Hey cool to see Insta360 here, I think the GO 2 is an awesome camera and would love a secure mount that would work for something like surfing. Having a camera that small mounted on you while surfing would be much better than something like a GoPro just because of size alone.
You have some of the most captivating imagery and audio I've seen in the UA-cam world. Nice video as always - I'll stick around for your personality AND your insights.
I think on the whole his production value is second to none and the effort is obvious. There are big commercial companies I'm subscribed to that's content is nowhere near as well done.
It looks brutal, I know - but my brother (the guy I was running down in that shot) was actually fine! (Obligatory: you should probably wear a helmet, unlike idiots like us.)

He’s an idiot, “when phones were fun” implies that phones aren’t fun anymore. I have far more fun on a modern smartphone than I did with a boring dumb phone that only made calls and occasionally texted, poorly.
@@tanksoo There's no reason why that should be the case though. Especially when tons of laptops are moving to USB-C ports only, that effectively means I literally wouldn't be able to connect the camera to a computer because of Insta360's nonsensical limitation.
Your reviews are consistently fun, full of life, and still give great insight to the product in question and is what truly hooked me on you and your channel. This camera looks real fun to use outside of the pairing process. Hopefully they make a second one that improves its flaws
I LOVED my Go2 for the two weeks it lasted, those little tripod legs are great until it falls and the internal lens breaks. I'll probably buy another one and be more careful as it lets you capture things that you would never capture with anything else. I miss the little fella.

I’ve had ruff setups and even one camera heated up so bad I contacted support. Long story short technical support blew my problem off. So kinda of a love hate relationship with company.

Even given its diminutive size, one would have expected some sort of SD Card support, at least then support for ½ - 1TB would not be out of the question.
I would love this if only I could find a way to mount it to a motorcycle helmet with a magnet but still have a tether/lanyard in case the magnet fails to hold it

those accessories look pretty cool. after al these years with other action cameras, the versatility is definitely key to long-term usefulness. Dealing with the rough setup is a shame though, tech-enthusiasts might be able to deal with it but kids and boomers might find themselves up a creek
If I had the money, I’d absolutely buy this camera. Like you say, it’s all about the versatility. Being able to shoot video in a new and fresh way makes the experience so much more enjoyable Also, the slow transfer speeds could be helped by connecting the camera to your phone directly (although you’d probably need an OTG cable or find a C to C cable that’s compatible with the camera)
also don't use rental scooters buy one yourself i own a ninebot g30 and the freedom of a range of 60+ km for free you can't beat that and they are so much prettier than rental scooters i love owning one and i recommend doing it i really recommend it
So do you think it's a good solution for the clip-on first perspective scenarios? It seems like a more versatile solution than mounting some GoPro rig on your chest or shoulder but not sure how much quality is impacted by it.
At 8:57 it's said that the included usb-cable is the only one that works, that's incorrect, atleast for my unit. I've never used the stock cable and have the camera connected to my PC right now using a regular oneplus cable that I also use with my phone. Suppose you could have an older firmware or it could be that it only works with usb-c to a and not usb-c to c.
The GoPro freezes but has a mode that allows you to record a little before you press record. That’s key to me. I’m going to read up on whether this one does. If not, I may end up returning it.

Dang it is much hassle for camera. with the asking price, could buy me a handycam or other small action cam Yeah agreed, i might have to wait for later iteration instead
I'm very interested in a go3 - if they can just bring freaking user storage for a little more chonk and make 3rd party cables that would make life be so much easier... Repairability would be essential with such a small batter too 🙏

Around 8:20, much later on, he said it took 45 min to transfer video to app. Oh, how the time flies by when it took probably 2.5 to 4 hours to transfer all videos on an 8GB memory device to laptop. In the future it will be like what Dane Cook said, "but the DMV will still take 9 F**KING SECONDS! NINE SECONDS??? I HAVE TO BE A WORK IN 3 SECONDS!!!!" 🤣🤣

I love this camera because it's always with me, always in my pocket and usually I have at least one mount with me.
I've fallen in love with my Go2 too. It's so practical and easy to carry and use even with all it's flaws

I love the concept but with the camera forcing you to use their cable that came with it is an big turn off for me.
Yeah. I mean that shouldn't be a thing with usb-c, if implemented correctly.
It just doesn't work with a USB C-C cable, I tried with other A-C cables and they are all good.

AFAIK you can order just the camera alone from insta360 support, last I heard was something like 160-180$
