I don't agree that NaPom didn't show something new in 2nd round, that routine on 12:21 I never heard he did that even though it's a liproll routine, even D-low said it was a very hard thing to do considering performing it as well on stage, being under pressure and adrenaline. Yeah River definitely took inspiration from guys like Gene, it's fine. He's very clean with it and improve it made it his own style. On the other side, NaPom, you are hearing a style he created(not the sound, he didn't invent liproll, he mastered it) and still improves up to this day, he's suffering too much because of his success.
Hi everyone, first of all, I want to point out that I'm French, and despite that, I think Napom won, and I'll tell you why. Firstly, the first round of River is indeed very complex and contains far too many details, which, in my opinion, significantly reduces its effectiveness, whereas Napom's first round is, on the contrary, extremely effective and enjoyable. As for the second round, Napom's response makes all the difference. Yes, let's not forget that this is the Grand Beatbox BATTLE. The keyword here is BATTLE, and I feel like over time, you've forgotten that. It seems like it's become the Grand Beatbox Showcase for a while now. I love River, Colaps, Footboxg, but if I'm not mistaken, They won with rounds prepared from start to finish without making a single counter, and I find that so sad. Please note, I'm not questioning their talent, but rather the direction beatboxing is heading in. We can even see it in your reaction, you say the counter is good but not enough, so why would beatboxers take risks to counter? It's a lot for them to come with completely prepared rounds. If you agree with my observation, I hope you'll share it because I think it's really important.
I 100% agree with this. Hopefully with the likes of ice, osis, remix etc coming through we can get back to the classic battles like we used to with napom, alem, dlow etc. I'm hoping this year there is more battle energy and I'm sorry to say I don't want to see rivers style again on this stage, his style is now designed for concerts rather than the battle stage and that's a big compliment btw. River brought the battle energy through his 2nd round entirely but Napom lost 20 seconds to make a joke about Gene (that didn't work) and finished his 2nd round with a weak dry kick drop, while repeating the same style on both rounds... River was incredible and also powerful so I really dont understand... Its ok to have a different opinion but Alem opinion is not just because he is french...

Other than that I thought he played it flawlessly, bringing in that musicality in round 1 with his energy, technical ability and quality of sounds that was in there the whole way. Ultimately that last 20 seconds and Rivers astonishing round 2 swings it personally, but most importantly it was an exceptional and entertaining final, one of the better gbb finals in my opinion but that's a whole other argument for the internet to have.

Do you know if the rumor that Napom and river had an agreement about splitting the cash before the round is true or not? Either way… What a great final battle… River gets the win he finally deserved, Napom shows how relevant he still is and how masterful he his with battle techniques.
Napom won regardless of losing 20 seconds. People gotta stop saying Nalom does old stuff. They all do. It's just that Napom been in this game way longer he created most of these flows. They are all coping with him at some point. Rivers round 1 was trash even some sounds were off not clean with low energy.. This is a final a Battle. Napom had the energy 🔋 the deep bass and he actually sounded clean. Rivers 2 turn was better but still he lost the battle. Can't come in soft and then get tough you already lost. Horrible decision. Gbb is getting soft
Very interesting point about Napom spent too much time trying to follow what River did when he could have brought out something more unique for the final. Felt like Napom won originally because of the battle energy throughout but the more I hear River's second round and how clean and hype it was I can see why he won.
So basically, what alem is saying is: New techniques (that doesnt really hit) > old beats remixed with new stuff (that absolutely hits) Even if alem says it’s his opinion, there is bias. If it was any beatboxer, musicality vs power, alem would always go with the power battle style.
For me this battle was one of the closest, both showed things that they did not show during the tournament. Personally, I knew River's first routine, and part of the second, even so they were spectacular, I don't feel there were mistakes, a more musical first round and a more technical and battle-like second. As for Napom, he also showed things that were not seen in previous battles, although we also all know his specialty with liprolls, the first round with a more musical beginning but then he turns it into something more shocking, and then a second round with a response to the second round of River, personally I thought it was a very good response, and a very good round, although the ending, around the last 20 seconds, were not my favorite at all, although his reference to Gene was funny, I feel that They were just words and did not influence the beatbox at all, and the closing was not the best. If I had to decide this battle, it would be for those last seconds of the Napom round, because otherwise I feel like it was very close, and I'm really glad, it had a lot of final vibes. For me, River won it, although if Napom won it it wouldn't seem crazy to me. Another thing I want to say is that I hope people value these beatboxers and do not make meaningless criticism, then they cry when these beatboxers walk away from the battles, and a good part of it is thanks to that part of the community that only says stup1d things.
I agree with you on the first place controlling the energy in this battle. However I think the battle is closer than you did. If Napom didn’t spend so much time on his joke in the second round and had a stronger drop after it, I think he could have won. The thing with river’s rounds this year across many competitions is that they feel like they’re barely working, like they’re so challenging that river struggles to get them out, which often can mean the hardest parts don’t sound very strong, the notes are kind of shaky. I think this is how pacmax beat him at world champs. Napom is just so strong and brings so much energy and crowd control, and I think with both of his rounds captured and redirected the energy river was bringing. D-low said the decision was 3-2, and with a better ending I think napom would have won. I am glad river won, and now in 2024 napom will make for a very interesting competition.
Hello Alem , what word did you say on 10:19 , it's sounds like "echo" , what a word? I from Russia and this word sounds very similar to russian "ещё" (meaning in eng - "more")!
Okay, now after few months I see what played a really big role, my opinion of course) With the originility of River, Napom had a better attitude, energy in the room, confidence. But a little bit lack of respect to the opponent, and this "two times" gestures, yes. You are right Alem :) Anyways, perfect tournament from Napom! A little bit of work, get some improvements from Napom and destroy the stage again and get second title 😎
exactly its a beatbox BATTLE this isn't a performance, the counter, the stage presence, the choice in sounds hit on stage more the rivers, napom won this.
@@grim_bbx2241 structure wise i give it to river, battle wise its gotta be napom, also some of the judges like dlow also gave it to napom for the same reason.
I can clearly see why Napom wasnt the winner in this battle. This is kinda simmilar to River vs Momimaru. Both napom and momimaru have a crazy technics and their own style, but when you sound kinda same round by round its becomming boring. Espessually when you are in the final. I think the only unusual thing Napom did in this final is 2nd round counter. Yeah it was crazy, but its more like he was prepared for this ending, cuz its not the 1st time River perform that round. He did almost the same against Max at Vocal Total. And the robbery thing from drunk Napom is just cringe...
I sometimes dont like rivers round 2 singing tune its hard to do, but not necessarily good to listen so i prefer more lip roll bases so for me also it was napoms win
Napom didn't need the last 20 seconds to win because of what he showed before. In the first round, Napom played much better than River. In the second round, both were level. We cannot spend 20s at the end of the match evaluating the entire process. Napom using old habits is an incorrect opinion, they haven't watched Napom enough. I see Napom constantly innovating on his technique. Napom's mistake was participating in too many competitions, making everyone too familiar, leading to boredom. I played beatbox for 16 years and witnessed many robberies at beatbox tournaments. Napom robbed GBB16 and GBB23 is true. Listen to the majority opinion, it reflects the majority feeling of people.
You said a lot of times in the video river reached to the final 2 times. Don't forget napom did the same thing too when he was against kenny urban in 2016 and a year later in 2017 won the gbb. So this is actually Napom's third time on the GBB's final.
French bias coming strong. River was competing in a talent show but Napom was competing in a battle. Also, Napom invented the lip-roll, in my opinion Napom using the lip-roll is all originality because that's HIS technique. If everyone starts using arpeggios like River's -which seems to be the new trend coming- are we going to say River's being unoriginal because he's the one that popularized it? Again, I think French bias is strong in the community.
Idk why most people take the side of the beatboxer who's from the same country with them. It is the same case with Alem too. I'm sure if we had much variety in judge panel, NaPom would've won the GBB24. There are many deep analysis methods and using all shows even the difference is tiny, NaPom got the both rounds with small advantage. No disrespect to Alem, I love him as an artist and love his content but this video is a great example why SwissBeatbox should choose judges very carefuly, not just choose winner beatboxers.
This is a beatbox competition more than just a "battle", just because you had the battle energy and answered your opponent well that doesn't automatically grant you the win. The people who claimed Napom was robbed only looked at the surface level, instead of trying to understand what truly makes real champion.
I still believe Nepom should have won it,river did something new for sure bet it was not that good beats to hear.....Alem is true that napom should have done something new...
River is well structured and difficulty wise with the new tech combos than Napom. And napom recyling his beats since 2016-2024 with adding some freestyle.
For me Napom narrowly edged out river. I’m still not a huge fan of the way battles are going, it being more sets than battles. River second round was but more battle style but it felt a little disconnected, like less convincing structure. Napoms power and battle style throughout is more my preference. Narrow win for Napom, but not unhappy with the outcome. River is so clean and technical.
I think everybody knows the real BATTLE winner is Napom, but does it matter? maybe for us the fans, but for napom it didnt matter cause he proved himself and what he can do, his incredible freestyle ability, his power and energy, he needed the prize to fix his chipped tooth, but besides that, i think Napom didnt care about the winner title, cuz he always will be a winner in our souls. and one more sad thing is that 1st place got so many thingz, not only the money, but a jacket, rc505MK2 with a DPA Mic, thats too much..
But it is, napom was true, river repeat same staff from frist and second round, using show go tech and wawad bass wheres the originality? And thats a deferent riproll tech from first round, dont compare it with napom riproll from other compotition, yes he use riproll from 2014. As a pro u should only judge what happen now like the first and the second round
1st : Please in the comment , PRIVATE thing has to stay PRIVATE ..so real name or shit like this , even if you know the guy has to stay unknown . Just for on-line security matter. 2sd : mY OPINION about champion on the BeatBox Set is : It has to be a artist who give something new in every round . The final champion is in the final because he has done some new trick before the final .... Napom has been selected by Only D-Low ( he said that Napom was more in battle stage attitude , and more powerful , but when he step back a lilltle he could change his vote for River because of the new stuff value and overall control) And i think that Alem pointed well the fact that "the 2 times " thing , the multiple times Gin references ( the sign of copycating beat of Gin in the first round ) , costed him credibility . Because he could win the battle easily if he was sit in the control chair like River was . When your are that good , you can win by starting . River has more Value in his victory because he has to start the Final .And like i said before , he had already prepared thing before the battle IN CASE ! River has controlled this GBB with a classy attitude ! And that's a fact But we love the dirty battle YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH ! See you next GBB krkkrkr OLHAHA
Yeah let's be true we should never allowed someone on the same group(beatbox house) to be a judges because their will be vote for his friend no matter what....
ITS A BATTLE NOT PERFORMANCE. Napom was more interesting and not to take from River but River was way to slow paced. Not battle energy. Not only this but D-low, chezame, sxin, and others said napom wins because of his BATTLE energy. It’s not because we are American but because we know there was bias from the French judges/contestants. Look at all the French on rivers side while he makes his speech. Again River did amazing but for battle, napom should’ve won.
Who cares if he bring something new? It is the battle and the crowd that matters… it’s not showcase battle… It’s a battle and in battle attitude Napom won big time. River was good, but less battle
Napom took it alemm more battler in the 2 rounds also he answerd river in the first round with musical and in the second round with the incrrdible counter
For me he was far more less technical and musical in the first round and in the seconde round he had one good drop but with liprolls and it can sound boring with a failed joke and a weak last drop
You have to stay constant on the way you judge like... You are really big on the battle attitude, you always emphasis on rounds answers and crowd energy. Yourself is really big on that, on the stage and as a judge. Yet on this battle its not the same. I wonder why? You say you want something different from napom, after the first round ... when he answeard river at his own musical style, and did a better job musically (not technically, but musically definetely did). So where is the sincerity? If we want to refer to difficulty and skill and technicality, DLow is the best on the planet. And he voted Napom. So big minus for the beatbox community.
River is the winner of the talent show. Napom was the winner of the BATTLE.

Felt like Napom won originally because of the battle energy throughout but the more I hear River's second round and how clean and hype it was I can see why he won.
So basically, what alem is saying is:
New techniques (that doesnt really hit) > old beats remixed with new stuff (that absolutely hits)
Even if alem says it’s his opinion, there is bias. If it was any beatboxer, musicality vs power, alem would always go with the power battle style.
Love how you added the (doesn't really hit) to River's new techniques like your opinion is the objective truth lmao
@@Fritz9672 you can hear it from the crowd though? and even if it "does hit", it "not as" hard as napom's
oh and also, The thing with river's second round, his main drop at 12:12 is literally the same drop from colaps vs inertia at 6:09 lol
This was the one of the best battles of the gbb history
Napom and river same touch, but i think is ok, at least they are not punch, of course like abo ice😂
I don’t entirely get it. If River’s “new” techniques is NaPoM’s “old”, that doesn’t reflect as well on River.
Agree 💯
But I would vote for Napom.
River the crazy inventor, Napom the adaption king!
I agree with the judges. They know more than I do. I'm just here for the spectacle and talent that's beyond my comprehension
Hello Alem , what word did you say on 10:19 , it's sounds like "echo" , what a word? I from Russia and this word sounds very similar to russian "ещё" (meaning in eng - "more")!
10:19 He showed again a new technique
@@sashakrec7580 lol
I'll get used to the accent, however
9:15 he imitated beat colaps is that ok? idk much about beatbox. but I know it looks like
ALEM is the winner of 14:50
Really surprised the French guy picked the French guy to win…..
😂😂😂👌🏻
Exactly!!! 😂
ALEM you are the best❤🔥🔥🔥
Okay, now after few months I see what played a really big role, my opinion of course)
With the originility of River, Napom had a better attitude, energy in the room, confidence. But a little bit lack of respect to the opponent, and this "two times" gestures, yes. You are right Alem :)
Anyways, perfect tournament from Napom! A little bit of work, get some improvements from Napom and destroy the stage again and get second title 😎
Sometimes better not answer the opponent, if to much u will lost focus, just start with strong beat and dont ever end your round with low energy
Yes Alem you are the first person i agree with for the 1st round
River won, this isn't a hype battle its a beatbox battle and River is just in another league imo and earned his title as Champion.
Hype gets to person who performed best on stage
exactly its a beatbox BATTLE this isn't a performance, the counter, the stage presence, the choice in sounds hit on stage more the rivers, napom won this.
@@grim_bbx2241 structure wise i give it to river, battle wise its gotta be napom, also some of the judges like dlow also gave it to napom for the same reason.
Napom deserved the championship.
This battle was insane 😮😮😮
That gesture from Napom at 3:45, he is telling that the style is copied, from Gene eventually. Why that didn’t matter?
The style is not copied, it’s not because 2 vibes come close that one beatboxer copied another
I can clearly see why Napom wasnt the winner in this battle. And the robbery thing from drunk Napom is just cringe...
idk about boring but it sounds good but for river it's complicated yes but the sounds r not so pleasant to hear
And why alem said river is very original but napom literal sign the copy/bite thing
Napom is deserved unfortunately they do injustice him 🖤
You said a lot of times in the video river reached to the final 2 times. Don't forget napom did the same thing too when he was against kenny urban in 2016 and a year later in 2017 won the gbb. So this is actually Napom's third time on the GBB's final.
River' best beatboxer in the world.
Can't wait for your reaction 😬😬
i think river got more complexity but napom tried but not so good compare to river.
Napom won this in my opinion
Idk why most people take the side of the beatboxer who's from the same country with them. It is the same case with Alem too. I'm sure if we had much variety in judge panel, NaPom would've won the GBB24. There are many deep analysis methods and using all shows even the difference is tiny, NaPom got the both rounds with small advantage. No disrespect to Alem, I love him as an artist and love his content but this video is a great example why SwissBeatbox should choose judges very carefuly, not just choose winner beatboxers.
Please react brez willcard gbb24
I agree River won this🗣️🔥
This is a beatbox competition more than just a "battle", just because you had the battle energy and answered your opponent well that doesn't automatically grant you the win.
The people who claimed Napom was robbed only looked at the surface level, instead of trying to understand what truly makes real champion.
the real champion is the one who is a long-established legend, who won the gbb in 2016 and who reached the final twice destroying everyone
fuck off
its a Beatbox battle guys not music idol my opinion Napom won
Next ADI KERANG🔥🔥
I still believe Nepom should have won it,river did something new for sure bet it was not that good beats to hear.....Alem is true that napom should have done something new...
bro is so based, river kept showing the same slow flow for the whole tournament. Quite boring in a battle too.
Biased* 😂 based is completely contradicting your next statements
River is well structured and difficulty wise with the new tech combos than Napom. And napom recyling his beats since 2016-2024 with adding some freestyle.
First round neither round felt like “GBB final” level. Second round river took it only because napom’s was all stuff we’ve heard.
Napom best of ever!
First round river copy Gene, second round ending copy Collapse 100%, Napom winner he is Power
Letssss gooo excited to see your thoughts on this battle Alem!
Only alem himself and his true fans Can like this comment
❤
Kingke
For me Napom narrowly edged out river. I’m still not a huge fan of the way battles are going, it being more sets than battles. River second round was but more battle style but it felt a little disconnected, like less convincing structure. Napoms power and battle style throughout is more my preference. Narrow win for Napom, but not unhappy with the outcome. River is so clean and technical.
For me win Napom Split desicion 🫡
I expected alem to bend towards river as he is french
wow
Napom won.
NEXT REACT TAGTEAM WILDCARD GBB24 name team FAKE & AUTOTUNE so crazy man taras sain ft improver
Did went fisrt against codfish and toma both finals d low goes first
Napom win for me
for me napom win
Napom 🔥
why river win? i think napom counter him in round 1 because napom copy the flow of river and in round 2 he counter it also
He did but that doesnt give you automatic win, it's just a minor part of score
@@TrakTv okay im just asking
1st : Please in the comment , PRIVATE thing has to stay PRIVATE ..so real name or shit like this , even if you know the guy has to stay unknown . Just for on-line security matter.
2sd : mY OPINION about champion on the BeatBox Set is :
It has to be a artist who give something new in every round . The final champion is in the final because he has done some new trick before the final ....
Napom has been selected by Only D-Low ( he said that Napom was more in battle stage attitude , and more powerful , but when he step back a lilltle he could change his vote for River because of the new stuff value and overall control)
And i think that Alem pointed well the fact that "the 2 times " thing , the multiple times Gin references ( the sign of copycating beat of Gin in the first round ) , costed him credibility . Because he could win the battle easily if he was sit in the control chair like River was .
When your are that good , you can win by starting . River has more Value in his victory because he has to start the Final .And like i said before , he had already prepared thing before the battle IN CASE !
River has controlled this GBB with a classy attitude !
And that's a fact
But we love the dirty battle YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH !
See you next GBB krkkrkr
OLHAHA
I like you opini
let s be true
Yeah let's be true we should never allowed someone on the same group(beatbox house) to be a judges because their will be vote for his friend no matter what....
Dlow vote for napom too @@Alanuari890
who can go 2 times in the final? xD napom with 3 times
It is the battle and the crowd that matters… it’s not showcase battle…
It’s a battle and in battle attitude Napom won big time.
River was good, but less battle
Opinion seems a little bias because Alem 's style is closer to River's. Just an opinion, not a fact
@@DamienOnYTriver copied gene in the first round and used tech already listened twice, also he didnt delivery any power
drop river x drop colapssssss
River deserved to win. the counter was not good, the Gene comment didn't hit, overall lack of structure and innovation in Napom's routines cost him
Napom is the winner for me
Bias 😂
You have to stay constant on the way you judge like... You are really big on the battle attitude, you always emphasis on rounds answers and crowd energy. Yourself is really big on that, on the stage and as a judge. Yet on this battle its not the same. I wonder why? You say you want something different from napom, after the first round ... when he answeard river at his own musical style, and did a better job musically (not technically, but musically definetely did). So where is the sincerity? If we want to refer to difficulty and skill and technicality, DLow is the best on the planet. And he voted Napom. So big minus for the beatbox community.
Napom won im sorry
if napom did not repeat his beat too much. he will win for sure
