The amount of people who saw me driving home From Charlotte this weekend singing along to this album is probably astronomical.
I like the symbolism of the bird sounds on the beginning.
On first glance they seem like sounds of an actual paradise.
And then when you listen more closely you notice they are actually more like digital glitches, a synthesizer programmed to break in a way that resembles a bird.
And when you consider the subject matter of the song, something natural and beautiful being actually artificial and twisted when you dig deeper really fits the theme.
Sleep Token makes art. Nothing is an after-thought, all the aspects and layers are results of careful design.
This album is such a roller coaster of emotion, by the end I feel like i took the journey with Vessel
Unrequited love. Painful longing. Melancholy. Grief and anguish.
All humans experience these things throughout our lives and that's why I think Vessels lyrics hit so hard for all of us.

Such a phenomenal album. This might be the best album I've ever heard and I'm not even kidding. Interesting how you mention that heartbreak and relationship toxicity theory with Vessel and there could be something to that. I've experienced something similar in my previous marriage that ended in 2011. Almost to the day (today) actually. I have this distinct memory where I saw some messages after I moved out that I wasn't supposed to see, where I had this thought of "this still hurts, but this marriage has to stay dead" after reading what I had read. It doesn't make you feel any better in a situation like that, and not only that, but it instills this newfound sense of terror you didn't have before, and deepens the scar of "what else was this person hiding from me?" This song is not the only song on this record that reminds me of my own past.
Tough to pick a favorite from this album. One day it'll be this track, next day it'll be Ascensionism, then there's Granite and The Summoning....

This has genuinely become one of my all time favorite songs. But then again so have Ascensionism and Euclid.

Every song is not just a song it is an incredible experience. The best metal band at the moment by far.

I've adored Sleep Token since 2021, so grateful that I found them. 🥰☺️ Their music is just so beautiful and multidimensional and the amount of feelings it brings... There are no words. Had the priviledge of getting to see them live at a festival a few weeks back here in Finland, hopefully they'll get their own concert some day soon here as well. ❤️

people always comment on his voice but one thing that is even better is his song writing, the lyrics and way to sings and writes them is rare and beautiful

I followed your channel wayyyy back when you were doing the ayahuasca retreats, for a couple years around that time, then fell off the map and wasn't really on YT at all for several years. Got back to using YT a couple years ago on a different account (couldn't remem the login creds for my original haha), and just now coming across this in my recommended section while watching other reactions to ST songs. Great minds vibe with each other and find each other!
Also, the audio quality comes through beautifully with however/whatever medium you're using to make/upload these videos, so keep it up! Frustrating to listen to/watch a reaction video and you can hardly make out the song XD
I dont know if you have ever listened to Berried Alive but I think you would really enjoy them. They just released 2 of their best tracks ever and would love for you to check them out. Masterpeach and Butterflies are the tracks. I dont care if you post a reaction or not. Just seems like the kind of emotional, beautiful music you would be into.
