I would love to know how you launder & take care of your pieces! This is something I am so interested in knowing from more high fashion creators, if you launder your pieces every so often or wash particular items in a certain way. The bralettes, blazers, pants etc. :)
I have all my expensive blazers and pants and most of my knits and tops dry cleaned. I also hand wash a lot of pieces or put them in the washer on the ‘delicate’ cycle.
I soak all my vintage "dry clean only" garments in an Oxyclean bath w/ warm water then rinse & let air dry (unless they are wool or silk). For wools- a basic, unscented white bar of soap and cool water does the trick. Also stretch it back to its desired shape & lie it out flat to dry (It will keep its shape better this way). And silks can be hand washed using Tides Free & Gentle or other basic detergents like it! In between washes, I'll dilute rubbing alcohol w/ water (or cheap vodka) & put it in an empty spray bottle to sprits my garments. This will kill all the odor causing particles/bacteria & freshen it up! I sell vintage and have acquired lots of garment cleaning knowledge along the way. Hope this helps!
@@Shell_Herbs absolutely !!! Thanks so much !!! What about coats ? How do you care for them ? Must say sometimes dry cleaning doesn’t feel enough . Also a great tip for wool and cachemire is to never wring them by twisting them . But gently squeeze out excess water them lay them flat on a towel and gently roll . Them lay them flat to dry . Also washing with Luke warm water require a luke warm rinse, it is the temperature difference that can really shrink and damage . Great material require great care . I had some of my cachemire for a solid ten years !
You are forever my fashion icon. Everything you wear is just so chic and timeless and I love it!!! Also, for the tangled necklace, have you tried untangling it with two sewing needles? Sounds weird , but the sewing needles are small enough to get in the tiny necklace holes and it takes some patience but you gently pull it to find out where you can untangle it. Hope that helps!
I loved this! I have a similar color-scheme in my wardrobe. Would love to see how you construct your outfits for different occasions/outings, how do you decide what to wear together and jewelery and whatnot 🙏🏼
I loved this type of video! Even if I can’t afford some of these items, it’s nice to get an idea for some staples that I can search for at a lower price point. Thank you for the endless fashion inspo 🤩
Ok, now I have to try bodysuits! ☺️ Thank you for your inspiration!! This year I started to rebuilt my entire wardrobe and focused on: - more neutral colors - better quality - what suits me the best - what is comfortable & suitable for my lifestyle
This is such a good idea for a video!! I would love to see another single item styling video like you did for the white shirt, I watch that video all the time! 🧡
Damn girl! You need to start hitting the thrift stores. Blazers, basic quality sweaters, vintage mens trousers galore! I'd love to send you a whole "thrifted alternatives" package to the pieces you love in your wardrobe. Better yet, it would be so fun to go thrifting with you if I lived anywhere near BC! But alas, I call Florida my home. You have such great style, I just know how much you could be saving ( not only fiscally but environmentally) & it hurts me in my loins! XOXO Loving Lanmas!
I love your comfort yet stylish pieces. I am constantly in joggers and hoodies and on "dressed" days I still need to be comfortable. Great collection 👌
Body suits truly are life changing. Not having to tuck in a top under a sweater all day is the blessing I never knew I needed until I started wearing them.
Hi Allana, just a tip. To untangle a necklace just apply an oil (baby oil works great) to the chain. Run between your fingers and just work the tangle out with either a pin or sewing needle. This usually takes a knot or tangle out of jewelry fine chains.
Take a pointy tweezer or something similar, try and stick it through the knot in the jewelry chain while it's laying (so that the tweezer goes through and touches the surface beneath) and then kinda shake it around, it usually loosens the knot for me, and then I use the tweezer to untangle it once it's loose!
Definitely learning to be more mindful of the purchases I make so they last me longer than the season they’re on trend. Love this video! I so so wish these brands made my sizes. I was to be chic and fab like Lan!!
Another option for the zara crewneck is the jcrew 'cashmere crewneck boyfriend sweaterI got it in a bunch of colors last summer and it is PERFECT. perfectly oversized but not too hot and ideal for layering. Highly highly recommend! I aspire to someday have your incredible blazer collection. the wardrobe NYC one .... i must have it
Oh, the menswear Zara pants, the white crop top and the jacket is a look I drool over! So so good! You are always my inspiration when it comes to clothing, your style is so classy and timeless! 🤍🤍🤍 EDIT: And the most important, everything looks so COMFY
So excited for this video! My question for the Q&A video was tips/tricks to feel and style at an elevated, more sophisticated, way. This is so helpful. Though, I feel like that could be a full video. "things that make me feel sophisticated/timeless"!
Wee video idea 😊 would love to have a Vancouver favourites - doesn't have to be a tour, but restaurants, cafes, things to do that you recommend! Would be amazing
You have such a awesome unique style! I swear you could literally wear a potato sack and make It fashionable!! I love watching your clothing hauls and try ons! 🤍
Zara trousers are a new discovery for me and I am in love. As far as a white bralette goes, Aubade makes a line called Bahia and it is stunning in white. 💖
If you haven’t already tried this hack for your knotted long necklaces, I always use two needles or thin toothpicks while the necklaces are flat on a table/surface. It takes a bit of patience, but you can carefully loosen the knots that way!
Not surprised by your picks, lol 👍🏼 I've gotten into oversized shirts, sweaters and jackets. Can't believe how much I like how they look on me because I'm pretty short. But that's what I've been enjoying in 2021 😉
I ordered a pair of dad jeans after your recommendation! Abercrombie should sponsor you. You landed them some sales. Love the grey collared v-neck cashmere sweater too! Love your style.
That coat is absolutely perfect! Your entire top ten is insanely gorgeous! I absolutely adore your style & have given me inspo for sure Lan!! Thanks so much for sharing xoxoxo 🤗❤💚❤✌. I for sure am checking out those jeans too!
I’ve had a few surgeries this year and I’m having trouble finding a new style to conceal the tummy area. I am only able to wear dresses and like watching videos like these to motivate myself to keep dressing well.
I can usually get knots out of necklace chains by putting the necklace on a table or counter and using two pins or toothpicks to loosen the knots! It’s such a weird tip but it works!
My fav is def the KHAITE cashmere sweater 🤩. Indeed theres affordable options available…I’m truly in love with that type of sweater. I have them in different colors and have them as kinda polo style for summer ugghhhh it’s amazing. The KHAITE one looks gorgeous 😭
Hello gorg Lan 🥰 loved the video. You can really tell that you are a fashion lover, mixing luxury and high street rather than buying for the brand/logo 🙌 And I'm *here* for abercrombies comeback, these jeans are so flattering on me as a fellow 'larger-legged' gal haha! 😂 Sending lots of love to you and Dejan! ❤ x
Love this video!! It’s a great staples video, really want to focus on creating a staple, cohesive wardrobe in 2022. I’m definitely lacking key staple pieces
Suggestion for your knotted necklace…take 2 needles or unfold paper clips and use them as “fingers”. Holding part of the knot with one of the needles and using the other to wiggle and pull apart the knot. (Definitely need to do this on a countertop, smooth surface) It many take a bit but it has worked for me in my retail days when the necklaces would end up a hot mess. Hope this helps❤️
I ordered and loved the curve love jeans! Got the Dad and the 90’s wide leg. So nice to have jeans that fit my big butt and smaller waist. Good luck with the necklace. Laying it on a table and not holding it in the air helps. That way gravity isn’t working against you. Tweezer, pins are also super helpful
Use a safety pin, paper clip or a capped pen to get the knot in your necklace out. Put the necklace on a hard surface and poke the knot with the end of the pin, clip or pen then wiggle it around with your finger. It will loosen up if you don’t pull.
I would love to know how you launder & take care of your pieces! This is something I am so interested in knowing from more high fashion creators, if you launder your pieces every so often or wash particular items in a certain way. The bralettes, blazers, pants etc. :)

I second this comment!
Great question

That’s what I do, too! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is the best tip thank you!!!! 😭🙏🏻
I used two sets of pointed tweezers. Always worked for me. This sounds great too.
I’ve bought the Zara pantaloons too back then. Now have them in grey, black , brown and in a linnen too ! Thank you for the recommendation 😍
I loved this! I have a similar color-scheme in my wardrobe. Would love to see how you construct your outfits for different occasions/outings, how do you decide what to wear together and jewelery and whatnot 🙏🏼

Love this! Me too!
LOVE!!!! thanks to you and Dejan for all your effort this Lanmas 🥰
I always wondered about the comment total on a non Lanmas giveaway video, glad to still be here. Loved the cashmere sweater!!
Ok, now I have to try bodysuits! ☺️
Thank you for your inspiration!!

I believe that blazers can give anyone a sudden boost of confidence 😎

I cannot wait for my curve love jeans to come!! Thanks for the recommendation!!
I just bought the Abercrombie 90s curve jeans! LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!!
I loved this video!!🤍 my faves would be my oak & fort trousers, my basic Zara muscle ish tees, and my oversized stripped jumpers!
I can usually get knots out of necklace chains by putting the necklace on a table or counter and using two pins or toothpicks to loosen the knots! It’s such a weird tip but it works!
Yes! Me too. I use an embroidery/sewing needle & a pair of tweezers. Works like a charm!
Love this video format! You have the best style!
My grandma taught me a trick….take a safety pin and poke the pin into the necklace knot and sort of just jiggle the pin. The knot will come right out.
I love your fashion sense so much!! 😍
💯 Agree on wearing trousers and jeans. Loved all your top picks but I'm SHOCKED there's no button down shirt in this list!!! 🤣🤣🤣
THAT coat!!!!!! It makes my heart beat! I want it in black though! 😍👌🏼

Hello gorg Lan 🥰 loved the video. You can really tell that you are a fashion lover, mixing luxury and high street rather than buying for the brand/logo 🙌

I am obsessed with the wardrobe nyc blazer!!
Yes please to all your clothing choices 👌✨
Not only a top 10 purchases, but also a perfect capsule wardrobe 😍
Love this video!! It’s a great staples video, really want to focus on creating a staple, cohesive wardrobe in 2022. I’m definitely lacking key staple pieces

What a beautiful look on you with the black top! Truly striking - and I think your fair skin works well with the look. ❤️
Allana I love your style and all of your picks this year. You are very unique and make everything your own, I love that about you.
I love your style!!! So classic and beautiful!!!!

The coat is divine!!!😍😍

I’m going to be buying some new jeans in the new year, and I’ve already started scoping them out on A&F from your show and tell of them during Lanmas!
I also added a beautiful blazer to my collection, can't wait to wear it more in 2022 !
Use a safety pin, paper clip or a capped pen to get the knot in your necklace out. Put the necklace on a hard surface and poke the knot with the end of the pin, clip or pen then wiggle it around with your finger. It will loosen up if you don’t pull.
