Jeff is back with some personal tips to share with the first time beard growers.
Tip #1 - Be Present
Don't strictly concentrate on what you want your beard to be. Live for the moment and enjoy the journey of growing it out. You'll never be at a perfect place. You're always going to want your beard to look a different way. Don't let this consume you and take away from the simple pleasures of having a beard.
Tip #2 - Be Patient
Beards do NOT give you instant gratification. They take awhile, especially if you want to grow a very long one. Just relax and understand it will keep growing.
Tip #3 - Be Complimentary
You can't change your genetics. However, they can work for you and be the best they can be.
Tip #4 - Be Confident
No matter what beard you have, own it. It will look good. Simply put, if you're a penguin, be a badass penguin.
Tip# 5 - Be Yourself
If you're growing a beard. Don't look for attention and validation. Do it for you, and only you. - Навчання та стиль
I won't lie. I'd be willing to give up my first born for a beard like that! Great job again mate.
Wayne Goss me too
hahaha now that's commitment
-Parker
Ya Jeff is the epitome of masculinity. Such an awesome guy.
Wayne, i love you man! P.S. everyone who sees this, go follow him! he's the man!

"Growing a 3 month beard takes a while"
It actually takes, specifically, 3 months ;-)
Yep. 100% agreed. Well stated.
thanks bud!
"Let it grow, let it flow"
he kinda looks like arnold with a beard. anyone else with me?
Finally some1 mentioned it! He can definitely tell every time, when he is going to go to, f.e., WC:"I'll be back!" :D
i hear that a bit!
1kai fuck no
Nop he doesn’t
oh my goodness. CANNOT UNSEE
I was going to shave my beard, which i spent 4 years growing it, off completely but you changed my mind. Thank you very very much!
dont shave it off man...by the way...cool avatar
Glad we were able to inspire you to let it grow!
-Parker
Thank YOU! :D

never thought I would be getting such GREAT advice from a beard video! This is a excellent video because it's multi faceted and is broad in its application. nice vid!
Met this guy in person, took a few pics of him, I didn't know who he was just had a dope beard and he knew how to model lol. Very cool dude, good vibes; this is a good video too.
That's awesome that you randomly ran across him.
Welcome back, Jeff! Always love your vids. Thanks for the awesome advice, man.
missed you Jeff! haha. Great video.
Great advice, always good to see Jeff on the channel
Great advice! Just over a month growing my beard and I started second guessing myself in doing this but needed this for helping me to just go for it and let it grow. Btw it's my first time doing this and always wanted to grow one. Thanks for this vid!
when i get the message that beardbrand uploaded a new video, the video is one point more on the end of my to do list but when the video is with Jeff it becomes the first point of the list! this man is a bearded legend.
Herr Frew ya, the best things are those we need to wait for. Jeff's videos are that!
you're all too kind!
All of us beardsmen, we all share multiple common traits. The most important of all, we are mastering the art of patience. Once you can achieve that, you're opening up to accomplish anything.
Cheers to us!
Patience is a virtue.
-Parker
I support Beardbrand because you guys take pride in the fact that life is about creating your own destiny and most importantly making sure you're the best possible version of YOU. A beard company who ultimately knows that beards don't make you any better as a man, they're not some instant cure for insecurity or low self esteem. They just so happen to look badass ;).
Love the advice! Super healthy train of thought for anything not just beards. Thanks Jeff good to see you on here again!
Thanks for the great feedback.
-Parker
that's the idea! Thanks!
Dude, your beard is awesome! Mine, I like, but it's kinda curly, I live with it, and I guess it aint gonna get no longer, I wanted it to my belly button, but nahhh it aint gonna make it. Good video and a Thumbs up!~John
mine is curly on the sides, don't worry about it!
how much we need to get a long beard ? now i can't see the difference between this month and the month before ! and the moustache how much time it's really not grownig x) :( !!
Mustache growth is always slowest, and also shortest (usually)
I really appreciate this video. I'm two weeks in for the first beard of my life and I'm feeling very insecure about it. This actually helped me ease my mind and not take it so seriously. Thanks, mate!
This wasn't a weird vid at all. Believe it or not, it was extremely inspirational. Thanks!
Having trouble getting hair to grow in thick on my chin and mustache would love to move past the thick neckbeard stage any advice helps !!
Possibly think about dyeing the fuzzy (thinner) hairs same color as your thicker hairs.
great video jeff, nice to see you back
I been using the same beard cleaner for years it used to soften very well yet now it doesn't do anything I've tried many different conditioners on it yet it's o wiry and oily it's really bothering me any ideas on what causes this and how to fix it
How long is your current Beard?
That's about 3 to 4 months with clean up trim.
a question
What can be done for itching when the beard grows?
Check out this video we did on it: ua-cam.com/video/bpcn2Jc0ELo/v-deo.html
Totally agree. When I was younger I always tried to look how other people wanted me to look, I was never truly happy. I now look how I want to look and don't care what other people think, I'm the happiest I have ever been. I now apply this to everything in life.
gotta do you :D ha!
Where’d you get that sweater dude? I want it
My beard grows to about mid ear, no sideburns. What I do is do a medium fade haircut. I just sort of own it. Any advice for me?
This might be the best beard video I've seen so far. Thanks Jeff! You're awesome!
Yaaay! Jeff is back, back at it with some solid wisdom.
I grew my beard for 4 month then had a ingrowing hair on my jawline that I picked for a few days making a circular hole in my beard which looked horrendous! I shaved it down to a long stubble so it didn't look as bad but now have to start over again 🙈
i used to focus on my beard a lot but now I go to the gym everyday and wash it and do what I usually do and letting it grow and gonna trim it
Any tips to how to tame your beard the way you want it to look, having problems with my Sideburn long hairs trying to curl towards my ears.. I'm looking for some tips, I have been growing my beard out for 4 months now...
all i can say is start training how it lays with daily brushing.
I do brush it everyday and I use beard balm and beard oils once or twice a day, used beard conditioning soap every other day...
Than that's just your genetics. and what is wrong with it curling anyways?!
wow, I really miss Jeff's videos. I really loved this one. Today I actually went out of my way to complement someones beard, at mall foodcourt I got up from the table and said He had an awesome beard, and that I loved how it was a dark deep redish color, and headhair was a dark brown, similar to Jeff.
I'm 6 weeks into my beard, & I absolutely love it, I've been able to grow a decently thick beard since 17, I'm 22 now & I've noticed that it has gotten a lot better as I've aged. Great video & great tips.
Always take time out to watch a Jeff BeardBrand upload. 'The Man'!!
I appreciate that!
Where can I buy that sweater?
Does anyone know a good beard-smith in the New York New Jersey area? My guy left to West coast. Thanks. Awesome video Jeff
I always recommend my boy Christian at soon salon in Brooklyn, Smith St.
BUON CO. Thank you
Great video Jeff. Always enjoy your content keep up the good work!
One of the greatest Beardbrand Videos in my opinion.Thank you for sharing your ideas! :)
One side of my beard is straight, but the other side has a beard wave at my Jawline.. I try to brush it out with a hairdryer but it just stays curly.. Please helpppp
koottsta koopr lol that could be true, but usually I sleep with my head straight
If not for these types of videos I would have shaved at 1 month. At the other side of month 4 now and I'm glad I stuck with it, thanks JB!
Jeff is my favorite! I have a full beard and while I can't imagine myself without it, I have felt no one else really liked it and that it wasn't very nice. This video was exactly what I needed to hear, I need to get in the right headspace. Thanks for another great video guys :)
Thanks Jeff, awesome advice! Great to see you again!
My beard is grey and I want dark, wavy and I want straight, coarse and I want smooth but I am 4 months into my yeard and I am learning to love it!
I'm so glad I discovered Beardbrand, you guys have taught me to just be happy with what I can grow for my beard and not listen to what other people say..so I'm just doing me
Hey brother. Great thoughts. Easy to get sidetracked by others' negative comments. Good to see you back with another super video. Cheers!
One of the best videos of beardbrand I have seen so far...great job Jeff..
This is the most philosophical beard video I have ever seen. I nearly teared up dude...
Jeff Buoncristino -- the best beard ambassador out there, period!
Be yourself is a good tip. If you don’t go fishing for compliments and just be yourself, compliments come from themselves. At least I experienced it that way.
How much does it take for it to be considered a beard?
Beard: (n) a growth of hair on the chin and lower cheeks of a man's face.
You guys need a place to up load a beard so I can say help!! I tried everything to keep my beard soft, but I'm afraid the winter goes hard on it??
Nice Jeff that was a really good video. Thanks man.
Hi, I have problems to grow a beard and moustache with good volume, because my hair is straight like a goat, so I grew my beard for 3 month and It looked crap so i shaved it. The 1st of march I started again and Its growing better and with more volume, I will try for 5 months. 💪💪
Jeff finally learned to relax his forehead.. Good to see you back again Buon..
I feel that if no one comments on the way I look it looks good when I make a change
My boyfriend has pictures of you (: he really looks up to you. Great tips, man.
tip 4 might have just saved my life. and i thank u for it
Jeff! Could you do a video on moustache trimming? I love how your moustache looks big and bushy, yet also looks trimmed and isn't hanging in your mouth.
Got it. Be a penguin😂 jk
That's what I took away from it also lolol
-Parker
Because chicks like penguins, lol

Thank you sir. Once again great advice!

-Parker
Loved the talk!
good to see you back jeff
Thanks for another great video friend. I’m about 6-7weeks in. I made a few rookie mistakes, ie trimmed the cheeks & jawline...oops. It was before I found the Beardbrand products & videos. I’m letting it grow now, and it’s looking better. My wife digs it!
Keep being yourself bro, you are rad!
I felt like you were speaking directly to me throughout the whole video.
Great video dude 👍
Love me some Jeff videos. They are my favorite 👊🏻
we love you jeff, always very nice tips
Welcome back, Jeff!
just love the last point.. i always follow what my heart says.. i do change looks to make myself happy :-)
Great stuff. Getting to the root of it. And I like how it can fit anyone. I wish my older sisters had someone tell them these types of things when they were growing up while looking at fashion magazines and wishing they were those girls. Be authentic. Thanks for the video. ✌️
Yeah the tips apply to everyone really. Guys and girls.
-Parker
To elaborate what he left out in being patient i myself never gave my cheeks a chance to grow in my entire life im 39 now I've been letting them grown now for about 3 & half months now the first month or two it's was very patchy in this 3rd ish month I've noticed it's starting to look much better hair came in where I thought should never grow. mind you my dad had a full beard i say that to say this you need to let your beard grow for at least 8 months to a year to truly see what your full potential is🦁
Great video! :D Love the topic and you are a great speaker! I agree with you, and strive to be myself. It's impossible to not look at other beards, but I try to not obsess about someone else look in order to try to make mine like theirs. That being said, your beard is pretty freaking epic and fits your face perfectly. Hahahaha. I had to say it. It might be easier to follow your advice if you had no beard at all in this video. :-P
David idk what you're talking about, your beard is equally as epic!
-Parker
Thank you, it's a work-in-progress, ever-changing, but rewarding! I've yet to find my "perfect" style, but that's half the fun of growing a beard isn't it? :D
You have a great beard. I am not saying don't NOTICE others, or be inspired by, but don't try to HAVE or BE like another! Love yourself!
Thank you Jeff. I fully understand what you meant. I was trying to be witty. :)
Great post Jeff.
Gotta rock da beard yo got!
Did not expect this beard tips video to be a Tony Robbins seminar. Thumbs up

Tip #1 holds true in a lot of things for me is there a name for that. Awesome looking beard 👍nice video
Being yourself is about focusing only on what you can control/influence, and ignoring everything else.
