Love the videos. You've inspired me to make my kayak a little more serious. I have new electronics and started fishing a little bigger water trolling for walleye in my home state of Michigan. Keep the content comming dude!!👍

How far out do you normally go?
I’ve only ever hit Michigan inland lakes and wading rivers for salmon. Just set my rig up with a wireless troller and garmin vivid 5cv and a bunch of other “ must haves “ I’ve seen off watching your videos. Pretty much using them as a basic tutorial for my kayak rig success.
Keep up the good work!! Definitely inspiring to venture off to bigger and better set ups!

I’ve gone out as far as 130’ under ideal conditions

Hey Mike, What speed do you troll at? I know that it all depends on wind and direction, but generally 1.8 to 3.0? I enjoy your video's.

Yes that’s the range. Go by .2 meaning 2.0 if no bites 2.2, so on to 2.8 typically is max for me

Make sure to get a fish hawk so you know the actual speed of your baits becsuse the under current can speed your baits up or slow them down

In a boat sure but it’s not feasible in a kayak. We largely just go buy GPS speed and adjust accordingly

Maybe you have already done this but maybe a good tutorial on kayak wave control like you touched on at the end of this video. I find myself usually just turning into them.

Could you explain what you mean in a little more detail so I can understand better? Maybe it is something I can create content around.

One video you showed your good fishing buddy tipping over and explained how he placed his hand on his gunnal of his kayak, this caused him to tip over. This video you talked about how to navigate the waves etc. All good points for new big water kayakers like me to pay attention to.

You ever mess around with torpedo color? Might be some content for you to play with…

Torpedo color? Do you mean leadcore? Not sure I’m understanding

@@ChiCityYaker painting/stickering your torpedo so it’s less stealthy and more of an attractant. Similar to the options for dipsy-type divers. I recently painted one white and put uv tape on it but work has kept me from experimenting with it.

Actually never thought of it. I may try it since some of mine have been beat up and chipped paint away. Thanks

@@ChiCityYaker do you have an email? I’ll send you a photo of mine (again- I don’t know if my design is effective)
