Good job boys, did you think about welding two big hinges to the front and just making it flip forward like a Ute canopy? You could just put two chains so it holds its own weight and sits upright? Or weld hinges and have removable pins so you could still take it off whenever you wanted? Just a thought
You can get a type of sikaflex to glue the panels to the frame and do away with pop rivets.Need to grind the bars where you place the sheets .Only reason for this is because a mate used to build raceway trailers
Should throw some slide in hinges on the front so you can open the top when required without having to remove it. Couple gas struts to hold it up. Also some under canopy LED strips. I installed them under a XR8 canopy and was so helpful at night, even in a lit up area. Good little mod, cheats for sharing.
Great build gents. One suggestion would be to weld those sandwich plates on the inside to the frame as its only as strong as the acrylic. Even tacks so you don't spoil the acrylic.
Next year probably hinges on the front and struts to hold the hatch up or move the jockey wheel and stack the wheels on the drawbar, but fantastic work guys and good luck
Cool video boys as usual. Personally I would of done exactly something similar except I would of hinged the front end of clam shell with long enough gas struts to lift and support it high enough so you can access stuff front of trailer from either side. It's will get old quickly having to take the whole shell off every time to access stuff.
Future reference!!!! Should place a foam/thin rubber seal between the trailer and the Jew cover! But that’s just being pedantic! Good water and dust seal at the same time! Champion effort boyz!!! 👌
Nice trailer extension. I'd lov any feedback on how this build went. Did you get any vibration from the panelling you installed. Wherever you are at Drag Challenge, good luck and safe driving. ✌️ Peace.
Top work! Heaps of critics on here but let's see their trailer lid. Can i suggest a front hinge so that the cover tilts open instead of lift off? Thanks for the vid boys.
Don’t want to be a nanny but hanging the welding gun on the ultra pressurized argon tank is a bad idea. He probably won’t or couldn’t, weld a hole and comprise it and it explodes but it’s potentially possible.
you should hinges on the front and gas struts to make it like a ute hard lid

What happened with the cortina?

For what its worth, you dont need to remove the blue coating on that rhs, its designed to be weldable....tig maybe not ideal but mig is golden 👌
I Am a Fan Of Composite Panel...Well done guy's...
Hackshop trailers 🤙

How convenient for me, I have sign board that I need to cut! I had no idea, my jigsaw was coming out, thanks Nath
We'll done on the backing up pass today. We're skipping Portland in the Trackhawk, so see you again back at the Bend.
Cool trailer guys, have to put some signage on it.
Put a roof rack on it to carry swags etc etc. Utilise all space as you have now created more space for yourselves.
Well that explains all the cars with trailers i saw in town today ( MtGambier)
Good luck with drag challenge boys can't wait for the videos
Nathan welding in slow-mo 😍
Looks good guys. I’d have made the entire frame hinge up on gas struts to give you full access to everything nice and easy.
Hinge on the front and some gas struts and it would be awesome
Hackshop Trailers.. Towing your load since 2019..

Should of painted the trailer frame black Especially where you did the welds to prevent rust
I like your bus 🚌
Pura Milk want their crates back…
They’re sending some “boys” around to get them back 😅
Loved the Ronny Coleman catch phrase, and a bit of stepbrothers dialogue to boot 😂
A trailer with a front flap/door is so helpful in getting stuff out from either end. You guys have the skills to modify the trailer for sure.
This is exactly what I've been searching for! This content is gold! - "Challenges are the stepping stones to self-discovery."
Booger weld. 😂......
Have fun on your roadtrip.
I think you will be modifying it a few times after each drag and drive.
Geez boys I’m a bit disappointed Nath. Didn’t paint the frame work.😂
You guys looked good on the road through bridgewater yesterday, can't wait to see the results of drag challenge
The boiz are looking good out there,,half way home 🎉best of luck 👍🛞🔥🛞🔥🍻🍻
and put some stickers on it
There’s not enough trailer vids on YT. Well done
good job boys but being like a box it will tow like a brick lol
It's lowline compared to our 7x5 with 3 foot cage & full pvc vinyl cover.
Cool trailer, when does the full episode come out?
Great job on the trailer boys!

For next time you should fit boat trailer spare wheel carriers to the front of the trailer
Pop the rivet a second time. No need to wiggle it. Or buy a better rivet gun 😅
Looks like you’re off to a good start-the ford is hooting along 💨
Pythagorean theorem, it's obvious, like titanium, Inconel and carbon fiber. 🤕now my head hurts!
Each time you do a Drab Challenge, you'll learn something new and made the next one just that little bit easier.
Going to leak . Should have Domed the roof. Made the frame go on the outside of the trailer. Made it so the whole roof would hinged.
Strippers AND body builders 😂
As normal awesome works lads!
