I think it's because a lot of that growth took place when we were going through good times economically and it was still mostly European immigrants. We spent the 2000s in the "honeymoon phase" during which many people simply saw it as the maturation of our country into a less parochial one (I still can't fathom what was so bad about being parochial). Then the recession happened and while the mood did begin to sour somewhat, this was in a climate of far more limited immigration. However, what started to happen was that while many European immigrants started leaving, the Africans and Asians kept coming, with the large Muslim populations starting to become more noticeable outside of Dublin and the other cities around the middle of the 2010s. Near the end of the decade more and more stories started coming out about violent crimes by immigrants against natives and of mass acts of disorder by black people in north county Dublin. I've been following these developments since 2015 and I would say the roots of widespread public resentment towards these changes date back to roughly that time. The failed Pegida rally in Dublin in 2016 was probably the first public demonstration against immigration, but that was largely in response to international events. I don't think the gravity of our own situation sunk in until about 2018 when the aforementioned mini-riots by blacks in north Dublin started gaining attention and then an Egyptian killed a Japanese guy in Dundalk whole shouting something about Alan's snack bar.
My fear is that we're in a similar phase to the English circa the 1970s, during the peak of the National Front. Unfortunately that movement went nowhere. However, we don't have a false opposition (like Thatcher and the Tories) to misdirect this energy, so that gives me some hope.

'Confronted'. It will occur.
The protest in Aughrim in Co. Wicklow where the construction workers were harassed is not going to be an IPAS immigrant housing centre. The workers were tidying up a car park and doing some work to allow some shops to trade out of the old hotel building in the village this summer...nothing more. The locals were driven to this by the guy Darren McGovern who was interviewing the builder. He had stoked up the village beforehand with his rhetoric and whipped them into a frenzy and then tried to play the diplomat. I dont agree with the amount of immigrants coming into Ireland, and something should be done, but this guy Darren is running for local elections as a County Councillor in Co. Wexford and his stick is whipping up fear in villages...and threatening workers who are just going about their business. This isn't how we should be protesting. This guy is nothing but a thug.
@@kevintyrrell9559the locals found out that the building had been bought by one Brian MacDermott who they know has turned other properties into IPAS. The obsession with feminism and western comforts makes men weak. They think women are their opponents, so they've dropped their standards. It's other men using women to consolidate power into fewer hands.

SO SICK OF LAZY FORGIENERS! 😤
It's spelt 'foreskinners'.
That's why their countries are nothing.
The truth is Carl, these people in Newtown mount Kennedy are protesting this plantation stuff with months, 24 hours a day 7 days a week and are fed up of just not being listened to by the establishment and were beaten and pepper sprayed five or six nights ago so you can hardly blame the boy for reacting to this guy the way he did, one of those people who were beaten or pepper sprayed could have been his mother or father or brother ect...the contractor in the video didn't look like he was gonna move on any where untill that kid started shouting at him, good on him I say 👍
The 'pain' in the clip, for me, is 'nice cop' on the left is being very affective with his negotiating skills, and where the contractor should've been left in silence to consider his position, and come to his own conclusion, the 'bad cop' on the right shouting/wailing during that awkward silence, was actually detracting from 'nice cops' negotiation work.
@@samuelclark8064 do you live there? Do you know what those people are going through night after night? It's beyond the pale my friend! If the people of NI or Britain think it's just a coincidence that Scotlands leader, Englands Leader and soon the Welsh leader and this NI mayor are in the positions they're in by sheer coincidence or 'democracy' I can only assume they're the types to buy the line 'diversity is our strength.
I think what it's shown is that in fact we do not have democracy, that's not a radical view, we simply do not have democracy, you can't vote for leadership, it's picked by people who's names you're not told, who sit behind in the shadows dictating the direction of our nations for globalist agendas.
Traitors first, invaders second.

Brits won't get off their backsides until it's too late. Good on the Irish for having the cohonas for fighting back.
Brits are literally sending them to Africa, which is why they are heading to Ireland. Or another way of looking at it, they are heading back to the EU where they came to Britain from.

Guys, saying there isn't migration into Scotland is not true, at all. I've lived in the capital for 19 years now and the demographic change in my area in the last 5-8 years has been massive. Both my local supermarkets are overrun with migrants and sometimes in the evenings, you rarely hear a Scottish accent. It isn't as bad as many places in England... yet, but it is notable. Glasgow is similar. My son and I went to Buchanan Street last year, within 15 mins, we had foreign beggars demanding, not asking, for food in a KFC. Scotland is going down the pan as well.
Same and I’m North of the Cairngorms. Supermarkets when all the food is reduced , is full of them trying to grab cheaper food before the elderly -who tend to need to as well.
Starting to creep into the south wales valleys as well.

Keep Ireland, Irish.
Amazingly, a lot of people in Ireland are happy to call the "new arrivals" Irish. Which is a bit galling to Northern protestants. A bunch of southern Irish Catholics did a very good attempt at hospitalising me for having the cheek to say I am Irish. Despite my family living there for at least 6 generations!
Strange to think if you were American and had been living in the States for six generations, since your ancestor sailed out from Ireland. You would be tattooing a shamrock to your chest and singing Danny Boy in bars and giving opinions on the IRA without really understanding anything about them.
@@cambs0181 Absolutely right.
It takes all sorts to make a world. Most Irish don't call the incomers Irish. That's just official spin.and you we just unlucky with the crowd you ran into in the south. Just out of curiosity where did that happen?
@@harry123_h9 I know I was unlucky and there are loads of nice folks in the Republic. It was in a bar in Germany. I heard 6 guys talking, and their accents were Irish. So I went over and said "nice to see you, I'm Irish too" They said to pull up a chair, but the conversation quickly came around to where in belfast I came from. Like EXACTLY where in Belfast. One jumped up and shouted "you're not Irish, your a f'ing prod! And a couple smashed bottles and attacked me with them. Fortunately the bar staff were on the ball, and quickly got between me and them. They held them back while I ran out of the back (staff) door. Unfortunately not an isolated incident. My mate was hospitalized (17 stitches in his head and concussion), because a bunch of the "lads" figured out he was a prod. The ironic thing is, that he isn't. He's just a catholic who lives in East Belfast.
@@Starman331I'm not very surprised to hear that TBH. There was a phenomen in the 90s of (especially ) young males from the post-industrial regions of Britain and Ireland travelling to find work in Holland and Germany (apparently it was a many as 1 Million from Britain alone) . My experience of irish living on the continent as casual labour is that they were disproportionately some of the worst types to encounter. Maybe the people from these Islands don't adjust well outside the Anglosphere and/or they on some unconscious level resented being reduced to migrant labour. On to that maybe people from all backgrounds on some level do?
"A terrorist group radicalizing young Irish men against normal immigrants who just want to live here in peace" sounds awfully lot like IRA to me.

I would argue that the lack of energy from the British public is the demoralising effect from the 'slow slicing' we have endured from the establishment.
The irish establishment has opened the floodgates so to speak. It's clear that whomever is behind this wants a certain level of instability in each country at the same time. Whoever could that be?
