Kyo is quite the opposite of other vocalists. Every time he fucks up his chords he just finds a new(and usually more harmful) vocal technique to add to his arsenal.
One reason Kyo tends to slur his words is because he has a thick Kyoto accent. He slurs his words when he does cleans and speaks as well, it's just less noticeable if you don't speak/understand Japanese.
Also during the really fast paced vocal parts, like in Zan where sometimes he can't actuallykeep up with himself and ends up slurring words and missing out letters. Very noticeable on the b-side live recording of ASOM when kyo just goes "I rape y-uuuuarargh".
Nah, listen more carefully and he's saying it in that way he's always done it: Yu-a~ Sounds distorted though cause he's rushing it and he's probably really tired etc.
They are, indeed. So why do you say they can be just yelling around? I think the Marrow of a Bone is really energetic based album.. That's why Kyo is acting such crazy.. But if you take a look on older song like Vinushka or Red Soil, you can listen the lyrics clearly. That's my opinion.
