We begin on the Hebrides Islands ,an archipelago off the Western Coast of Scotland. It's supposed to be the sunniest place and also the windiest place. Fun Fact: it's windy everywhere in Scotland. Sheep outnumber
the inhabitants. We meet up with Alister McClean. He was born here. He has never left.
We meet the ornithologist Laura who spends the summer living on a deserted island. Her best friend is a location tracker.
Emma O'Shea is a mountaineer, plucky and tireless. Today she and her faithful friend Moth are taking part in a famous mountain run through the CairngormsNational Park - which is pretty much smack dab in the middle of Scotland, in the Highlands. Awesome.

A really wonderful place. I've watched with great pleasure. To understand the local accent is a challenge but it's a good opportunity to experience English in its diversity. I can imagine that a week vacation there would be a great therapy when you live in the hustle of a city .

Lots of city slickers only dream of this but can't get enough courage to change into this life for sometime
The local inhabitants who lead a tough life surviving with so little yet so happy n dont ever want to go away to some other comfy life, teaches such a beautiful lesson, life full of happiness n good spirits n great health

@@stuartcochrane4004 To me, castles are generally associated with dragons ( that's the general consensus)...and Scotland has a lot of castles. Ever watched Shrek, Dungeons and Dragons, or Lord of the Rings? That's why whenever I see castles, I imagine dragons 👍

Shetland is a lot windier than the Hebrides.
MacLean is pronounced like mac-layn
the Munros aren't a singular mountain range or geophysical location.. they're merely an arbitrary and scattered collection of mountains over 3000ft first cataloged by a guy named Munro, Yes it's easy to get lost on any particular Munro and it's particular area.. but you can't be ''IN the Munros'' in the same way you can be ''in the Cairngorms'' or ''in the Cuillins''.. and it's just Oban.. it's not an Irish surname, there's nowhere called O' Ban in Scotland, the ''o'' is just like any other word starting with a hard ''o'', like open.. over.. oatcakes and oldsmobile.

It would be nice if you were to pronounce Scotland as scot (as in cot) land and not scawt. Scat is animal deposit and we take offence to such mispronunciation. Gaelic (the language) is pronounced as Ghallic in Scotland. It is pronounced as Gaylic in Southern Ireland only. The two languages are not the same - merely similar. Mclean and MacLean are both pronounced the same as Shirley McLaine. It is not spoken as Macleen. That is used for cleaning your teeth only. Skua is pronounced Skewaa as in stew. Surely you could have got a Scots person to do the narration and avoid all these mis pronunciations? Apart from these points you did a good job in portraying the country!

Unfortunately so many documentaries about Scotland are let down by lazy pronunciation. As you say, it’s best to ask a local how to pronounce a name, as you would do in any other country.
Have to intervene here and say you didn't have to watch....
Wouldn't you just be grateful that someone put the effort and time into showcasing this beautiful place..
