I truly love river and think he’s an incredible artist, but for me I felt like Napom won this battle no question. Totally agree that he captured the winner’s energy. He was the only one to actually make river seem nervous, and for me he brought energy that was unparalleled by any other competitor.
But then again out of the two he’s the one who repeats his beatboxing, granted it’s their styles but yeah out of the two napom repeats his lip roll but other than that it’s pretty even

Everything about Nape at 4:53 reminds me of the old days. The gestures, the hat, the MASSIVE liproll drop, and most of all, the energy. Napom is the GOAT. If anyone has followed his journey from 2013 until now, you will understand why I say that. He creates magical sounds, super difficult techniques and crazy energy. It can be said that he is a genius. He never stops fighting, maybe that's why many people find him boring. But if you listen and analyze carefully, you will see that Napom is an unlimited creator. In addition to his huge titles, he left behind many works that are imprinted in our minds, such as musical hits. Even though he had a moment when he got drunk and said bad things. But he still leaves us with respect, an eternal motive.

@MainIsMain River's first round was a mess. Loads of unique sounds ,but it was borring. It was of pitch and was very chaotic. First round goes to Napom and he messed up maybr 30sec of the 2nd round🤷🏽♂️
Anything I could say about who should have won this is all a matter of preference. Both have remarkable skills that I couldn't even imagine trying to perform, and in their own ways, they're both absolute champions. I do have preference to River's style of beatbox, but D Low makes some great points that NaPoM had the energy and experience of performance that got the crowd going. I can't imagine what it would have been like hearing it live in studio, or where I would have honestly put my vote if I was there. I can't wait to see what the next GBB will be like. Observing the current wildcards along with noticing that none of the top 3 beatboxers of this championship have backed out...GBB 23 was on another level, but I have a feeling that GBB 24 will desTROY it.
Honestly Napom not winning this battle really confused me. I think there was no question he should have won this, and the fact that he didn't makes it difficult for me to understand what the other judges were looking for in a BATTLE setting.
how about not telling bad jokes and then leading into a bad drop in the last 30 seconds of your final round in the final battle? That'd probably be something I'd see as a reason to deduct major points as a judge.
@AJE1111 I'm sure that's the judges reasoning, and I do agree with you. However I think Napom wins round 1 and then clearly beats River with the first 60 seconds of his second round, while River did nothing to match Napoms battle energy or confidence and was overall not very pleasing to listen to (of course just my own opinion). I think Napom did the joke because he felt the win was already in the bag, and I honestly agree with him that it was. He had nothing left to prove in this battle at that point. All respect and congrats to River, though. He is an incredible beatboxer. However, I will say I preferred his material in GBB21 much more to this year and felt he deserved to win that year over Colaps.
i couldn't make a decision on both Napom semifinal nor this one. I was split. River had sweet harmony and musicality. Napom had the battle energy and the best counters. Wing and River were both tight, technical and versatile. Where Wing made a mistake was trying to out Napom, Napom. In the end that was a huge mistake that cost him the round despite everything. But River brought so much heat. I couldn't imagine how hard this choice was. I watched it before coming here and I could not imagine how many little sounds you could hear live from both. Those tiny complexities from River in the end would have won my vote as well as his confidence in staying to his own style. A smart decision to try and not be a better Napom but to be a better River. Wing lost because of that little nuance on a split decision. And I believe this is what allowed River to succeed. He did the best River he could do.
I would vote for River in this battle, as River really shows lots of new never seen technique and great composition in both rounds, while Napom's round didn't show much evolve in his style (very powerful and effective in battle, still), and the structure's kinda off. So it's close but I'll give it to River overall.
There’s been a lot of people bashing River for some reason, not in these comments but mainly on shorts or Instagram and it’s kinda sad. They both deserved a win at the end of the day and they’re both super talented, they put their heart and soul into these rounds for us to listen to.
napom's round 1 is for sure one of, if not THE, highlight of the solo category for me this year. for the whole battle i can see how river won it. his 2nd round was pretty hardcore, meanwhile napom fell a bit off. all 4 rounds are worth for a final though.
At the winners ceremony when people were shouting dlowwww I realised how much of a meme that chant is and how difficult it must've been to not break character as the hand raiser 😂
Complete napom victory for me BUT i don't know the grading and stuff like Dlow. I appreciate you explaining this battle because i was so confused and annoyed. I love napom and i want to see another big W under his belt, the mans a BEAST
i dont do beatbox but i follow it closely. this feels a lot like when you battle in the final vs toma. toma captured the stage. at that point i always felt like he could have won but i occasionally watch it back from time to time then i realize you are way more technical and always willing to try something new and then also realize toma just reuse some of the stuff he did in other competition. you very well deserved to be a the winner.
I mean river didn’t bring in new stuff either. River had used the same stuff at vokal total (i mean he used the the same rounds) and his first round was just a showcase. Its not repetition by both of them, its their styles. None the less, both of them killed it though my vote went for napom. First round - napom Second round - tie for me
Yeah His second round did have some stuff from the last gbb but your stuff is still old if you’ve used it in your battles before. But I guess to each their own opinions.
I wish all the judges were like you. I mean some betboxers forget that the major winning factor in a battle is actually to battle and napom gives that every time. This final was a major rob to napom, cause I believe he deserved it. River is a beast but in this battle he just showcased his skills without showing any battle energy.
Because River became 2nd last gbb he had to win this one no matter what lol. This pattern has repeated itself many times. Judges just don't want to make artist get 2 second places in a row :c
Hey Dan I need a favour from you. Me & lot of your fans need to know that is there any chance of you being comeback as a participant of GBB 2024 or in upcoming future GBB? We all want to see you again in competitive beatbox platform & win it. Because you are a beast legend in beatbox community. Please let us know 🙏❤️
napom in that moment was litterally fighting with new age , it was like a young lion vs a old king lion , he gave his best in that firey battle feild where arrows are getting fired at napom and hes using all he got. it all started from fbb to many events to gbb23 end , no one can do what he has done , all the old school beatboxers are retired while napom is still using all his mental energy , it must be tiring , his spirit cant be matched , we got to see brucelee in his prime. also did anyone noticed that his presence was similar to alem , the way alem's chest is always up , to show his dominance and power napom body language was really similar to alem , it just shows that we need something more than beatbox to win
As someone who doesnt know much nor how it is scored, from an outsider view i feel their round 1's were on a much lower level but NapoM's round 1 was slightly better. However round 2's were amazing and extremely close, i feel River's was the tiniest bit better hence how he got the win, i feel all Napom needed to do was do a slightly better unique new energetic bassy drop after his gene line instead and that would of been enough for him to win imo.
River definitely pulled ahead for me, to me he kept his composure and hadn't made many mistakes and his cleanliness is unmatched. I love napom but him tending to lean more towards the freestyle side of things means sometimes his beats can be a little bit muddy. His style of battling may be a little more fun (outside of some of the little one liners, the damn daniel thing was pretty cringey to me lol), Rivers cleanliness ends up being better in battles. Both of them pull off crazy crazy combo's but to make those combo's as clean as river is insane.
I feel like there shouldn't be more than 1 judge from the same country next time, beatbox is very diverse and having judges from different countries who all have different perspectives and styles makes it so that the battle will be judged on a more diverse palette.
@@iHyper77bruh stop defending your idol that's why you're not the judges....after he threw that joke the drop after that is really bad and he really waste his time and he really repeating his sound and his structure is not even good compare to river so it's clearly river deserved to win

@@ajescoyeah thats about it
@@cloverghoul6337Well I totally disagree with you
@@dustabeatbox571 I disagree with you disagreeing with him
River's development as a musician into slower, melodic beats built around arpeggios and lip osculation is sounding pretty reminiscent of Gene
one of the most intense finals
Amazing
the bunch of trolls just screaming "Dloowwwwww" 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
rien de plus satisfaisant que de voir toutes ces larmes dans les comms :D
i couldn't make a decision on both Napom semifinal nor this one.
Finally a comment not saying "River sucks!! Napom should have won!!!111 😭😭😭"
I would vote for River in this battle, as River really shows lots of new never seen technique and great composition in both rounds, while Napom's round didn't show much evolve in his style (very powerful and effective in battle, still), and the structure's kinda off. So it's close but I'll give it to River overall.
River's bbx was beautiful but powerful. This is why River has won
12:26 bro pretty much got it instantly
Like... Ewww. What a counter dlow 😂
It's really amazing
Dlow is the gbb23 champ
Was really shocked that judges picked river
At the winners ceremony when people were shouting dlowwww I realised how much of a meme that chant is and how difficult it must've been to not break character as the hand raiser 😂
i like napom in final mode ! its like something beast
Its the epitomy of the monsterish battle between dlow and codfish. Huge legendary battle
I just want to see Dan perform once in the battles. I love his energy so much 😭😭
This final is crazy
Was it only me that thought some of rivers sounds here were unpleasant like rivers voice changes in the second round ?
dude tries to be musical but his voice pitches sucks
Probably not but I did not find it unpleasant
because brother cant sing in a falsetto
@@klimatsabeltand4780 you're actually just wrong lmao
@@Fritz9672 ok you’ve never listened to a coir.
River had better structure and brought more new stuff + innovation. I can see the 3-2.
I mean river didn’t bring in new stuff either. River had used the same stuff at vokal total (i mean he used the the same rounds) and his first round was just a showcase.
Its not repetition by both of them, its their styles. None the less, both of them killed it though my vote went for napom.
First round - napom
Second round - tie for me
@@uzairahmad7493 New to the gbb stage that is. Napom literally recycled stuff from last gbb.
Yeah His second round did have some stuff from the last gbb but your stuff is still old if you’ve used it in your battles before.
But I guess to each their own opinions.
Love you fam I swear to God I didn't watch the actual video, I waited for you.
Thats not a good thing
I cant help but be super disappointed he didn't suprise us with a wildcard for gbb24 🥺
Agreed, Napom comes out battle king....
Much love, D-Low✌️🫶
Hey DLow! When are we going to see Kotcha again ? Tag Team title is pending!
Please let us know 🙏❤️
I absolutely see why napom didnt win tbh. Everyone saying he should and in some ways i agree but i completely see why it was river.
let's be honest, half those people are Americans who wanted an American to win.
Thank you D-low!!!!
Really shows the bias from the judges, other than Dan ofc. Napom won that for sure.
I cant find the comment to like it, but Dlow please 😭 i better see a wildcard in the next 72 hours
Napom should be 2016 GBB Champions, still can't forgot that he lost to Kenny Urban with decent routine😂
napom in that moment was litterally fighting with new age , it was like a young lion vs a old king lion , he gave his best in that firey battle feild where arrows are getting fired at napom and hes using all he got. it all started from fbb to many events to gbb23 end , no one can do what he has done , all the old school beatboxers are retired while napom is still using all his mental energy , it must be tiring , his spirit cant be matched , we got to see brucelee in his prime.
also did anyone noticed that his presence was similar to alem , the way alem's chest is always up , to show his dominance and power napom body language was really similar to alem , it just shows that we need something more than beatbox to win
We want your battles bro compete this year 😢
PLEASE MAN YOU NEED TO COMPETE IN THE SOME GBB IN THE COMING YEARS .
I have the exact same thinking about this one, it was napom for me but congrats to river
Dont worry boys napom is qualified for the gbb 25!!
Here’s to hoping he gets the second title, he deserves it for sure
D-low you really need to react ramed gbb24 waildcard please you really need to see he's technical beatbox like my comment
I just want Dlow to compete so we get a clear winner
River definitely pulled ahead for me, to me he kept his composure and hadn't made many mistakes and his cleanliness is unmatched. I love napom but him tending to lean more towards the freestyle side of things means sometimes his beats can be a little bit muddy. His style of battling may be a little more fun (outside of some of the little one liners, the damn daniel thing was pretty cringey to me lol), Rivers cleanliness ends up being better in battles. Both of them pull off crazy crazy combo's but to make those combo's as clean as river is insane.
Relaxing sic music😅😅😅
Why D-low doesn't Participate in Beatbox Battle World Championship & GBB anymore?
I feel like there shouldn't be more than 1 judge from the same country next time, beatbox is very diverse and having judges from different countries who all have different perspectives and styles makes it so that the battle will be judged on a more diverse palette.
I NEED to see why napom didnt win...
Coz he F'ed up the last 15sec
@@Johnnyy042hey ohma

@@iHyper77bruh stop defending your idol that's why you're not the judges....after he threw that joke the drop after that is really bad and he really waste his time and he really repeating his sound and his structure is not even good compare to river so it's clearly river deserved to win

2 french judges and the result was 3-2 to river ( 2 of the votes from those 2 french judges) !!!!!!!
DO A 2024 WILDCARD BRO PLEASE
Уже вроде поздно
While I think this battle was incredibly close, I think NaPoM blundered it at the end with over 20 seconds of jokes that didn’t land and an underwhelming beat as the finale. If it wasn’t for the last part of the second round I definitely agree that NaPoM should’ve won, but because of the blunder River totally deserved it. Phenomenal performance from both of course, absolute legends 🔥
Absolutely agree, it’s was so close, river was coming with everything and napom was matching and showing some different stuff then it kinda fumbled at the end with the silly stuff but still good. River deserved the win
napom didn't need that 20 sec to win cuz he already won the second round
intro beat was fire as fuck
NapoM always dominate when it comes to lows and subs frequencies imo, his grooves are amazing also
