favorite was Opie. He was always there to help and be a club member. Something I would have liked to see more is interest in their bikes. They never talked about their bikes, working on the bikes, customizing, handling roadside repairs. Maybe that’s not interesting enough to keep us on the edge of our seats.
Currently looking for new wheels for the next year. Hayabusa to [Undecided on Low Rider ST or Road Glide.] Favorite Character is Jax, it was a tragedy about Opie and Halfsacks untimely ends. Also, as others said it's a modern retelling of Hamlet, I started watching it again, and it puts some more things in perspective as things unfold.
@DemonsRow damn man. I have been in both kind. And so much happier now. I'm in a MO that helps kids. And we have strong bonds. It is family. Love my brothers.
i am a fan and personally my favorite character was Opie. I felt he showed the struggle a person can have between 2 things he cares about, and what it can do to you.
I would only echo Joseph Wambaugh, ex-police officer and author of "The Onion Field", with his statement on "Hill Street Blues": "It's only twenty-five percent accurate, but it's a one hundred percent good show." I never asked "SoA" to be a true-to-life depiction of an outlaw MC, aside from riding actual Harley-Davidsons - give me a damn good story and all else is forgiven.
Hey Sose, I was hoping you'd cover Sons of Anarchy. Obviously the series is a work of fiction but as you said, there are certain aspects of the show that are true to life thanks to ex-patch members of the Hells Angels and the Mongols amongst the extras and guest stars (not to mention former HA David Labrava serving as technical advisor and played Sons member Happy Lowman as a recurring character for the first 6 seasons and a regular character in the final). Also, my impression on this show after the end of the series finale was that Kurt Sutter wanted to show how Shakespearean themes and narratives can work in a gangland setting (I'd dubbed it Kurt Sutter's informal Doctorate dissertation on Shakespeare in crime shows since he's already got a Masters in Fine Arts). Charlie Hunnam, who played Jax, recognized that Sons is Hamlet on Harleys during the audition (William Shakespeare is still big in the UK centuries after his death) and satisfied Kurt alot to have him cast as his 1%er biker version of Danish Prince Hamlet on the show.
Sose, you liked the comment regarding Hamlet, but have you ever read it or at least watched the Mel Gibson movie? It makes the show make a lot more sense in how everything really plays out. Why each character acted the way they did, died how they did, it all makes so much more sense to me now. Its just characterized by bikers. I can't stop thinking about. I think that makes the show such a work of genius. Maybe you should do a colab with Dr. Lucy Worsley! That would be the most epic colab for a nerd like me. She's a British Historical expert who focuses on the Tudor period (Henry VIII era) and that was also when Shakespeare was alive. He got much of his inspiration from the royals of the day. Having her guide you through Hamlet while you guide her through the 1%er lifestyle would be an amazing series!
I really liked the show Sons of Anarchy, I have to say my favorite character was Tig in a lot of ways he was the comic relief. Something bad always happened to him every season that would make me laugh, but yeah I always watched it as a show to be entertained. I love motorcycles and dirt bikes, but never thought about joining a motorcycle club.
I was hanging around a support club who got involved with the Outlaws & Warlocks wars in Florida. The warlocks ended up losing their President, getting gunned down. SOA is real out here in certain parts of the world.
Sons of Anarchy is what got me into Clubs to begin with. It gave me another perspective outside of the law enforcement way of viewing them as “outlaw motorcycle gangs”.
Things that reminded us that it was a TV show: The name "Charming," most acters had straight white teeth, Jax's accent made him sound like he went to an east coast Ivy League college. And of course, the fact they killed people every week and nobody got busted for murder.
I enjoyed SOA, looked forward to the next show. Somethings were a little over the top but it was entertaining. Happy was my favorite. I think I would do the smiley faces too.
Chibbs was my favorite, also pretty fond of Bobby Gemma was just ridiculous. I honestly wish she wasn't on the show, or at least was toned down a lot. Every time she'd do some crazy shit it was just like "here we go again, she's gonna talk tough, do what she wants, fuck it up, and maybe sort of apologize and... everyone's gonna just act like it never happened." And a lot of it was just so she wouldn't have to drive a few hours to see her grandkids!
Sose, In very few instances were SAMCRO characters especially core members portrayed as one dimensional thugs. Dude, I hate to disagree but take Opie’s case, very real and believable character trajectory. Treachery vs loyalty, family vs club, code of conduct/responsibility vs personal integrity. From many of your stories I listen to from old school 1%ers, some of this rolls straight down those lines. As always big respect Sose for having the sack to put this out there for discussion on your platform and giving true insight from your own experience #Ghostin
When the show first came out I refused to watch it. I was like…. Here we go. A show that’s going to make all of us bikers look bad. I watched season 1 2 years later and I was hooked. My favorite character will always be Tig. He’s just the right amount of creepy and crazy.
SOA has hurt bikers but also sparked an enthusiasm for riding. I have always been and always will be an independent rider. I have seen fear in people's face because they think every biker is like SOA. I have also seen little kids think I'm cool because of the show. I just tell everyone I ride on weekends and nice days to and from work. I also tell them my favorite thing I love being is a grandpa
Im not in an MC, but i do know a guy who was a member of the chosen few here in texas, he told me sons was accurate for the way they showed the order of meetings, or jumping people for cuttin them off in traffic, but at the end it was just a tv show, ....
I grew up in Florida in the 1980s and 90s as a kid with family patches in clubs I won't name... Watching SOA was like reliving parts of my childhood lol some awesome some kinda terrifying to look back on
Thank you for doing this one Sose. I STILL love that show and I don't, as a rule, watch tv or movies (it takes up too much time.) Tig and Chibs were my favorite, and Opie. Juice never seemed to be able to catch a break. Tig's "love interest" towards the end was, um, interesting. Hated the ending, everyone dying. Curious- was it really necessary, or had Sutter run out of ideas? I'm leaning towards the latter. Anyway thank you again Sose, appreciate what you do. I gotta make a psa especially for other women- if you don't carry or shoot you'd better learn last week. Your safety is your responsibility, no one else's. We don't call the police. (unless it's a blacked-out-drunk 6'5" naked neighbor in the middle of bfe and who's bellowing at me and heading for our unpacked and loaded 556. Then, law enforcement is only a half- hour away.) Protect yourself. This country is in some serious deep shit. Stay safe and God bless y'all.
I want to know how future is about Abel that got a biker president ring in last season if there are any future seasons of Sons of Anarchy with grown up Abel as a official Hang Around?
Sup sose, Yea, i liked, but i do agree with you, the 2 things that bothered me , we have sum scruples. Jax got away with a few things that wouldnt float with what i know of. We have a code not even the prez can break, and killing of his mother is a little out there. My favorate charecter was Nero. Jimmy played a good part. Jax put him thru sum shit. 1 last thing . There is know way jemma would not be a shot caller. That shit dont happen.. Thanks bro. Good vid. Be safe my brother.
I love SOA, it show that crazy lifestyle also biker community is soo tight &. family is one big thing,, SOA has amazing... I have such a big respect for the community and all the clubs &. riders

Great vid, could you do another one looking at Mayans MC?
I will good idea
@@DemonsRow We Ghosting Baby 🫡
Chibs was my favorite. But no one can deny that Tig was a close second. That dude was wild and down for the club
somethin was goin on in london ont the other day i saw about 200 HA flyin somewhere fast
Currently looking for new wheels for the next year. Hayabusa to [Undecided on Low Rider ST or Road Glide.]
Favorite Character is Jax, it was a tragedy about Opie and Halfsacks untimely ends. Also, as others said it's a modern retelling of Hamlet, I started watching it again, and it puts some more things in perspective as things unfold.
I wish they would have spent more time on the brotherhood . It was few and far between. The old lady involvement was also overblown. Good shit Sose
a lot of clubs lack the brotherhood
@DemonsRow damn man. I have been in both kind. And so much happier now. I'm in a MO that helps kids. And we have strong bonds. It is family. Love my brothers.
Great show, happy was my favorite
My favorite character was definitely my boy Happy 😊 straight demon
Same here
i am a fan and personally my favorite character was Opie. I felt he showed the struggle a person can have between 2 things he cares about, and what it can do to you.
I'm sitting here right now working on Broken Saints: Miami Charter, a Sons of Anarchy/Mayans literary spinoff. I can use this vid for research. 👍
Thats awesome.
Watching replay now 👍
Enjoy your day 💖
You too precious
I would only echo Joseph Wambaugh, ex-police officer and author of "The Onion Field", with his statement on "Hill Street Blues": "It's only twenty-five percent accurate, but it's a one hundred percent good show." I never asked "SoA" to be a true-to-life depiction of an outlaw MC, aside from riding actual Harley-Davidsons - give me a damn good story and all else is forgiven.
I love the history brother
Thank you brother
Its a hyper realistic romanticization of MC culture from the 90’s & 2000’s. It gets most things right about the culture.
Charlie Hunnam, who played Jax, recognized that Sons is Hamlet on Harleys during the audition (William Shakespeare is still big in the UK centuries after his death) and satisfied Kurt alot to have him cast as his 1%er biker version of Danish Prince Hamlet on the show.
you went really in depth great commentary
“Happy” is my favorite character
Jacks & OP were my favorite characters.
I think you’re right, there is a lot of fantasy and a lot of truth in Sons of Anarchy.
I never saw one episode sose😅but thank gods storm you there❤😊
appreciate you lol
I never saw a patch holder wear tennis shoes while riding or getting in a cage wearing his colors
Tara and Jax is perhaps the only romance story worse than Twilight.
Tara was so damn annoying
Wen Jax clipped his mom, i was like "yup, that's madddd OD right there." Great show tho
Great video and breakdown
Thanks trav
My only wish is that 1% help protect the communities their club houses are in. Great vid
The only ones who did that were the Italian mafia for the most part. You came into their neighborhood and acted the fool, FAFO is what ya got.
thank you
THE GRIM BASTARDS MC was absolutely amazing on SOA.
lol yes
I really liked the show Sons of Anarchy, I have to say my favorite character was Tig in a lot of ways he was the comic relief. Something bad always happened to him every season that would make me laugh, but yeah I always watched it as a show to be entertained. I love motorcycles and dirt bikes, but never thought about joining a motorcycle club.
Jax and Oppie are my favorites in the show
I was hanging around a support club who got involved with the Outlaws & Warlocks wars in Florida. The warlocks ended up losing their President, getting gunned down. SOA is real out here in certain parts of the world.
Sons of Anarchy is what got me into Clubs to begin with. It gave me another perspective outside of the law enforcement way of viewing them as “outlaw motorcycle gangs”.
Clay Morrow's my favorite, for sure. Much love to you man from Russia, love your vids!🔥
Much love appreciate you
Things that reminded us that it was a TV show: The name "Charming," most acters had straight white teeth, Jax's accent made him sound like he went to an east coast Ivy League college. And of course, the fact they killed people every week and nobody got busted for murder.
*Chibs was the best character, after Jax*
I enjoyed SOA, looked forward to the next show. Somethings were a little over the top but it was entertaining. Happy was my favorite. I think I would do the smiley faces too.
Chibbs was my favorite, also pretty fond of Bobby
Gemma was just ridiculous. I honestly wish she wasn't on the show, or at least was toned down a lot. Every time she'd do some crazy shit it was just like "here we go again, she's gonna talk tough, do what she wants, fuck it up, and maybe sort of apologize and... everyone's gonna just act like it never happened." And a lot of it was just so she wouldn't have to drive a few hours to see her grandkids!
what kind of bikes are shown at 6:22 theres like 6 in a garage with checkered flooring. sick looking machines.
As always big respect Sose for having the sack to put this out there for discussion on your platform and giving true insight from your own experience

Def brother #ghostin
When the show first came out I refused to watch it. I was like…. Here we go. A show that’s going to make all of us bikers look bad. I watched season 1 2 years later and I was hooked. My favorite character will always be Tig. He’s just the right amount of creepy and crazy.
I love the Sons. Pipe was my favorite. I cried my eyes out when he died.
So many great characters it's hard to pick a favorite. But I love Jackie boy!
Loved the show. Opie was a great character, but I just loved Happy and how he was played and interacted throughout.
Happy was my favorite character. Considering he was a real life hells angel member at one point
Watching SOA was like reliving parts of my childhood lol some awesome some kinda terrifying to look back on
This makes me want to watch this now.
It was Opie but when he was offed Chibbs was that man.
God I miss SOA, was the best show on TV. I re-watch the series often
Thank you for doing this one Sose. I STILL love that show and I don't, as a rule, watch tv or movies (it takes up too much time.)
Tig and Chibs were my favorite, and Opie.
This country is in some deep shhh
I liked it. Like you said not everything was 100% accurate to the life, but they had to Hollywood it up. My favorite was Opie.
Everybody is a 1%er till they are doing life without parole.
1% of 1%ers are doing life
It depends on where, what, and when. On how intense the vibes are. But yeah it’s close just not an everyday thing, it’s war but on a different level.
I F-ING love that show and watched it 3X all the way through. Opie All Day & Happy.
Tigg was one of my favorites. He was a nut and loyal
the writer said he adapted Hamlet, so his mom is supposed to be a queen
jax was playin chill will so there basically 81
@@DemonsRow Yeah I heard the same thing about Sutter using the story of Hamlet. He used 81 to tell that story and called them samcro.
I want to know how future is about Abel that got a biker president ring in last season if there are any future seasons of Sons of Anarchy with grown up Abel as a official Hang Around?
i heard their coming out with a new one with abel as the lead
Hey bro, just watched a movie yesterday called homefront and they have a great biker scene at the beginning, whole movie is great 👍🏻👌🏻❤️🇬🇧
i gotta check it out
Sup sose,
Yea, i liked, but i do agree with you, the 2 things that bothered me , we have sum scruples.
Thanks brother
I love SOA, it show that crazy lifestyle also biker community is soo tight &. family is one big thing,, SOA has amazing... I have such a big respect for the community and all the clubs &. riders
Otto and Opie were my favorite characters
Montreal hells Angels and rock machine.
truth
Loved it knew it wasnt 100% how it works but know kurt knew his stuff when writing it so included some real stuff. And best character for me was a mix between happy and chibbs
Good info
Going out with the intention to commit a felony with your cut on is a nono, caging up your colors is a nono.
